E3 Impressions: Battlefield Bad Company 2
by Ben Brody [ Sunday, 7th of June 2009 - 06:29 PM ]
The boys from Bad Company are back and are in even more trouble as they face off in the cold Russian winter. While the focus of the Battlefield Bad Company series is certainly on the singleplayer campaign mode, the E3 demonstration was of a gold rush-style multiplayer map.Gold rush is essentially the same as it is from the first game, a team of attackers vs a team of defenders fighting over crates gold. While it is no longer called "gold rush" (the crates no longer contain gold) the objective is the same, secure and plant explosives on 8 crates (4 series of 2) or vice versa for the defenders. The multiplayer classes have been trimmed from 5 classes to 4 (support is no longer in the game), and while I prefer more classes (my favorite game in the series, Battlefield 2, has 7 playable classes with the option to play as the commander), I understand that it makes the game more accessible to gamers new to the series. We Need Some Support Up Here Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of May 2009 - 04:22 PM ]
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Trailer and Screen Shots When the first game came out, EA was totally trying to show their lighter side with some pretty funny clips and shots from the game. Something that most of us got use to seeing and having a good laugh at to get us excited about the game. For some reason that is unknown to me, it would seem they are going a different route with this one. At least from the start. I'm expecting to see some things like that in the future, but for now, we get some serious stuff. Read More...

Hell, It is about time!
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 8th of May 2009 - 07:29 AM ]
Am I reading this right? Beta testing for Starcraft 2? I say, “Hell, It’s about time!”. You know what that means right? That means I (if I even get the beta key) get to test out a game that I have waited over 10 years for. Blizzard president Mike Morhaime confirmed today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) by saying “This summer we will be opening up external beta testing, and while we haven’t announced a release date yet, this phase will also signal the final stretch [of development on the game]” I bet you are wondering how you can sign up for the beta. Well fear not lurkers, it’s really simple. Go to Battle. Read More...

Report is in sir!
by Binh Nguyen [ Sunday, 19th of April 2009 - 06:43 PM ]
For all you StarCraft junkies out there, Blizzard has released a second "Battle Report" for your viewing pleasure. In the video you will see Matt Cooper and David Kim facing off as Matt is using the Zerg race and David is using the Terrans race. The video really display the strength and weakness on both races which at one point I thought Matt Cooper was really going to dominate over David Kim, but David really came back and won  the match with updating his techs and forces to turn the tide on Matt Cooper. The new units and upgrades that blizzard released was shown here and to be honest with  you it really tickled me in a way that i cannot wait to try out those new units and abilities.I for one is really itching for this game to come out (when ever that may be) for the PC. Good Looking Splat!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of February 2009 - 11:49 PM ]
New Splatterhouse Trailer A new trailer for the game Splatterhouse has been unleashed upon the world from Game Trailers today, showcasing a bit more about this game that has kind of been underground for a while now. For quite some time there has yet to be any really new substance. But the below video clip shows that this game is still trudging along rather well. It has even got me to look a little further into it because of the play style looks to have. It looks a lot like a God of War type game, with demons. Read More...

[PC Review] Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of December 2008 - 04:06 AM ]
Episodes 1-4 So I want to preface this review with a little something. I am a casual Strong Bad fan. By that I mean that I watch the flash videos every now and then and am not so entrenched into the whole Strong Bad world or Strongbaddia world if you will. I thought this important so the hard core fans don’t say I am leaning one way or the other. With that said, here we go. For the most part this game plays through, via “episodes,” much like the clips of flash video. Read More...

Ikki Tousen EF Coming to Japanese PSPs This Fall
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 06:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. The Pwned.com Pokemon League
by [ Monday, 7th of April 2008 - 08:12 AM ]
As some of you may know Calamity, Clov3r, Riotmonster, and I are running something called The Pwned.com Pokemon League. And this Narticle is being written to reach the masses, and call all pokemon trainers to participate in our League. Allow me to tell you a little about this: What It Is: Pokemon, as I am sure you all know, is a game where you raise monsters to battle them against other trainers. To Participate in the tournament, you will need a Nintendo DS lite, a wireless internet connection, and either Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl. Starting on June 14th, we pair trainers up to battle (via drawing names from a hat randomly) and over the next several days or what could even be weeks, we do a bracket-style Battle Royale similar to the March Madness brackets for basketball: the winner from one match goes on to battle the winner from another and so on and so forth.
