Rock Band Going To Metal Metal Land
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
I knew it was going to be only a matter of time before the metal overlords known as GWAR made the move onto Rock Band. They hit up Guitar Hero already so why not move onto the Rock Band Network and spread their domination even further. Especially since Harmonix made it so much easier for bands to upload their songs to the network. Only a three week turn around most of the time, so they claim. There is no news on what songs or when the songs would most likely be seen, but from the interview performed at SXSW with lead singer/front man, Oderus Urungus, it looks to be in the works. Green Day Rock Band Release Dated
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 12th of March 2010 - 02:39 PM ]
Upon hearing the announcement of Green Day: Rock Band at the Video Game Awards, my face had a perplexed look that went deeper than when Jack Black pretended to freak out on stage at the beginning of the show. Completely unexpected, Harmonix chose Green Day as their follow-up band to give an exclusive title. So, the Beatles... then, Green Day. Read More...

Another South Park Song To Hit Rock Band
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of March 2010 - 01:41 AM ]
While it is not Shitty Shitty Fag Fag or Blame Canada or even Uncle Fucker, it is one of the most amazing remixes and product placements in South Park in almost forever. I'm talking a little ditty that was featured with "Rock Band" during the episode of Whale Whores. Yea, that's right. Joining Timmy and The Lords Of The Underworld, artist and song title, is Eric Cartman's perfect rendition of Poker Face. A song that when I hear it gets stuck in my head for days. The Cartman version at least. Read More...

Rock Band To Let You Play The Super Bowl Half Time Show
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of February 2010 - 03:41 PM ]
Well as long as you have a version of Rock Band that allows for DLC to be added onto your game. That and wait until after the game to buy the track from the Rock Band store. Like you would break anyways right. Between the Super Bowl it's self and the Super Bowl Commercials, when would you find the time anyways. Well that and if you are not too drunk buy then, but now I'm flowing off topic. Any Who, the fine minds over at Harmonix have gotten a hold of what The Who are going to be performing during the Half Time show. Read More...

Rock Band Network Up And Running
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of January 2010 - 02:17 PM ]
Just as promised, the Rock Band Network is up and running starting now. That's right, get ready for the flood of unknown musicians of every genre to start flowing on your XBox Live stores and shortly after on the PSN. Shortly meaning about a month later after getting the XBox exclusive treatment and testing out of the way. But that's neither here nor there for the actual news here. The big thing her is that now for the low cost of about $100 dollars, any musician can record and publish their own tracks to the Rock Band Store. Read More...

What I Want: Rock Band Franchise
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 14th of December 2009 - 12:47 AM ]
What I Want: From the Rock Band Franchise Recently I played Beatles: Rock Band and Lego Rock Band, and while one was looking back at a band's career and the other was geared to a younger crowd, they both did something that really caught my attention. They had a story, not just creating a band and playing songs at venues. You actually had a story to some gigs or had special concerts you held. I came to an instant revelation at this point. Microsoft announced yesterday that they have banned a very large number (rumored to be up to 1 million) Xbox Live player accounts for modding their Xbox systems and playing pirated games. With the current release of Modern Warfare 2, players are anxiously trying to get online and fragging their friends but it seems Microsoft has other plans.  Microsoft is citing it's terms of service agreement that players agree to when buying an xbox system:Download or use any material sent or provided by another user of the Service that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally shared or distributed in such manner (except as expressly permitted by us). What they could and would do were clearly laid out:Microsoft may, among other things: (a) restrict or limit access to the Service; (b) retrieve information from the original Xbox, Xbox 360 console, personal computer, and any connected peripheral device used to log onto the Service as necessary to operate and protect the security of the Service, and to enforce this contract.
