Hellblade Has Not Been Canceled But It's Progressing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Misconceptions of the design process that Hellblade is going through and Tweets from the developer has led many to think Hellblade has been canceled when it is in full swing Concerns about Hellblade being canceled have popped up due to a few of the most recent updates on the development process that Ninja Theory is currently at. To be specific they stated via Twitter that "A vertical slice is a testbed of ideas, not part of the final game. It has been retired and we have started #Hellblade production afresh. Read More...

Look Into The Face Of Madness With New Hellblade Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A bit of new gameplay for Hellblade has made its way online in the form of B-Roll footage but it does show off a few things for Hellblade Gamescom may be over now but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep looking for more news to come out and thus is the case for Hellblade. It looks like some of the B-Roll footage for the game that will be used for all of the "preferred media's" video spotlights for Hellblade has been "leaked" online and then officially posted by Ninja Theory to make sure we all saw this PS4 beauty showing off the elegance of madness. Remember this is what Hellblade is about to some degree as well as mixing in Celtic Mythologies and stories to give us more than a lecture on insanity. That being the other major theme for Hellblade if you know your game history here. Read More...

Dive Into The Madness Of Hellblade With Its New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
The first bit of gameplay for Hellblade has been released as well as a bit on Hellblade's story and how it will be looking at mental illness We've been waiting a while for Hellblade to have some gameplay to show off and now the wait is over. The first gameplay trailer is here just in time for E3 and to go along with it and its amazingness Ninja Theory is also giving a taste of what the game's story is going to be all about. I have yet to be let down by a single game that they have brought to market and given what is shown below and talked about Hellblade does not look like it is going to end that streak. I think it has to do with the team always seeming to try and have some thought provoking elements in their games, even if the original story is lifted from other sources, and Hellblade is looking to actually tackle one of my favorite issues with humanity: Mental Illness. Can You Believe Hellblade Has Only One Environment Artist?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary has been released for Hellblade and focuses on how there is only one environment artist creating the world of the game When Hellblade was announced for the PS4 back during E3 it looked like Ninja Theory had a huge undertaking they were working toward. The world of Hellblade looked insanely rich to the point that it looked as if all of their other titles could have fit into the game's world here. That is why it is a bit hard to believe their latest developer diary which shows that the world of Hellblade is being built by one artist with a lot of input all around. Yes, you read that, there is only one environmental artist working on this title. Read More...

Razor Is Proving The Power In The Size Of A Dime With The Blade Pro
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of June 2013 - 10:35 PM ]
I remember my first laptop computer as if it were only a few years ago. It was probably about three inches think, felt like 20 lbs in heft, and could barely keep up with even most of the 'eMachines' currently on the market. That was a gaming laptop from 2004 mind you, but it was top of the line and one of the most powerful out there at the time. Now, almost a decade later we are getting a new gaming laptop that is not only about as powerful as a desktop, but just a bit thinner than a dime when shut and lighter than the smallest weights in my gym. If you haven't already skipped to the video below, what we have here is Razor's new Blade and Blade Pro systems currently available for pre-order. Read More...

Review: Muramasa: The Demon Blade
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 14th of September 2009 - 12:56 PM ]
It had been months since I last turned my Wii on, but that all changed with a single release for the system. Muramasa: The Demon Blade has arrived from Ignition Entertainment and I couldn’t have a better reason to utilize my Wii. Muramasa is the latest 2D Action RPG title developed by Vanilla Ware, the team behind Odin Sphere on the Playstation 2. The game revolves around two main characters, both set out on their own unique journeys. Momohime is a young princess who has had her soul forced out and body possessed by the demon Jinkuro. Beautiful Blur Of Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of March 2009 - 06:07 PM ]
Screens From Xbox's Ninja Blade Who doesn't like Ninjas? Besides maybe Pirates, or Robots, or Zombies. Okay, well there is a small list there that might not like them. But you know what they can't not like about Ninjas, these new screens for the game Ninja Blade. Ok, well maybe they can because they don't have a new game coming out. But now I'm just rambling on. In any instance, the below images do a great job of showing off the style and look of the new game due out in a about a month or so. Read More...

X-Blades Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 4th of September 2008 - 09:38 PM ]
South Peak Interactive was on hand promoting the upcoming hack & slash game, entitled X-Blades.  It’s developed by Gaijin Entertainment & TopWare Interactive, and features a scantily clad main character, named Ayumi.  The basic premise of the game is a button masher with an attractive female protagonist.  I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, so I will share my impressions of the game with you.   It was a very easy game to pick up and just jumping in and having fun killing the monsters. Mount Up!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of August 2008 - 01:43 AM ]
Mount & Blade Beta More of a blurb more than news I guess, but I figured I'd let you fans of trying out Betas know about this. Basically, if you like medieval type games, here is the link for Mount & Blade. Oh, and for a bit more, below be ye olde website blurb about the game. "Calradia is a land at war, a land offering great riches and even greater dangers to the adventurers and mercenaries that flock to shed blood on its soil. With unerring courage and a strong sword, an unknown stranger can make a name as a warrior. Lead a band of hardened soldiers, become the lord of several towns and castles, and perhaps one day you may wield the power to overthrow kings and crown new ones at your discretion. Read More...
