The first boss fight pits you against a gigantic stone god that resembles a bit like Buddha; words are exchanged and a flood of quick time and button mashing events ensue that are sure to get your heart rate skyrocketing. After falcon-punching this god's face a few dozen times, he apparently activates his beast mode and jumps up into the sky. Next we encounter this boss, he has grown - a lot. This time he is bigger than the planet. After he shares a few words about how badly Asura is about to get wrecked, he then pokes (Yes, straight up Facebook style) Asura with his gigantic finger. This action buries and almost kills Asura. I wont spoil the ending of the fight, but my god it was epic.
I personally cannot wait for this game. I was thoroughly impressed with the trailers, but after playing the demo, Capcom can just take my wallet.
The game play is like acting out an episode of an anime series. Incorporating various game play elements (such as quick time events, button mashing, beat em up and rail shooting), you are required to build up a meter which will allow you to activate your Burst Mode and thus gives you the ability to progress through the story.
Asura's Wrath comes out February 21, 2012 for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
A demo for Asura's Wrath is out now on XBLA and the PSN.
I hope you guys enjoy the demo as much as I did.
