Star Trek The Star Trek universe is getting a little dark, with the announcement of the horror title Star Trek: Shadow Frontier It is time to mark down a title I never thought we would see in the IP, but here we go with Star Trek: Shadow Frontier. Not that I thought this was based on anything before now, but more that we are getting a true horror title in the universe and from Bloober Team, along with Paramount Games. An IP that's always been known to stay closer to the positive and happier side of exploration is now heading into something that seems truly dark out there. SAW A new title in the SAW IP is on the way to us, with the announcement of SAW: Genesis taking us into The Great War Even though the film side of things seems to be in a weird limbo, the video game side of things got a little bit of a surprise with SAW: Genesis getting announced. A new and interesting entry into the IP with Anshar Studios and Bloober Team coming together to bring it all to the PC. Not the exact set of teams I was expecting, yet still the teams that I have a feeling have a good chance of doing it correctly. Bloodlines 2 The next DLC for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is on the way, and we will have just a bit more to experience in Bloodlines 2 The night seems to be coming to an end with what was promised for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, as the next announced DLC is about to land. That would be The Flower & The Flame DLC that The Chinese Room announced way back when they took over the project. Backrooms Another adventure into the Backrooms is here, as we have the console launch of Escape The Backrooms kicking off today Just in time for the upcoming film release in the IP, we have the console release for Escape The Backrooms hitting us all. As in, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers can no-clip into the liminal space out there to see what the PC gamers have had for a while now. Not to mention, another solid push for those who played the game so long ago to give it a go and see the new stuff that Fancy Games and Secret Mode might have slipped in there. Fan Fest Nights We were brought out to Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026. Here is our experience of everything Fan Fest Nights offered up It looks like it is going to truly be an annual thing, with Universal Fan Fest Nights coming and going for 2026. This would be the latest limited-time event that Universal Studios has been putting on that falls in line with its Horror Night in style, but brings us more of the family or general fun for those who do not like to get scared. IPs like Scooby Doo, Dungeons & Dragons, and One Piece, among the many that were out there this year. Dreadmoor The open playtest for Dreadmoor is finally here, and we only have a short window to play the latest version of Dreadmoor After sitting and waiting as long as we have, we can all give Dreadmoor a bit of a play out there on the PC starting today. Not that the game has fully launched out there, it seems that Dream Dock still has more to do for this game, but the open playtest has begun, so we can have a sample of what the game will hold. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We are back, and we were able to get so many fun video games and non-video games covered this week. Even if some of the non-games were the new Resident Evil movie and the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie, which look to be what fans have been waiting for. Dawnwalker The story for The Blood Of Dawnwalker is out there, and we get to see a bit more of what made the Dawnwalker the way they are Step further into the world of The Blood Of Dawnwalker, as we have a little more to the story going on out there. At least a bit more than the usual vampires take over a town, and we need to stop it. That would not make for a truly engaging story from what Rebel Wolves has been crafting so far. A new story for the game that The Chinese Room has been aiming to tell, and one that will not leave us all in limbo as we have had over the many years of development. Zoochosis A new animal is out there in Zoochosis, with the camel adding in more for us to fear as we work the darkness in Zoochosis The number of animals we need to take care of in Zoochosis just keeps on expanding, as now we have a camel to add into the mix of things. By take care of, I mean it in both ways that Clapperheads has been pushing at us since the game first hit the PC, then the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Yes, that is a little dark, but that is the kind of game that Zoochosis, as these fun animals do turn into nightmare creatures if things get all wonky out there. Bloodmoored Psychological horror has another title to add to the mix, Bloodmoored, as we get the fun announcement and see the darkness Bloodmoored will house Let's all get ready to take another dark stroll through another dark factory with the announcement for Bloodmoored. A new psychological horror title that Stormdrill is working on for the PC that seems like it will be taking us all to darker places. Not just in the world, but maybe in our minds, as we are haunted by the past of a family factory. Well, more than we have the first trailer for the film from A24 to look at, so we can see how close it is going to stick to the source material out there. Escape By Spoon A new escape simulation game, Escape By Spoon, is on the way to us all to test to see if we can Escape By Spoon Apparently, it's a big thing to have a game about digging a hole, and now we have another on the way with the announcement for Escape By Spoon. A new escape simulation game that Paiband Game Studio is building for us all, where the goal is in the title of the game. That wouldn't be all that fun to have alone, so there's yet another fun little twist to it all, and that comes down to the animation style that the game is going to embrace.
