Have you guys tried the demo to Asura's Wrath yet? If not, what are you waiting for? This new IP from Cyber Connect 2 and Capcom features some of the most epic fights I've seen in my life thus far. The demo only features two levels early on in the game, but holy crap they are intense. The first boss fight pits you against a gigantic stone god that resembles a bit like Buddha; words are exchanged and a flood of quick time and button mashing events ensue that are sure to get your heart rate skyrocketing. I get that by now it is hard to do an action game without getting the "It's Like [Insert Name]..." tagged to it, but Asura's Wrath seems to not care. Not care to the point where the basic story of the game is thus. Once a revered deity, Asura was betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. Consumed by anger at the injustice he has suffered and swearing vengeance, Asura discovers he can use this fury to his advantage and turn it against his enemies. When Activision first announced that High Moon Studios would be making a Transformers game, I was a bit skeptical. That is, until I saw the trailer and screen shots of the game. Granted it is not the Transformers we all, or at least most of us, know and love. And no, I do not mean the recent live-action Transformers movie. I am talking about the 80's cartoon series, including the full length movie where I first cried over the fact that Optimus Prime died in the epic battle with Megatron*. A Japanese man with an intent to use his friend's three and a half year old MMORPG character, is now being prosecuted for cyber-crimes in Japan for deleting said character. Both men are friends in real life and on the server, though I'd say now that they were friends at this point.  The guy who actually created the character was about to finally max out his character after the long three years plus journey, so when he found out all his hard work was deleted, he contacted the local police departments cyber crimes unit. When the friend was caught, the motive turned out to be simple jealousy than anything else, as he told police he just "Wanted his character." The perp is being charged with unauthorized access, but most likely should've been charged with criminal damage or theft. Read More...
