by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 7th of March 2026 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The ride of the week is done, and we have so many video games out there to play and enjoy. Not just games, but a few other tidbits of fun out there in the pop culture sphere. Even if most of you have been here to see the updates for Directive 8020 and Invincible VS, more than the things outside of that scope. Maybe it was also the DLC update for Atomic Heart or the cast updates for 007 First Light as well. Read More...

Directive 8020 Offers Up A Full Look At The Crew We Will Get To Know
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2026 - 08:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 A new developer diary for Directive 8020 is here, and it highlights more of the crew that we will get to play in Directive 8020 We have met some of the cast before now when it comes to Directive 8020, but only a select few. Not just a select few, but it was more of a broad stroke when it came to getting to know them. It looks as if Supermassive Games is ready to go one step further and give us a full dive into what it took to bring the characters to life, and a feel for all of the crew we are going to be playing with. Not to mention, it looks like the narrative structure in Directive 8020 might have a few extra twists and turns than we have experienced in any of the past titles in The Dark Pictures. Read More...

Well, more of the vehicles and special weapons that Saber Interactive has placed out there in the world for us to use. Some of them are on the basic side, while others are on the side of completely turning how the fight is going. Read More...

Atomic Heart Is Getting Us All Ready For The Release Of Blood On Crystal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of March 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Atomic Heart The release date for the final Atomic Heart DLC is set, and we can all get ready to head back into the weird world that Atomic Heart has brought The high-stakes conclusion to the story of Atomic Heart is almost here, as we can all mark down the release date for the final DLC for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Even if it does look as if it will not be the end of it all, with Mundfish still bringing us the sequel to the game in the future. So, I am not sure how high-stakes all of this is going to be for Atomic Heart since we know the universe is not going to end here. Read More...

Invincible VS Is Facing Down A New Army Of One On The Roster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2026 - 08:00 PM ]
Invincible Another classic Invincible character has joined the fight just ahead of the launch of Invincible VS One of many fighters is finally here in Invincible VS, and this new one is offering up a whole army for us to use. Not to mention, it looks like Quarter Up and Skybound Games are bringing us all a classic character into the mix, with Dupli-Kate joining the roster of fighters in the game. Another one that seems like she would not be able to hold her own in the mix of a fight, but when you have so many of yourselves to sacrifice, does it even matter? That is how our favorite duplication character from the Invincible story sees it, and how she will bring the pain in the game on April 30th when it lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Directive 8020 Offers A Better Look At The Character Played By Lashana Lynch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of March 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Meet the pilot we will follow in Directive 8020 with a new look at the character and interview with the performer bringing them to life in Directive 8020 It feels like with each new video we get for Directive 8020, we get to know more about the characters and the world. Even before Supermassive Games had to delay the release of it until May 12th. Given that it might have been a while since we first met Brianna Young, the pilot of the spaceship we will be surviving in, it might be time to get to know the character again. Who better to give us all of that information than the person who is bringing the character to life in Directive 8020? Read More...

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Shows Off How We Will Defend Ourselves
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 27th of February 2026 - 10:00 PM ]
Toxic Commando The final class for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is out there, and we get to see the defender of the Toxic Commando team Here we go with the final character class in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and this one is all about defense. This is The Defender class, so that makes sense. They're not only about defense, though, as it does look as if Saber Interactive has tossed in a few ways to make the defense a good offense, along with keeping the rest of the Toxic Commando team alive a bit longer. As long as that is your goal when the game hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 12th out there. Read More...

The Occultist Shows Us All How The Godstone Will Be Its Own Character
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of February 2026 - 08:00 PM ]
Occultist Learn a bit more about The Occultist and the location that will be its own character as we explore with The Occultist It is not uncommon that stories aim to make the location we are experiencing as a character to itself, and that is what it looks like that will be happening in The Occultist when we get to experience it. This time, though, it looks like DALOAR is using the game's location as a way to draw us in and also give us more of the nightmares we can expect to experience in The Occultist. That is what the recent developer diary and gameplay for the game are telling us. Read More...

Powerplex Is Coming To Make Sure We Can’t Get Away With Anything In Invincible VS
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Invincible The next character for Invincible VS has been announced, and it looks like Powerplex is bringing the fight to Invincible again It looks like the previous invasion is over for Invincible VS, as we have the fourteenth character announced, and it is not another Viltrumite. Thank the gods that Quarter Up and Skybound Games are not just going to keep dropping those characters in the game, even if we still have some time until April 30th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We will put all of that aside, though, as we have Powerplex joining the roster of Invincible VS to antagonize our main hero even further. I am sure we will all be up to the task, as the gameplay shows, and now we can see how this fighter is going to try and hold their own in the area with all of these other godlike beings. Read More...

The Cinematic Fight Kicks Off In May With Mortal Kombat II Hitting Theaters
by Jana Lass [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2026 - 10:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat The next film in the new Mortal Kombat line is coming soon, with a new release date out there for Mortal Kombat II in theaters The fight is on this coming May, as we have a new date that we can expect Mortal Kombat II to hit theaters. Only a few months after it was supposed to, but I am sure there's a great reason to push the release out a bit further. Beyond being able to market things more and make sure that it is going to live up to everything that Mortal Kombat fans have been waiting for. Especially after the lukewarm reception to the previous addition to the film version of the IP. Read More...

Directive 8020 Filters Out More Of The Deluxe Edition Extras We Will Get
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Directive 8020 will be getting some gameplay filters to play with, along with a few more extras in the Deluxe Edition of Directive 8020 If you were looking for more reasons to pick up the Deluxe Edition of Directive 8020 when it lands on May 12th, then you are little more in luck. It seems as if Supermassive Games is still slow-rolling out all of those updates to us, and now we have some extra gameplay filters we will be able to experience the whole game with. I am never quite sure why these are big things for gamers, but if you need to see the full experience of Directive 8020 in a classic VHS mode while running the game on your PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, then there will be an option for just that. by Jana Lass [ Friday, 20th of February 2026 - 10:00 PM ]
Toxic Commando Two of the character classes in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando are on display to flesh out some of the Toxic Commandos We have been teased with four different character classes in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and we're here to show off two of them before the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming March 12th. Two that it seems that Saber Interactive is going to be having us place a whole lot of faith into the Medic and Operator in the mix. The Dark Pictures Are Seeping Even Further Into The Horror Of Directive 8020
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 New pre-order bonuses for Directive 8020 are out there, along with an official release date for Directive 8020 It looks like we have a lot more fun for Directive 8020 on the way to us all if we are opting to pre-order the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Well, fun might not be the best word to use there, unless you are huge on modding your character's fits and looks long the way. It seems that Supermassive Games has some new things in the mix that link us right back into The Dark Pictures if we so choose to throw down the money for Directive 8020 before May 12th. Oh yeah, that is now the official release date for the game, after all the delays and pushes we have had to endure up until now. Read More...
