Rip One In Time For South Park: The Fractured But Whole
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
South Park A new behind the scenes video for South Park: The Fractured But Whole was revealed at SDCC during the big South Park anniversary panel and it has just that extra spice This was the year of the 20th season of South Park and as part of the big celebration of it all we had another great look at South Park: The Fractured But Whole out at SDCC. Not only did Ubisoft have a nice museum set up for The Coon and Friends again but this time they had a nice look at the dynamic duo working on the game in the background. That would be the creators of the franchise and the developers working together if you somehow didn't understand that. Read More...

It's Time To Take South Park: The Fractured But Whole Seriously
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
South Park In the wake of E3 we are still getting South Park: The Fractured But Whole details and this time it is just how the guys from South Park are taking the comedy a bit serious It sounds extremely weird and funny to hear that South Park: The Fractured But Whole is trying to take comedy seriously given the jokes about just that in the past. Of course we have to look past all of that as all of this comes from a recent interview about the game from some of the team out of Ubisoft. That and the fact that in terms of this South Park game this whole new revelation is in terms of the genre and not the specific jokes as the comedy genre in video games is on the light side. E3 2016 Impressions — South Park: The Fractured But Whole
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
South Park While at E3 I was able to see South Park: The Fractured But Whole in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on South Park: The Fractured But Whole This has been marked down as one of my most anticipated titles of E3 and I was able to go behind the curtain and see South Park: The Fractured But Whole as they wanted to show us. Of course this being Ubisoft there was all the glamour mixed around it all to make everything more impressive than their little black room for the last title in the franchise. It looks like they get that South Park is something that is going to help rake in plenty of money and they are taking care of it. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/9/16 — 5/13/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of May 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This was a slower week in video games but we made it through. Of course I chalk all of this up to it being Friday the 13th week as well as it being filled with a whole lot of game releases. But of course we also did get a lot of Mafia 3 news out there as well as some Hellblade and of course it wouldn't have been a solid week in video games without the Friday The 13: The Game updates. You know it had to have some solid stuff this week and of course it did. I have a feeling that next week may just about the same in the lighter side of news of video games. Read More...

Review — The Park
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of May 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Park We sit down and review The Park. This is another narrative driven experience with basis in Funcom's other great IPs. Here's our review of The Park While The Park released last October on the PC it has finally made the jump over the PS4 and Xbox One to make sure everyone could have the narrative experience that they put together. An experience that looks to stem off from some of the amazing darkness that Funcom has already placed in The Secret World. Now that it has hopped over to consoles we had a chance to give The Park a fun play through and see just how intense this horror experience is. Read More...

This would be the psychological horror title that Funcom put together last year during October on the PC. It looked dark and twisted and was received by various users in various ways. It was also planned to hit the PS4 and Xbox One at some point but up until now the console version of The Park has been more or less a fleeting thought. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2015 - 11:02 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There goes another week in video games in the bag. Or case if you will. Things were all over the place this week and there were so many 'leaks' out there in the world of video games. I'm looking in the direction of Street Fighter V here and a bit at Star Wars Battlefront. Although the beta is out for the latter here so it's not really leaked any more. The first still very much so. Read More...

New Characters & Locations For The Park To Haunt Your Mind
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
The Park New screenshots for The Park have been released and they show off a few new characters and environments that we will be exploring in The Park Well look there. We have some new screenshots for The Park and they really show off the horror aspect that Funcom is aiming for in this new PC title they have coming this October. Based on the descriptions given for each it looks like they are really trying to drive home that "parent's worst nightmare" aspect here in The Park. Based on the image of Lorraine here, that is the protagonist of The Park, it looks like she is in for one hell of a night as she goes into rooms like the one she is in with people hanging from meat hooks and most likely cryptic notes about where her kid is in The Park. This Week In Video Games 8/24/15 — 8/28/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video games in now in a wrap and we can all focus on bigger and better things. Like PAX Prime or actually playing some of those video games that we heard or know about now. Especially since next week is going to be a doozy with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Mad Max hitting on the same day. That is if you were able to get through Until Dawn and the latest for Tales From The Borderlands already. Sometimes things have to hit the back-burner and get played later instead of sooner. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Nintendo and Universal Parks are teaming up to bring us all the Nintendo experiences we want in the real world It looks like all of us who ever wanted to wander into any of Nintendo's properties are going to be able to do just that sometime in the near future. It was announced that Nintendo is now partnering up with Universal Parks to bring some of their huge IPs to said parks around the world to let us all experience what a day in the life of Mario Mario would be like. Okay, well maybe not that far but there are going to be attractions and experiences at Universal Parks that will be solely focused on some of Nintendo's major IPs. At this time it has not been specified with games, stories, or characters Nintendo and Universal will be bringing but we can know that they just are coming. Read More...

First Footage For Firefly Online Has Been Released
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Firefly Online finally has some gameplay footage for us to look at and judge if it will further the franchise that was killed off in its prime If you are a huge fan or Firefly then you may have already heard about Firefly Online. I've been keeping an eye on this PC, iOS and Android MMO since I first caught wind and up until now I've been a little under-impressed with what I've seen thus far. We've not had any good gameplay video and to my knowledge a rather low quality CGI trailer to try and explain what Firefly Online is all about and why the fans should be excited that it is coming. There's even a way to sign up for the Beta for the game that really doesn't give us a thing. Read More...
