Dreadmoor Sets Sail Out There With A New Demo For All

Dreadmoor

Hit the open waters with Dreadmoor, as the demo for the game is ready and we can see what Dreadmoor is all about

The horror of the cosmos is finally ready for us to go fishing with, as Dreadmoor has finally launched out there on PC in demo form. Okay, sure, this isn't the full launch we might have been waiting for from Dream Dock, but it is something to get excited about and put to a solid test. This title has quite a few of you already wishlisting it, and this is just a reminder that the demo is ready for you. It is also a good reminder for those who were just waiting to see what horrors came out during the recent Steam event, with Dreadmoor pulling up anchor and giving us all some frights. Let us give the demo a play, or if you need to see why you should, we can have a look at the latest video for the game to get all of our tackle boxes ready to ship out.

If you are just now learning about what Dreadmoor is, then let us dig a bit further into what you might be playing in this demo. It is a new fishing simulation game, with the twist that we are on the waters of a post-apocalyptic world filled with all manner of anomalies and creepy structures. We have our own boat to hit the waters with, which we are going to need to maintain and upgrade along the way to ensure that we can catch the best things out there. All while finding more of the mysteries around the waters of Dreadmoor to sell and maybe get back to a place where things are not as weird as they seem. There are a lot of Lovecraftian horrors in the mix, along with various other mutations that we are going to need to deal with in the wild too. Have a little look at some of the madness that will be in the game just below, or give the free demo a play to see if it is going to be something you will want to add to your gaming collection when it fully launches.

Dreadmoor — Demo Launched

Dreadmoor, the dark first-person fishing adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world from developer Dream Dock and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment with more than 400,000 wishlists, pulls into port for Steam Next Fest with a brand new demo available today.

Set sail for the Submerged Land, where the murky waters hide strange fish to catch, and even stranger people willing to buy them. Explore a post-apocalyptic world full of odd anomalies and abandoned structures. Embark on quests, find loot, obtain crafting materials, and try to catch the biggest fish the Submerged Land has seen…if these things can even be called fish…

Dreadmoor’s Steam Next Fest demo features its own questline, taking place on a remote settlement and the surrounding islands, which anglers can explore both by boat and on foot.

Fish unfamiliar waters, scavenge for useful materials, meet a local engineer, and upgrade your ship at the dry dock. Then explore the Submerged Lands to learn more about the world and face unsettling events after nightfall.

Are you going to be willing to play the demo for Dreadmoor, or will you be holding out until the final game launches in the wild? Will there be a way to escape the horrors that we will find ourselves surrounded by, or will it all be a "see how long we can live" ordeal? How long do you expect it to be until we get the full launch of the game, and is this going to be the gauge to see if the core title is ready for a quick release? Let us hear all of those thoughts in the comment section, and then discuss them as the development and demo carry us all onward. We are certainly interested in seeing where things go for Dreadmoor, and you can join us all on that journey out there. You just need to keep checking the website and following all of our social channels to see how that is all going. Not to mention all of the other fun that we are going to have out there in the world as we progress into the darkness.
