Quake Live Not too much of an article, but more of a quick blurb on the new Beta that people can get involved in. It's a web-based game that was announced back in February of this year. The release on it is below so you can check that out. Oh, almost forgot, the best part about this sign up, it only requires one email address to sign up and not the 2 User names and a pre-order like other betas I have talked about. Metal Gear Monday Ok...so this is fucked up. First, I have to go out and search for a store that has the Metal Gear pre-order. An elusive thing, I just lucked out I have an awesome person on the inside at my local GameStop. She's awesome /much love. But in any instance, I get the hook up. Make my pre-order and get the DVD that has the activation key in it. So I'm a happy cat. Except for that it states that the key is invalid when I go to put it in. Read More...

Thanks to GamePolitics for this bit of news but I am looking forward for more news on this:   Looking very much like a massively multiplayer Grand Theft Auto clone, Vogster’s CrimeCraft has been slated for release in early 2009. While the official website offers little aside from a logo, some screenshots have been released. Also, there’s the CrimeCraft Wikipedia entry. With what will likely be thousands of players engaged in live, online GTA-like action, expect CrimeCraft to be controversial when it launches. Read More...

Real MGS4 Headset So much like the guys at Kotaku and a few other sites, I saw this and thought it was a really good joke someone on the net came up with. I mean look at it and you can totally see how it looks like a good Photoshop job. At least until it was featured in catalogues and has a real release date for the US and Europe. Pretty fucking cool looking thing. I've been looking to get a new headset and it looks like I can get a cool one if I manage to wait it out. Read More...

Rocking DLC Release For This Week Ok, so not too big of news, but here's some more stuff for download this week for Rock Band. This is mainly for the XBox, until the PSN is back up on Thursday. Then you get these and also the ones listed here and here. Wish there was more to talk about, but not much more than the releases of this. Well other than the little blurb and bustle going around about the insane price of the European price of the game. I fell bad for the PR guys at Harmonix just for the fact that they have to defend why they are saying that it is needed to be ass expensive. Read More...

Resistance FOM 2 Teaser So if you haven't seen or heard about Resistance, one of the best Launch titles for the PS3, you need to get out more. Or at least surf the net more. It is really worth it if you have not given it a good old college go. I won't say it is the Halo of the PS3, but Resistance is a great game. And well, here's the teaser for the sequel to the game. It's not game play footage or anything, it is mainly just a "Hey Look At Me" kind of thing. Read More...

Today my boyfriend bought me a gift, completely out of the blue. The Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition. This gift was right up my alley and it is awesome. This is the first time Guinness has devoted a book exclusively to games. Gamer’s Edition has chapters of the most amazing gaming feats, highest scores, best selling games, and small facts that you might not know. There is also a website where you can try to make the Guinness World Record book with your own game score (www.guinnessworldrecords. Read More...

Interesting Poll Results So I was trolling along the interwebs today. After reading more about the a$$ clowns that beat the girl over MySpace sh*t. I'm thinking about the world and where we are headed. Then I see the above poll results from WhatThePlay.com, then I realized that we truly are into the downward spiral. Look at the stats and then continue down with me to the next paragraph. Ok, so on the offence meter, the violent one is near the bottom of the list. Read More...

Eight teenagers have been arrested for brutally beating a fellow teen and putting the tape on Youtube. Victoria Lindsay was attacked on March 30 by six teenage girls when she arrived at a friend's home, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said. Two girls confronted Lindsay when she walked in, yelling and threatening her, an arrest report showed. Another girl struck her in the head several times and then slammed her head into the bedroom wall, knocking her unconscious. "That is animalistic behavior. Read More...

USA Today’s Marc Saltzman lays out the controversial aspects of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV.  GTA IV will be the subject of much scrutiny when it launches on April 29th. Saltzman writes: Not unlike previous GTA games, Grand Theft Auto IV will ruffle feathers among concerned parents, politicians and activists. You still can kill police, but it’s wiser to avoid these shootouts because if you’re arrested, you’ll lose all your money and weapons and fail the mission. Though they’ll try to jump out of the way, you also can drive into pedestrians. Read More...

Pokémon Trophy Telegram Yes, you are seeing what you are seeing above. It is a Pokémon trophies that you can send as a telegram. You know, for when you have to be a thunder stealer in the message sending area. Some may just prefer to send an e-mail or something in today's age, but wouldn't it be awesome to get one of those instead? Think about it. You know you would love it. Read More...

Wii Gets A New GameCube Controller Ok, I know my title was a little misleading, but it got you to look into the actual New bit. So Ha! It worked. :) The short and dirty of it is that Nintendo is releasing a GameCube Controller specifically for the Wii. It's not wireless or have motion controls. At least not from what I read. But it is the nice white color of the Wii and the controllers for it. Read More...
