This Week In Video Games 1/4/15 — 1/8/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 9th of January 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It doesn't look like we started the new year in video games out with as quite a bang as many were hoping. Rumors and delays were all over the place this week and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the year. Hells, even the announcement of the Oculus Rift's release date and price didn't go over all that well. Thankfully we had the "leaked" release date for Homefront and a good look at some stuff out of CES 2016; like Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood and a few other items yet to be talked about on the site. Oculus Rift The pre-orders for the Oculus Rift are up and running and it looks like we will be getting an Oculus Rift in home by the end of March or early April The wait is now over for the Oculus Rift…to some extent. Pre-orders are now live over on their site and we now have a price and an expected release window for this year. That would be sometime around the end of March or early April depending on who you hear from. As of this writing mine is stating that it will ship in April of 2016 but I have seen others claim sometime in March. Read More...

In The Void Of Adrift Only You Can Hear The Oxygen Leaving The Lungs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of October 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Adrift New gameplay for Adrift has made its way online and it shows off a bit of gameplay and what it feels like in Adrift to run out of oxygen I believe this is the first time we have brought the first-person, interactive fiction game of Adrift up on the site before but that doesn't mean it hasn't been on our radar since it was first announced by Three One Zero. For those who don't know what Adrift is, outside of the genre description before, it is a story game that has us in space experiencing what it may be like for those who want to be up there. It is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC with VR support sometime next year thanks to 505 Games for publishing Adrift. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes; An Interesting Bomb Disposal Title Coming For The Project Morpheus Project Morpheus was on the show floor for the PlayStation Experience. It had a bunch of different tech demos and early games to help show off how cool the tech could be but one game that got a lot more buzz than anything was Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Given the demand of the Morpheus at the PSX the line was doubly huge for Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes but I had a chance to sit down and give this cool bomb disposal virtual reality title a few play throughs. Most were on beginner but I did get a chance to play the higher difficulty. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 3/24/14 — 3/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This felt like the most bi-polar week in gaming news in a long while. It all started out rather slow and then we were flooded with all kinds of new stuff to look forward to. The biggest bit of gaming news being with Batman: Arkham Knight's new character and gameplay mechanics; not to mention the huge purchase of Oculus by Facebook. Cyber stalking to a whole new level if things go as was speculated earlier this week. All kinds of crazy stuff here in the gaming world. Read More...

Looks Like We Will Be Able To Facebook Stalk With The Oculus Rift Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
Facebook is set to purchase Oculus for around two billion dollars. What does this exactly mean though? It was announced yesterday that Facebook has reached an agreement to purchase Oculus VR, the makers of the Oculus Rift headset, for about two billion dollars. Not all in cash mind you. Only $400 million of that will be in "cash" the rest of the $1.6 billion in Facebook stock. That is all upfront as well as $300 million more is offered if Oculus VR can hit certain milestones that are still yet to be defined at the writing of this article. Read More...

The Forest Looks Like An Awesome VR Version Of Don't Starve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer and screen shots for a PC/Oculus Rift title called The Forest have come from the mist. It really reminds me of Don't Starve… Sometimes it really bothers that I miss other amazing looking games like The Forest while covering other titles out there. I am sure it happens all the time as I am just one entity and there is so much going on the wide world of gaming. But I caught it and now it is time to bring you all what I have found and how exciting it looks. So, let us take a look at The Forest. Read More...

Spectre Looks Like Stay Alive But For Real
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of March 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
Here is some new footage of Spectre, a Kickstarter virtual reality horror multiplayer game using the Oculus Rift. Looks like it could be creepy… It's hard to believe that it has only been eight years since the film Stay Alive came out and there really hasn't been a video game made to try and copy it. Even as I write this article I have yet to hear of anything. That was until I heard about a new game called Spectre. Read More...
