Cordura See some new gameplay for Cordura out there, and see just how our Contractor team might confuse us all in Cordura It is time to get ready to clean up some otherworldly messes out there, with the new gameplay that we have for Cordura. The upcoming co-op horror title that Garage51 has in the works for the PS5 and PC, where we'll be heading into a Victorian mansion to retrieve some roses and clear out what we can before we're sealed inside. A rather basic-sounding loop, until you realize that Cordura will not only have a procedurally generated maze of hallways, but the things inside the building can mimic our co-op partners to make things even more terrifying. Final Fantasy The classic style of Final Fantasy is on the way back to us all with the announcement for Final Fantasy Resonance A fun little announcement came out of the recent Nintendo Direct, with the announcement for Final Fantasy Resonance. A new HD-2D turn-based game that Square Enix is working on in the famed IP. One that will not only give us all a new experience to play, but also bring many classic characters and elements from the history of Final Fantasy. This is something that I know I was expecting Saber Interactive to show off in the bigger reveals recently, but I am still glad we now get to know when it will hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Star Wars We are going to get to become a new legend in the Star Wars if we are able to speed our way to the end of Star Wars: Galactic Racer If you thought that Star Wars: Galactic Racer was just going to be all racing and no story, well, you're going to be shown why you are wrong about all of that. It does look as if Fuse Games and Secret Mode have opted to make sure this is not just a game about racing, but something that will add to the overall story and lore of the universe. Star Trek The Star Trek universe is getting a little dark, with the announcement of the horror title Star Trek: Shadow Frontier It is time to mark down a title I never thought we would see in the IP, but here we go with Star Trek: Shadow Frontier. Not that I thought this was based on anything before now, but more that we are getting a true horror title in the universe and from Bloober Team, along with Paramount Games. An IP that's always been known to stay closer to the positive and happier side of exploration is now heading into something that seems truly dark out there. Not that any of the episodes, films, or other forms that Star Trek has taken didn't introduce things that could be horrifying, I'm looking at you Borg, they generally tried to stay away from the true horrors of it all. Kingdom Hearts The world of Kingdom Hearts is coming into a real setting with the latest teaser that we have for Kingdom Hearts IV After four years of waiting, we finally have a new thing to be teased about when it comes to Kingdom Hearts IV. Star Wars The gameplay for Star Wars Zero Company takes center stage, as we finally get to see a bit of how Star Wars Zero Company will handle It looks as if every move we make in Star Wars Zero Company needs to count, as long as we want to master the gameplay that will be heading our way. That feels a bit like a given, but it's something that Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment are hammering home in the latest gameplay we have to look at. Since Star Wars Zero Company does land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this August 27th, I'd venture a guess it will be good to know what is on the way. SAW A new title in the SAW IP is on the way to us, with the announcement of SAW: Genesis taking us into The Great War Even though the film side of things seems to be in a weird limbo, the video game side of things got a little bit of a surprise with SAW: Genesis getting announced. A new and interesting entry into the IP with Anshar Studios and Bloober Team coming together to bring it all to the PC. Not the exact set of teams I was expecting, yet still the teams that I have a feeling have a good chance of doing it correctly. Final Fantasy The conclusion to the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga is almost here, with the official reveal and gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Revelation The teasing is finally over, and we now have the announcement for Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The third and final part of the remake run that Square Enix has been taking their time with. The one that will bring us so many things we've been waiting for in terms of characters, world building, and the story. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the Summer Game Fest continues on, along with the IGN Live event that will go down over the weekend. The next of the main game reveals for the IP with Infinity Ward behind the wheel of it all. One of the better versions of the IP, in my opinion, and it looks as if they are striving to keep that a constant out there. That would be The Flower & The Flame DLC that The Chinese Room announced way back when they took over the project. Fighting Souls More of the Fighting Souls are coming into the mix, with the Knights Of Doom coming for the release date of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls We've had a chance to test out Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and we are getting so much closer to the final release of the game. A date that we know now Arc System Works is gearing up for August 6th for the PS5 and PC. Just after that sweet spot of showing the game off at SDCC this year, while giving them plenty of time to make sure we know all of the fighters and teams that will be in the mix.
