Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been a week here with the year ending and then starting back up, so we have more video games to play out there. Granted, it was a little on the lighter side as many of the teams and studios were out there celebrating, but we did have quite a few things to bring up. By that, we are talking that Axyos Games is gearing up for a console release and has now given us a release date for the platforms. Those looking to have a dark horror experience early into 2026 can now look to Apartment No 129 to bring that on January 16th. Showing off some of the characters and the nightmares that they are going to have to deal with when Housemarque is able to drop the game on the PS5 on April 30th. As long as you are in the market for a bullet heel kind of game that the team has been able to show they can make. This time, with SAROS, offering up a darker story than many might have expected. The Relic The Relic is about to get unearthed, with The Relic: First Guardian getting its final release date set down While it may not be ready for the holiday season, it is time to mark down a new date for the upcoming action RPG The Relic: First Guardian. The next title in the growing list from Project Cloud Games and Perp Games is heading to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. One that hasn't received a whole lot of hype out there before now, but one that has a solid release date for us all to look forward to. Avatar The latest update for Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is out there just in time to celebrate the new Avatar film With the launch of the new film, it looks like the latest DLC for Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is ready for us all who have the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not only ready, but with Massive Entertainment bringing forth some new enemies and other things for us to experience out there in the world that Ubisoft helped them bring to life. Also, a bit fitting with the new film being Avatar: Fire And Ash, this one is the From The Ashes expansion that was paid for way back when the game originally dropped. Layers Of Fear The final version of Layers Of Fear is out there on the Switch for many more gamers to see the horrors of Layers Of Fear The holiday season can officially start now, as Layers Of Fear: Final Masterpiece Edition has landed on the Switch 2. A solid little collection of all of the titles and DLC that Bloober Team has out there for the IP, and a solid way to escape the horrors of the season with the horrors of the video game world. World War Z A new crossover for World War Z: Aftermath is on the way with The Walking Dead and World War Z joining forces It definitely feels as if it was a long-time coming, but we are finally getting that crossover from The Walking Dead and World War Z: Aftermath. It seems that the TV show just will never die at this point, and it is going to shamble on just a bit more with Saber Interactive bringing the IP into the long-running game. This feels like a crossover that should have happened a while ago, but fans still holding onto the World War Z game will be glad to see this DLC in January 2026, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. GRAFT A new RPG, GRAFT, is on the way to us all with GRAFT asking a deep, philosophical question to us all It's not every day that we get a level of body horror and a philosophical question in our video games, but here we go with GRAFT. A new horror title that also has some RPG elements in it, coming from Harebrained to help ask some questions while also grossing some of you out. The question being, "how much of you could you replace before you are no longer the person you say you are?" A Ship of Theseus question, but in terms of our physical bodies in the world that GRAFT has created. Read More...

Invincible Learn more about the new Invincible character, Elle Mental, as we dive deeper into the world of Invincible VS While Elle Mental was put on display when we had the release date for Invincible VS, that is still April 30th, 2026, we did not have much else go on for the character. She is a new one made just for the game with all of the input from Skybound Games to help shape her, but we learned nothing much beyond that. Maybe some moves and that she will bring more of the power of the elements to the matches, but nothing in terms of who she is within the Invincible universe. Given that the graphic novel's creators were all on board with the first appearance being on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this is going to be her big debut, so it is time to dive deep into the character and see a whole lot more gameplay to help shape her up. Divinity A new and ambitious title, Divinity, is on the way to us all with Divinity being helmed by a studio that has proven themselves recently There was certainly a title that was getting all of the hype built going into The Game Awards this year, and it turned out to be Divinity. That was what the weird statue in the desert was for, and all of the other cryptic things that the social team was slipping out there, all so we could see that Larian Studios was working on the title. That being the bigger news and thing to get hyped up around, but that doesn't make as huge a splash for the powers that be over the developer. Painkiller New DLC for Painkiller is out there and it is offering up a bit more of the Metal feel to everything in Painkiller As if Painkiller was not already heavy metal from the start, it looks like things are getting even heavier with the latest bit of DLC that is now out there for the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A new update from Anshar Studios and 3D Realms to pull us back into the game, while also offering up some major content for the game. More than just the cosmetics coming to the weapons and characters in Painkiller, but some new things to play with and modes to run through. Read More...
