This Week In Video Games 1/16/17 — 1/20/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of January 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Put one more week in video games in the bag and then get ready for even more to come here in the next few weeks. Not only do we have some solid titles releasing like Resident Evil 7 and some new Early Access and betas with Conan Exiles and For Honor respectfully, but it looks like the ball has begun to roll on many other of those video games that we've been waiting to hear more about. Hells, we will also hopefully have a better view at Call Of Cthulhu and Werewolf: The Apocalypse during the big event from Focus Home at the start of February. It totally looks like things are trying to be made right in 2017 given how last year rolled out. Read More...

It's Almost Time To Dominate The Lands Of Conan Exiles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles The third developer diary for Conan Exiles has been released and this one focuses on the combat of Conan Exiles as well as how to summon those avatars In just under two weeks Conan Exiles will be moving into early access for those looking to give the game a go on their PC. It is still coming to the PS4 and Xbox One, but Funcom is only giving "the master race" the chance on January 31st for ease of getting some solid responses back to make the game better. That is what these things are supposed to be for and not just a demo of Conan Exiles to generate buzz before launch. That all said here, and back to the buzz, it looks like the third pillar of gameplay has just been shown off so we can all understand how to dominate the game in its many ways. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/9/17 — 1/13/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 14th of January 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site I don't think there is a gamer out there that can claim this wasn't a huge week for all things video games. There was something for everyone this week; even though some of the news was a sad note for a huge portion of gamers out there. With this I am talking about the cancellation of Scalebound, but at least we had all kinds of great news for the Nintendo Switch, For Honor, and Resident Evil 7 to name a few. We are getting into a lot of fun waters here and a lot of great titles are on their way so we know that things should be getting crazier here. Read More...

Home Is Where You Keep The Hearts Of Your Enemies In Conan Exiles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles A new developer diary for Conan Exiles has been released to tease the upcoming Conan Exiles beta as well as how to build your cities We are quickly approaching that magical date when Conan Exiles will be opening up the beta for gamers to give its current state a solid play and server test. It's not been a huge secret that Funcom was aiming to give everyone a play on January 31st here; well at least everyone planning on playing with the Xbox One and PC as the PS4 still doesn't have a great solution for outside betas. But that is not why we are fully here for Conan Exiles again though. Read More...

Here Is Just How We Will Survive In Conan Exiles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of December 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles A new gameplay feature for Conan Exiles has released to show us just how to survive in the harsh world Conan Exiles is going to bring us soon Surviving is one of the cornerstones of Conan Exiles as we've heard from day one of the announcement. To not have it in there would be really weird given the Conan franchise and universe that has been built around all of this harsh stuff. Funcom has already done a great job with the universe in the past so it makes perfect sense that they would keep it going and now we get to see just how. All in a nice new video that has been placed out there to show us just how we will survive in Conan Exiles. Read More...

Conan Exiles Is Opening The Early Flood Gates Here Real Soon
by Duke Searles [ Tuesday, 22nd of November 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles The dates for Conan Exiles' early access have been set as well as a new trailer showing off what we can expect Conan Exiles to bring us at the same time We've seen some great stuff for Conan Exiles in the recent weeks and the game looks to be shaping up nicely here. It is looking like this could be the game that carries to franchise on and forward in the coming years and I am excited to be able to give the game a spin in the future. How far in the future is up to Funcom and thankfully it looks like those of us looking to try out Conan Exiles on the PC and Xbox One will be seeing that future soon. Like January 31st soon for those PC gamers out there and then "shortly after" for those looking to dive in on the Xbox One. Read More...

Get Ready To Be Able To Share Your Conan Exiles Immersion To The World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of November 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles It's been announced that Conan Exiles will be coming to us in many different languages and Conan Exiles will allow for amazing 360 screenshots Hopefully in the mix of all of the other huge titles coming out here you haven't forgotten about Conan Exiles and that we will be looking forward to having access to this game early next year. It's hard to believe that but I am still going to get amped about it as the last Conan title that Funcom put out was fun as hell and it looks like this one will be about on the same level. Granted, it is still a bit early to put stamps of approval on Conan Exiles as we are only looking at an Early Access to come here in January of 2017. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles It has been announced that Conan Exiles will be heading into early access in September and we have new Conan Exiles gameplay to look at in celebration It's been a while since we heard anything on Conan Exiles and now we have news on when we will get to play the game. It's not a solid release date for the game but there is news out of Funcom that the game is going to be hitting Early Access for the PC version of the game. That is not to say that Conan Exiles isn't still coming for the PS4 and Xbox One but given the state of things in video games it makes sense here and now we can get ready to give the game an early play on September 13th. At least if the PC version is your chosen platform to give the game a whirl. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Conan Exiles A new developer diary for Conan Exiles has been released and the team goes over some of the core mechanics of Conan Exiles and offer a new look Not that long ago now we had our first look at Conan Exiles as it has been in the works and under wraps for a while now. I am surprised that Funcom was able to keep the buzz and rumors down as long as they did. Now that things are in full swing for Conan Exiles though it is time to sit back and dive into what the developers are going to let us know about the game before it finally hits the Xbox One, PC, and PS4. So much to know and only a medium amount of time to show off everything for Conan Exiles. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video games did start out on a somber note but then things escalated quickly. I'm talking about the delay announcement at the start of the week and then a whole slew of new games like Conan Exiles and Song Of The Deep getting full announcements. We even were able to put a nail in the announcement of TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan and sit back and wait for that to come out now. All kinds of great news in video games and we haven't even made it into the bulk of PAX South that is going on right now. Read More...

Age of Conan Offline Leveling?
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 3rd of May 2010 - 09:12 PM ]
Funcom's Age of Conan released its latest patch last Tuesday and 1.07.2 brought with it a new "offline leveling" system.  Details could be found out on the official community forum here.Oliver 'Tarib' Kunz explains that every active account you have will currently be given 4 free levels to distribute as the player sees fit.  These points can be given to any active toon you have, but the catch is they have to at least be level 30 to enjoy the benefit of "offline leveling".Additional "offline levels" are gained every 4 days (that's 4 days real time) whether you're logged into your account or not; you only need to have an active subscription to reap these rewards. End Of An Age
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of January 2009 - 11:12 PM ]
Funcom to close over half of Conan servers Do you remember how about 10 months ago there was this game that was all the hype. I think it was called Age of Conan. Yea that's the one. The game that was plagued with a lot of build up and no pay off. Buggy as hell and pretty much done in a way that an MMO should not have been placed out there. Can you sense the upset from me? Well if you do, and if you are one of the few players that are still into the game, then it may sadden you to know that they are closing down 31 of their servers that gamers where once playing on. Age of Conan rise to number 1 on the charts
by Andy [ Monday, 2nd of June 2008 - 07:13 PM ]
Funcom is proud to announce that Age of Conan rises to number 1 on the PC charts, and the game even competes very well on the all-format lists. The normal edition is now sold out in many outlets due to the initial success of the game, and Funcom aims to resupply new boxes as fast as possible. With more than half a million customers, Age of Conan is already one of the biggest ever western MMO games, and this happens just a week after launch. In Germany, Age of Conan is #1 on all-format and PC, while the console-orientated UK market has Conan as #2 on the all-format charts, only beaten by the GTA 4 juggernaut. The game is the biggest launch for a PC title this year in the UK with a firm # 1 placement on the PC charts, and the game had the biggest ever MMO launch - outside of the World of Warcraft franchise.
