by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of May 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with wrapping one more week in the world of video games with all kinds of cool things announced and shown off. Obviously, the biggest being the actual gameplay for Borderlands 3 and a nice, new look at The Sinking City during this week to get us all just a bit more excited for the game. Mix that all in with looks at video games the likes of Life Is Strange 2 and A Plague Tale, we had one more solid week for it all. I will not shake a dead skunk at it at all and just sit pretty knowing what we had. Read More...

The Brujah Are In Full Force For Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of May 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Bloodlines 2 The first full clan for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is announced as the Brujah with other interesting facts about Bloodlines 2 in tow Just as promised, we have a new clan announcement for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 here to go over. Not the biggest of surprises, it is the Brujah that Hardsuit Labs opted to go with as one of the launch clans to start out. More so when you look at them as one of the more "generic" of vampire clans for new and old players of the franchise to be able to get into. That is not to say that there are no finer details and nuances that the clan does not have, but it makes sense for Bloodlines 2 given the game history. Read More...

Borderlands 3 Finally Shows Off Some Sweet, Sweet Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of May 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Borderlands The big gameplay reveal for Borderlands 3 has come and now we get to see just how Borderlands 3 could play with new updates and changes to the formula We finally have it. Some actual gameplay for Borderlands 3 and not all of the normal teasing that goes into the announcement and follow up videos we normally get with games like this. Gearbox could have gone that way, but instead hyped up and then delivered a whole lot of new gameplay for the game to show off the new look, characters, classes, and other features that will certainly get all of the Borderlands fans riled up. At least the ones that happened to miss out on the large event that took place earlier. Read More...

Blacksad: Under The Skin Is Putting You On The Case To Get You Killed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Blacksad A story trailer for Blacksad: Under The Skin is here to give a taste of the game and why you should get the Blacksad: Under The Skin Collector’s Edition Some of the other well-known narrative-adventure games may have been put to rest not too long ago, but it looks like that has now opened a door for things like Blacksad: Under The Skin. Ever heard of it? Maybe or maybe not, but now you are as this is the next title coming out there in the genre from Pendulo Studios placing us in a noir-style story as a detective cat-person. Review — Tritton Kunai Pro Headset
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Headset We sit down and review the Tritton Kunai Pro Headset. How does the 3D Audio work for our games? Will this be your next gaming headset? We all know that when we are gaming audio can play a big factor and having the correct system or headset can change the experience. Immersion is always a factor to be sought after as it increases the enjoyment of the game. Another thing sought after is the ability to pass the information along to the player through audio cues so they may be able to use more than just sight to understand what is going on. To that extent, it is also nice to be able to pass that information along verbally instead of going through a convoluted menu system. Read More...

The Thinbloods Are Coming To Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Bloodlines 2 The first “clan” we get to play in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is here as we will be starting as a Thinblood in Bloodlines 2 Here we go with the first clan introduction for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 and this one… is not truly a clan. Fans of the tabletop version of the game can see where I am going with this but for the rest out there, we are looking at the Thinbloods in the game. A more modern style vampire that is missing all of the fun and ancient parts of all of the other clans but still a vampire. It is something new to look at from Hardsuit Labs for Bloodlines 2 though, so we will at least take that. Read More...

Get To Know Your New Vault Hunters For Borderlands 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of April 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands A bit of new information for Borderlands 3’s vault hunters are detailed a bit more with some fun callbacks to other Borderlands titles We still have a bit of time before we get the reveal of the gameplay for Borderlands 3, but that does not mean we do not have much to go on or look at before then. Especially while everyone out there is scouring everything Gearbox has given us to have a better understanding of what to expect in the game. That is why I guess we have these new little blurbs and details for the vault hunters in Borderlands 3 that we will be able to play as. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/1/19 — 4/5/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of April 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just when you think that things may have slowed down for all of our video games, we are surprised and see a whole lot more out there. This seems like something we say almost every week, but it is worth it as there was a whole lot to unpack. More surprising is the fact that we did not have to wade through much for April Fool's Day even though the RAGE 2 DLC sounds like it. Thankfully, we had much more for Layers Of Fear 2, Man Of Medan, and World War Z to look at to keep us focused on real video games and nothing false floated out there. Read More...

Borderlands 3 Has A Confirmed Release Date & Fun Special Editions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Borderlands The release date for Borderlands 3 is now confirmed for this September and we have many ways to pre-order Borderlands 3 right now It looks like the early tweet "leak" for Borderlands 3’s release date was correct and we will be getting the game on September 13th. Why this was not announced last week when the game was announced at PAX East makes no sense to me but I am sure that 2K or Gearbox had their reasons. Maybe not. Now we can look to see Borderlands 3 on that date for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games launcher. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Borderlands 3 Is Officially A Thing With This Announcement
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of March 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Borderlands There were many Borderlands announcements out at PAX East with Borderlands 3 getting the official announcement treatment The rumors have been swirling for Borderlands 3 for a while now and out of PAX East this year, we have confirmation that it is indeed a game that is coming. It is not as if Gearbox would toy with everyone over this, get their hopes up, and then have them be crushed later on. It is not their way and even with the technical issues and teasing during the event, we finally have a solid look at Borderlands 3 with gameplay and the usual stuff that gets mixed into these games. That and the two villains that we will be facing off with as two villains seems to be the video game standard now. Read More...

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 Is No Longer A Hidden Secret
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of March 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Bloodlines 2 The announcement is here for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 with Bloodlines 2 aiming for a Q1 2020 release window Words cannot describe how excited I am as Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is now announced, but I will do my best here. Even though there is not much in the way of details for the game and an announcement trailer from Paradox Interactive to take in, we now know that all of the rumors from the past are now truths. All with Hardsuit Labs behind the screen developing the game and setting us up for a fun Q1 in 2020. Not only that, but it also looks like Bloodlines 2 will be hitting up the PS4 and Xbox One alongside a solid PC release. Read More...

Interpoint Is Announced To Twist Us Through More Horror-Filled Worlds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of March 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
A new psychological horror, Interpoint, is announced with mechanics and designs that make Interpoint look to pay homage to some of gaming’s greats There is another newcomer to the FPS psychological horror genre of video games, as we now have Interpoint to add into the mix. This new title comes from Three Dots and looks to give us some old sci-fi horror with a bit of the gameplay we have seen in some other great titles in the past. I am not talking about FPS titles in general but in the form of a special gun that can do quite a few different things and will be needed to complete the game. Interpoint will call it a Photon Gun while others can see how it links to, say, a portal gun. Read More...

Be Part Of The Music Revolution In No Straight Roads
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of January 2019 - 10:00 PM ]
No Straight Roads Have a deeper dive into No Straight Roads as it tries to redefine what a rhythm game can be and still get you excited for No Straight Roads If you have been interested in Rhythm games but could never get past the opening learning curve, you may want to get ready to join in as No Straight Roads is coming and looking to bridge that gap. I am not talking Rhythm games as you know them traditionally as that is not the path that Metronomik is going here, but a game that still uses the music but offers up gameplay that lends to an action game. No Straight Roads is an action game and not a note pusher is what I am getting at, but levels and actions will use the game's music to alter things up or drive extras on the screen. Read More...
