Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Things are starting to slow down and we can start to kick back and enjoy some of those video games we have out there. It is that time of year, and even though the awards of last week gave us some stuff to look at for The Callisto Protocol and a new Mass Effect, I have feeling things will be slowing down a lot more until the new year starts. Back 4 Blood The alpha test for Back 4 Blood is kicking off with access and a new video for Back 4 Blood out there for us all Today is the day that the alpha test for Back 4 Blood kicks off and if you were lucky enough to get access, you might already be jumping in on it. If you missed the announcement that there was going to be one from Turtle Rock Studios, do not fret as there is still time to try to get in on it. It runs from today (17th) until the 22nd for many out there to give it a go, help with balancing, and try to break it so it will be the best in the end. Hood The release date for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is now set down with pre-order allowing early access to Hood a few days early There is now a date set for when we can expect to head into the world of Hood: Outlaws & Legends to try to be the best thief team as possible. That date set down as May 10th for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC from Sumo Newcastle. A little bit of a wait for us to go through, sure, but it is something to look forward to if you have been pining for a game in this vein. Werewolf We have gameplay for Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood to give us a solid look at how this werewolf adventure will flow Here we go with some solid gameplay for the upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood to take in. A full six minutes that goes over the various aspects we have been pondering about and fresh out the mouths of Cyanide to give us clarity. It is exciting stuff indeed with February 4th not too far off now and many wanting to have a solid World Of Darkness title to play on most of the major platforms out there. Planet Zoo The next update for Planet Zoo is coming and it will add in some new aquatic animals into the mix for Planet Zoo Planet Zoo has another update and DLC coming this December 8th with this one bringing us more of the aquatic wildlife we might have been missing before. Animals like the King Penguin, Grey Seals, and Giant Otters will be among the creatures that we will soon get to play with in this next expansion. This also means that Frontier Developments will be packing in some new scenery pieces for Planet Zoo to go along with these new animals. Here is our review of Observer: System Redux Talk about a title that needed to be brought forward into the next generation of systems and hardware and now we have it with Observer: System Redux. This would be that interesting horror title from Bloober Team that also happens to be set in a cyberpunk universe and uses the voice and likeness of the late Rutger Hauer. Medium A new character for The Medium is shown off here while we get a look outside of the Niwa Hotel for the first time in The Medium So far in The Medium we have seen the dual-world gameplay play out in a rundown hotel or the alternate world version of that location. Until now, it was thought that was going to be the only main location that Bloober Team was going to have for us in this game. Now, we have a new trailer for The Medium that not only shows us a place outside of all of that but some new threats in the world that we will have to navigate and survive out there. BloodRayne BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and the BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut is out there for us to relive the franchise yet again Today is the day for all of the PC gamers out there with the launch of the BloodRayne: Terminal Cut games here. This would be the upgraded version of both the main titles here from Terminal Reality to give us all a taste for the games yet again. Both of these are remasters and not remakes before you expect a whole new look here for the games, but it is something here. All of which shows BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut as the one that looks a bit closer to a modern title but still rather impressive to see for some titles that are fairly old and a staple in the subculture here. This was the PS5 and Xbox Series X launch week, which also did bring us a whole lot of video games too. Blood Bowl New is out there that Blood Bowl 3 will have a closed beta for fans to experience with various ways to access Blood Bowl 3’s beta too Earlier in the year, we had the announcement for Blood Bowl 3 to head out there to keep the insanity flowing. Specifically, when that will be is still up in the air as Cyanide Studios is still working on the game to bring it to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC platforms. Thankfully, it looks like we might be able to get a taste for Blood Bowl 3 before it officially launches as they are planning a closed beta for fans of the IP to take part in and maybe help shape near the end. Deathloop The release date for Deathloop is now set and we also have a nice look at the versions and pre-order items for Deathloop before May If you had Deathloop on your PS5 and PC launch list, then you will be excited to know just when you will be able to play that game. As long as there are no unforeseen delays that is. It looks as if Arkane is ready to spill the beans on that and we will be able to play Deathloop on May 21st of 2021.
