Blodborne Now Has A Release Date For All Other Locations
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The release date for all territories has been announced for Blodborne from Sony at the Tokyo Game Show At the beginning of the month we had a nice showing of Blodborne and its slated release date in Japan during Sony's pre-TGS press event. This was nice and all for all of those who lived in Japan but the rest of the world was wondering when Blodborne would be hitting their PS4s and if it would be around the same time. I know I speculated on the same thing at the time of the press event so I know what everyone was talking about. Well it looks like all of the speculation was pretty much correct as we will be seeing Blodborne on February 6th 2015. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming We can call it a wrap on this week of gaming now can't we? No we can all move on to play all of those games that we've been putting off until the weekend now and dig right in. That does not mean that we didn't have a whole lot to cover in the world of gaming news. There was quite a bit as well as a few reviews for games coming out next week here. That would be both Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux that I am talking about here. Read More...

See All The Haunted House Jump Scares Of Bloodborne From Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay video for Bloodborne has been released and it shows off the combat and odd AI for the game Just like the Wild Hunt gameplay I spoke about earlier, here we have the same treatment for Bloodborne from Gamescom. It may not be 37 minutes but it is a nice chunk of change that shows off all the gameplay for Bloodborne in action. As well as a bit on that Regain System that was talked about during the convention proper. It shows that and a bit more on what I touched upon when I saw the gameplay at E3 but we'll get to that in a moment. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 8/11/14 — 8/15/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It was Gamescom week so as to be expected the gaming news came rolling in nonstop. We are still trying to recover and get everything we can out there for you readers. There were some ups, like Until Dawn getting revitalized for the PS4, and then there were some downs, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider being slated as an Xbox exclusive for a bit of time. Then again that is only bad news for those out there planning on playing the game on a PlayStation or PC so you can take that as you will for now. Another bit of interesting-ness in the world of gaming is that it seemed like there was a hard push for horror games this week. Read More...

Let's Regain Some Perspective On The Combat System Of Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Not only was there a new trailer for Bloodborne out of Gamescom but some new information on the combat system and how it differs from other IPs When I first saw Bloodborne at E3 I was under-impressed with what I saw. Visually Bloodborne looked spectacular but as far as gameplay and combat went it looked nothing like the announcement trailer or other bits of CGI that was being shown. What I was expecting was fast paced and not along the lines of Demon's Souls' kind of combat for this PS4 title. Luckily there was a bit more of an explanation for Bloodborne at Gamescom here recently and it is starting to make more sense now. Read More...

Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries To Be Playable At Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries to be at Gamescom and playable in the consumer area for the first time to the public If Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries sounds familiar but you can't place your finger on it, it was showcased during the ID@Xbox montage during the Microsoft press conference on June 9th. Some of you may have heard about the game before that, have a free cookie, but to the public at large that was one of the largest showcasing of the game to date. It was announced a little under a year ago so it is pretty cool for the developers to get the showing at E3 and now Woolfe is getting a nice playable version at Gamescom. That might not be all that cool for a lot of us who will not be able to make the adventure to Gamescom, assuming most of my readers are in the North American region of course, but that does mean that we will be seeing more video from Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries soon. This Week In Gaming 6/16/14 — 6/20/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of June 2014 - 11:06 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming This week in gaming news should be the epic conclusion to the E3 coverage that we were able to cover. There was just so much that I wish would could have covered more but there was a good long list of hands on and impressions for you to read through. Even if you don't feel like reading they are all filled with video snippets of the gameplay or trailers that were placed out there to impress and awe. I like to plan ahead as we all have too little time to waste sometimes when it comes to our gaming needs. Read More...

In The Mix Of E3 We Kind Of Missed The Doom 4 Teaser Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There was a Doom 4 teaser released during E3 but the full reveal is slated for QuakeCon. We have that teaser though If there is one thing that I hate about E3 it is that we all get so busy that things like the new Doom 4 teaser trailer falls through the cracks and doesn't get its 15 minutes of fame. I almost missed it in the mix of all the emails and social media posts. Lucky enough for all of us that I caught it and was able to place it in memory to show off after all the madness had ended. E3 2014 Impressions: Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of June 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
While at E3 I got to see Bloodborne in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it One of the larger titles named and shown during the Sony press conference was a game called Bloodborne. The next title coming from Japan Studios and From Software for the PS4. You may know them from King's Field and Dark Souls and it looks like Bloodborne is along the same lines here. I had the pleasure of seeing their live gameplay demo on the show floor at E3. Lucky for you I am going to break down what was shown outside of the pre-rendered trailer. Read More...

Bethesda has release the launch trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order and we have it here. Bethesda has released a new trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order which releases next week. The new trailer shows plenty of bloody ways to kill Nazis. Or as B.J. puts it; shooting, stabbing and strangling Nazis. The launch trailer also gives you more of an insight into B.J. Read More...

Rumor Mill: God Of War 4 And Halo 5 At E3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
'Leaked' documents surrounding the three big E3 Press Events point to new games and demos not previously announced. It would seem that there is a new document showcasing the schedules for the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo conferences making the rounds online. The validity of this document is still to be determined but if it is true we could be seeing a new God Of War title as well as a demo for Halo 5. Of course at each respectful E3 press event and not in one big collaboration. Could you imagine that though? Read More...

We Are Getting A Watch_Dogs 'Sequel' Already…In eBook Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has announced an eBook sequel story to the events of Watch_Dogs slated to come out around the game's launch. Watch_Dogs is still about a month out from launch and there is already a talk about a sequel to the game's story. This isn't another quick turnaround for another game in the new franchise but an eBook titled Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds. Kind of an interesting way to go about it there but it does fit into Ubisoft's want for all IPs to be able to have a franchise built around it. From what has been stated so far don't expect it to be just a continuation of the story in Watch_Dogs the game but a whole new story in the same universe written by John Shirley. Read More...

April Fools: Razer Jokes About Something I Dreamt Up As A Child With Eidolon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Yet another April Fools' joke; this time from Razer in the form of Eidolon. A crazy augmented reality drone and contact lens system. Now here is yet another April Fools' joke straight from Razer in the form of a product called Eidolon. This is one of the more obvious jokes floating around today but the fun fact here is that I had an idea for this back when my mortal coil was a young lad. What am I talking about? Well if you haven't jumped to the video for Razer's Eidolon 'project' yet it is all about a 'power glove' of sorts that has a mini-drone that will follow you around taking video and images of your life.
