Ready For Wars?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of November 2008 - 05:53 PM ]
Halo Wars Game Footage So after seeing and hearing a bit about this at Comic Con 2008, I've been searching for anything more on this. Finally, there has been a video placed out with a little bit of everything in the game. A little FMV. A little Game Mechanics. A Little Game Play. And all of this makes it look a little interesting. For the most part it looks like a different version of StarCraft or WarCraft. With just a Halo skin slapped over it. Read More...

Choices we make in life effect our future and the outcomes of various events in life, and we deal with the rewards and consequences of those actions. And this is no different when you enter the world of Fable II, as every decision you make will shape how you are looked at and perceived, and even how the world shifts and shapes itself according to your decisions. Fable II begins with you living in the slums of Bowerstone with your sister Rose, homeless and hungry.  To feed yourself, you and your sister head towards the Town Market, and there is where Rose takes notice of a peddler selling ancient wares and decides she wants to buy the magic box for sale. Saw Game By Halloween 2009 So as most of you are aware of, there is a film series called Saw. They are up to number V (that's 5 in Roman Numerals) now. With more in the works. But that isn't the big news here seeing as this is a gaming site. So why am I wasting your time writing this. Well filler right now. But more importantly, and game related, the people who brought you the Saw films have released a Press Release stating that they will have a game out by the time the Sixth movie hits the big screen. All with the premise of bridging the first two films together a bit better. Read More...

[XBox 360 Review] Saints Row 2
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 18th of October 2008 - 02:40 AM ]
Two years after Saints Row brought the heat to the Xbox 360 with a story of gangs, betrayal and an unknown thug upstart ascending the criminal underworld, we finally receive the anticipated sequel.  The game picks up five years after the initial storyline ended with you being taken out in a boat explosion.  During the five years, a lot has occurred in the city of Stillwater, as the 3rd Street Saints have crumbled, Ultor Corporation has moved in, and other gangs have taken control over crime in the city. And so Saints Row 2 begins, and after a short cut scene of two prison guards discussing how you have awoken from your coma and approaching your hospital bed inside a prison, you go right into the character customization screen. So you're 360 is pretty cool right? Well it's about to a lot cooler on Nov 19 with the release of the highly anticipated NXE which is short for New XBOX Experience. If you live under a rock and haven't heard about it, it's a whole new dashboard replacement (just click the link and it'll take you to an example NXE) along with avatars, which Microsoft claims to have thought of before Nintendo's Mii's. Additional features include being able to load a game to a hard drive (you still need the disc in the drive to play but you can expect higher frame rates and quicker load times), the ability to win Microsoft Points by playing arcade style games, access to Netflix movies, and more. Fable 2 Collector's Edition Stripped Near Bare
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2008 - 09:24 PM ]
Looks like Lionhead Studios have dropped the ball once again.  As if possibly not having online co-op at release wasn't bad enough for those gamers waiting for Fable 2, those who preordered the Collector's Edition will be sorely disappointed in finding that it has been stripped nearly bare.  Gone are the Collector's Case, the Fate Cards, and no Hobble Figure.  Lionhead blames supply chain issues on this problem, and with only weeks left before the release, it causes on to wonder how this could have happened.  They have decided to drop the price to $69. [XBox 360 Review] Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2008 - 03:19 PM ]
I will be one of the first to admit that when I heard about Pirates vs. Ninja Dodge ball, I was genuinely intrigued and interested.  Unfortunately, the game is very quick to disappoint on any expectations you may have had.  Which is unfortunate, as this game could have been a very fun Xbox Live Arcade title. The game, as the title suggests, features Pirates and Ninjas playing dodge ball against each other, as well as Robots and Zombies. It has 3 different modes in Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Co-op, each of which has its own game types. Read More...

[XBox 360 Review] Tales Of Vesperia
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 28th of September 2008 - 01:27 AM ]
The latest installment of the popular Japanese RPG Tales series, Tales of Vesperia, has arrived on the Xbox 360.  The world of Terca Lumireis is one of which that depends on ancient technology known as Blastia.  Blastia is utilized to perform various tasks from helping to boost combat skills, using magic, dealing with daily activities and work, or even protecting towns from monsters.  The protagonist in Vesperia is a young man named Yuri, whom deviates from the J-RPG stereotype. He isn't whiny or immature, but instead has his own sense of justice and takes matters into his hands, but is very caring even though he tends to not let it show. Read More...
