Review — Amnesia: Rebirth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of November 2020 - 10:00 PM ]
Amnesia We sit down and review Amnesia: Rebirth. Another dive into the horrors of the walking sim IP. Here is our review of Amnesia: Rebirth If you were looking for some more frights to have in general, then you might have had an eye on Amnesia: Rebirth and if you should add it to the smaller list of those titles around this time of year. Sure, this one from Frictional Games may have come out just a bit ago, but that does not mean that we cannot carry the horror on just a bit longer on the PS4 and PC. The PS5 is in that list if you want to play Amnesia: Rebirth through the backward compatibility functions too. Read More...

Amnesia: Rebirth Will Use Our Fear In So Many Different Ways
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of October 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Amnesia New gameplay for Amnesia: Rebirth is here to show off how the fear mechanics have evolved in Amnesia Only a few days before we can dive into the horrors that Amnesia: Rebirth has for us all. October 20th is coming and Frictional Games is shaping things up to keep as much hidden from us so we can go in blind, but that does not mean we do not have new gameplay to experience. Granted, all of this is by design for Amnesia: Rebirth here as they are trying to keep things secret for us on our first play. My guess is that it is to keep us all afraid just as much as the character we will be playing as. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Amnesia A new story trailer for Amnesia: Rebirth is here to tell us more and give us a bit more of the world of Amnesia to frighten us We had a nice new look at Amnesia: Rebirth last week with some gameplay and now we are back with a bit more on the story we are going to get to experience here. Something we have been able to guess at for a while now with the bits we have had and the WWII setting we have seen from Frictional Games thus far. Given that we only have a few more weeks until Amnesia: Rebirth hits us on October 20th, I know I will take everything that I can for the game. It is shaping up to look like a solid new entry into the horror genre here and just in time for the holiday we can celebrate here. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of December 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
SOMA The release for SOMA is here for the Xbox One and with it comes a new mode for SOMA called Safe Mode For some of you out there, the wait is finally over and you can play SOMA now as it is here for the Xbox One now. Only a bit of time after it hit the PS4 and PC, but sometimes that is how games go and thankfully Frictional Games did not want to leave anyone out there in the cold. Sure, you could have given SOMA a try on any of the other platforms out there, but now it is here to cover all of the spread san the Nintendo side of things. Maybe that will come but most likely not. Review — SOMA
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of October 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
SOMA We Sit Down And Review SOMA. Is It Worth Your Time? Is it the horror title that will bring the genre back to fun? Here's Our Review Of Soma As we move into the month of horror there has been one title I have been excited to dive into and it is SOMA. It looks like the best melding of Dead Space and BioShock by Frictional Games with a bit of higher thinking and philosophy mixed in. I won't delve into that too much as it is one of the pivotal aspects of SOMA and I'll keep this as spoiler free as possible but it did capture my eye. Now that September 22nd has come and past I have been able to play SOMA on the PS4 and it is time for my formal review of the game and if it will do what the videos and promos have claimed thus far. Dive Deeper Into The Story Of SOMA With A Web Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
SOMA A new web series for SOMA has been released and it is aiming to bring us all deeper into the story behind SOMA with prequel events If you've had the pleasure to play, start to play, or finish SOMA then you know one of the greatest selling points of the game is the story here. It is thought provoking, dark, and just an interesting tale to wrap around the horror events of this PS4 and PC title. In fact for some SOMA has left players wanting more out of Frictional Games in the way of said story. I'm looking for more story and gameplay personally but it looks like all we are getting at this time is an expansion into SOMA with a live-action mini-series that will be available on the web. SOMA's Story To Ask Us All What It Is To Be Human
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
The story trailer for SOMA has been released and it gives a bit more insight into the philosophical questions that SOMA will be raising Up until now I have been trying to make heads and tails of what SOMA's overall story will be about. The game launches next week on September 22nd for the PC and PS4 so it seems like it would be high time for Frictional Games to delve into the weirdness that they are known to create. SOMA has definitely shown that freak flag since its very first teaser trailer and now the culmination is here. Along with that we also have some more insight into the story we will be experiencing here in SOMA via a nice new story trailer. Read More...

SOMA's Creatures Really Are The Fuel For Nightmares…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Have another look at SOMA's creatures and monsters that will be stalking the depths as we try not to lose our sanity with SOMA Get ready to live and breathe the horror that is SOMA as we have our first kind of look at the creatures that will be stalking us on September 22nd. We've seen a few before in other videos that Frictional Games has shown off but this one kind of takes the cake. At least in terms of setting the mood of SOMA and the horror it is trying to instill. If things pay off I can see SOMA replacing all that hype that Silent Hills had on the PS4 only this time on the PC as well. Read More...

Enter The Crushing Depths Of SOMA's Environments
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Another trailer for SOMA shows off more of the dark, deep seas that we will be fighting for our lives in when we play SOMA If there has been one upcoming title that has had me both intrigued and confused it has to be SOMA. Sometimes it looks like weird sci-fi horror title and then we get videos like we have below that make it look like some kind of dark deep sea adventure. At least across the board Frictional Games has kept the horror look no matter which vision of SOMA I am looking at. Thankfully all of that will be solved soon as SOMA is hitting the PC and PS4 here on September 22th. Read More...
