This Week In Video Games 2/20/18 — 2/23/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 24th of February 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Sometimes you have to love short weeks as they give you more time to play our video games, but sometimes they seem to be filled with less news and true updates for our games. This was one of those weeks, but we did get to press right on with it. Not only did it give us a chance to review Past Cure for everyone, it also brought us some new updates for Biomutant, Far Cry 5, and a few other video games. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Has Now Moved On To An Early Access Phase
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of February 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Hunt Hunt: Showdown has now moved on to Early Access on Steam as the closed alpha for Hunt: Showdown has been shut down just recently In the past few weeks lucky gamers out there had a chance to check out Hunt: Showdown as the team launched a closed alpha to get feedback, test servers, and make sure everything was running as smooth as could be at this stage in development. I know I was one of those lucky few out there and I had a blast playing what Crytek had for us at that stage and could not wait to get more. Sadly, as of February 22nd the closed alpha test for Hunt: Showdown was shut down. Read More...

New Gameplay For Hunt: Showdown Straight From The Closed Alpha
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of February 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Hunt The closed alpha for Hunt: Showdown is on and now we are getting a whole lot more to see for Hunt: Showdown in its raw form As of yesterday (1/31/18) the closed alpha test for Hunt: Showdown was in full swing. Random participants who signed up for a chance have started to be selected by Crytek to join in the fun and, of course, select content creators have also been given access. While the primary goal of this is to help shape Hunt: Showdown into the game that we all want, it is also to help promote the game and get more gamers excited to join in all of the fun. That makes it sound like the team has not already done a great job doing that, but that is not the case at all. Read More...

Monster Hunter We have another location to look at for Monster Hunter: World, as we get ready for the short wait until this addition to the Monster Hunter franchise drops The beta for Monster Hunter: World is over and we will see it land on the PS4 and Xbox One here on January 26th, but that does not mean we are done getting small looks at the game and its world. I say this as Capcom has brought yet another area of the game's world to us with the Rotten Vale. An area that looks to house some of the viler and putrid monsters out there for Monster Hunter: World. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with the first week of video games in the bag and we hit the ground running pretty hard. It may not have been filled with the biggest of titles or the most news, but we did have a whole lot of new content to go through and look into. We even had a few titles listed here that will be releasing in the coming weeks that some may have only heard of for the first time here. Not to mention all of the Monster Hunter: World and God Of War information we had dropped on us out of nowhere. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown's Progression System Has Been Given More Detail
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of December 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Hunt The progression system for Hunt: Showdown has been detailed out more and the permadeath system of Hunt: Showdown will not be as bad as it could be Another live stream for Hunt: Showdown has gone down and this one was one of the big ones as it delved deeper into the metagame of it all and tackled the player and hunter progression in the game. This also includes a bit more on the semi-permadeath part that Crytek has floated out there since the project shifted into what we have now. They explained a while back that our player level would be something along the lines of a Bloodline in Hunt: Showdown and this is how we could pass specific things along in the game; all while out hunters have their own levels and can be put down completely if you play them in a not-so-smart manner. This Week In Video Games 11/20/17 — 11/24/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 25th of November 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes yet another week in video games here. A bit of an off week, but still a pretty solid one if you were not mixed up in all of the US Thanksgiving stuff or the horrible holiday to consumerism. Although there was a lot to be had in terms of video games for all of that and with Shadow Of War and Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite already out there, you could have seen more reasons to pick them up for a lower price. Or just to finally sit back and give Hellblade or Street Fighter V some more time in between dinner plates. Read More...
