DOOM: The Dark Ages Blasts It Way Out There Into Our Eye Holes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
DOOM The launch for DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally here and we get more of that DOOM fun to experience as we gear up for the final launch run The launch for DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally here, for some, with others needing to wait just a little longer to play the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Those who have to wait are those who have not thrown all-in with id Software for the game before, with the options that gave Early Access to the game. The full launch is still for May 15th, but at this point, is that much of a wait that we are going to have to go through to get more DOOM in our world? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Mafia See more of the gameplay for Mafia: The Old Country as well as how this title is truly taking things back to the Mafia roots Since we had the announcement for Mafia: The Old Country, we have all been waiting to see just what the gameplay was going to offer up and how things might be changing for the game out there. Hangar 13 is back at it with 2K pushing things along, so we know it has the basics intact at the very least. Now, as we get closer to the August 8th release date for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, we get to see just how Mafia: The Old Country is going to handle. Read More...

The Doctor Is In To Care For Us All In The Mix Of Directive 8020
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of May 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 The next member of the crew is here for Directive 8020 and this time it is the doctor of the ship who will keep us alive in Directive 8020 Here we go with more of the crew on display for Directive 8020, and this time we are getting the ship's doctor in the mix. Every good ship needs to have one of those, and Supermassive Games is making sure that this title leans into that trope when it comes to the Sci-Fi horror. That might also mean that this could be the character that we can lose right from the start of Directive 8020 to make sure it is easier for each of the next members to die too. We will not know for sure until October 2nd when the game hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but for now, we can have a look at Dr. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Grand Theft Auto A new look at Grand Theft Auto VI is here to show off the leads as well as give us the new release date for Grand Theft Auto VI There was a bit of that bad news for Grand Theft Auto VI not too long ago with the game getting saddled with a release date of May 26th, 2026. Still over a year from now, and to the dismay of many gamers out there looking to experience it all on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is some of the bad news, but thankfully, Rockstar Games is here to take some of that sting away with a whole new look at the game for us all. Along with a fun little intro to the characters, we are going to get to experience with Grand Theft Auto VI when it does launch. Read More...

Final Fall Drives Us All Mad With A Bit More Of The Graphic Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Final Fall New gameplay for Final Fall is out there as Final Fall aims to further tell a tale of schizophrenia in the world When we bring up that a video game is touching on some kind of madness, usually that has to deal with something Lovecraftian, but for Final Fall that is not the case. It is going to be dealing with some of that, but more in the actual mental health aspect of things if it is all done well on the PC. Given that we are heading into the month of that kind of awareness out there, it feels about right to jump into some gameplay for Final Fall and see how it is all going down. Although, as a bit of a heads up, this is going to be a title and gameplay that dives into some dark and triggering imagery. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of May 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands Head deep into the Borderlands again just before we get to the new release date on the way for Borderlands 4 that is set Talk about coming in with some big explosions and things to show off for Borderlands 4, as that is what happened during the most recent State of Play event. Not only did we get a whole lot of gameplay from Gearbox to dive into, but it looks as if 2K is out here offering up something else for the game. Like the fact that they are able to get it all to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC a little earlier than expected. Not in the way of Early Access or anything, but the release date for Borderlands 4 is now a bit earlier than expected. Read More...

Nolan Stafford Will Not Let The Human Race End In Directive 8020
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Meet the next crew member for Directive 8020 and learn a bit more of the stakes at hand in the mix of Directive 8020 The commander is on deck for Directive 8020, as we meet the next member of the crew that we will be taking the dark journey with out there. All part of the on-going series of videos that Supermassive Games is pumping out there so we can understand the characters in the game and hope for them not to be the one that meets a grizzly end out there. If we like the characters, it makes it much harder of a hit when or if they do fall prey to some horror out there. Which is something that Directive 8020 is going to want to capitalize on when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 2nd this year. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/21/25 — 4/25/25
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2025 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We can finally put a pin in this week for video games and everything else we had going on during the week. Mostly it was video games, but there was the "fun" of trying to get hotels for SDCC in the mix too. That is a whole different story that will be in the works in the future and not the biggest highlight for the week here. Those highlights would go to video games like DOOM: The Dark Ages, Star Wars Zero Company, and RoboCop: Rogue City to name a few. Read More...

The Weapons Are All Loaded Up For Us All In The Upcoming Painkiller
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Painkiller Get armed up with the weapons of Painkiller as we see them all on display while we still wait for the launch of Painkiller With a name like Painkiller, one would expect there to be all kinds of fun weapons and ammo to cause some extra pain out there in the world. That would be my easy assumption for it all and it looks as if Anshar Studios and 3D Realms have seen it the same way. They see it the same way that they are dropping a look at the various weapons we will use in Painkiller to unleash all the hell out there and try to make it back out of purgatory too. As long as we are able to use them all to the best of their abilities. Read More...

DOOM: The Dark Ages Welcome Us All Further Into The Cosmic Realm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
DOOM More of that sweet DOOM gameplay is out there as we see a new realm we will get to explore in DOOM: The Dark Ages The thoughts that DOOM: The Dark Ages was going to start to dip into the Lovecraftian horrors out there seem like they have merit now. That is, id Software is finally here to show off a new realm that we have yet to see in any game and it will be touching a bit more on that cosmic horror that the other genre is known for. Here we go with the DOOM Slayer entering into the Cosmic Realm when the game launches on May 15th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not the crossover I thought we were going to get here, but one that looks like it will add a whole lot more to the game than just some newly skinned demons out there. Read More...

Outlast The trials are picking back up in the world of Outlast as the next season of content is here for The Outlast Trials The doors have been opened up and the next wave of trials are finally here for those brave enough to go back into The Outlast Trials. Take A Seat And See What Is Coming Out At Us With The Announcement For SCP: Control Error
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of April 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
SCP The SCP universe is further expanding by the fans with the announcement that we have here for the upcoming SCP: Control Error Those looking for more of a player-driven title out there, then you might want to drop SCP: Control Error on the radar of titles coming to the PC out there. This is the latest that Chieftain Artworks and Goonswarm Games are working on to give us yet another experience in the world out there. It is a weird one, to say the least, but given that it is not held by a single developer and publisher, it is one that can always be evolving. Unless this one does not build into the growing universe that SCP has out there already. Read More...

Once Upon A Puppet Has Lifted The Curtain & Putting On The Show
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Once Upon A Puppet The launch of Once Upon A Puppet is finally here and we have one more push to get us all into Once Upon A Puppet We are finally at the day where the story begins and we can start to make our way right through Once Upon A Puppet. Not that we are not going to have the full story by the end of it all with Flatter Than Earth and Daedalic giving us the full game today (April 23rd, 2025). We are getting just that, but it does sound like there is much more to the story than we have been led to believe for Once Upon A Puppet. That is always a good thing to hear when loading up a PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC title. Read More...

Laura Eisele Will Not Allow For The Crew To Have Human Error In Directive 8020
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 It is time to start meeting the crew for Directive 8020 as we get a few more looks into the horrors Directive 8020 will throw at us It feels like we have so much time from now until we will get to see what is going on in Directive 8020, with October 2nd still so far away, but that does not mean we cannot all enjoy more for the game. Like, in this instance, getting to know the characters we are going to help guide through the horrors that Supermassive Games will be placing us all in. Directive 8020 is a character-driven game, so all of this makes sense to me. Read More...
