Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The day for all of the horror video games to be played is here, Halloween, and it also happens to cap off the week for so many out there. Some of us actually get the day off to do all of that and try to lean into the hobbies more than work for the day. Hence why we had so much during the week and up until the end, when we are going to be digging further into all of those spooky things. Like the horrors of Beneath, or watching more for Resident Evil Requiem. Read More...

Directive 8020 A new look at Directive 8020 is out there to give us all a better look at the visuals Directive 8020 might have when it launches out there Well, it is Halloween, which means we are getting all of the spooky game updates today, and here we go with another that will not be launching until 2026 with Directive 8020. A title that we should have been able to play by now, originally, but Supermassive Games needed more time to perfect it for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not a terrible thing, and maybe it will give us all some fun extras in the mix to enjoy. Read More...

Resident Evil A new look at the Resident Evil history is out there to get us to the point where we can preorder Resident Evil Requiem The road to get to Resident Evil Requiem has been a wild one, and we are talking mostly in the path that the IP has taken to get here after thirty years. We still have months until the game hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, but Capcom wants to make sure that we all have a chance to go down the memory lane of it all. To see where the Resident Evil story all started and, maybe, guess where it is all going to end with the ninth core game in the story. That and to make sure we are ready for February 27th, 2026, when the game launches out there. Read More...

Cosmic Invasion Learn more about the upcoming Cosmic Invasion, as we dive behind the scenes for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion before it launches There is still over a month until Marvel Cosmic Invasion lands on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC, so we still have a whole lot of information to dig up for this beat-em-up game. Tribute Games has been known to make some good ones out there, and we will get to see if Dotemu made the correct choice on December 1st for all of this. At least, officially, we will get to see all of that when MARVEL Cosmic Invasion launches out there. Read More...

Backrooms Some new insanity is out there in the Backrooms, with new apartments opening up for us to explore in Backrooms Level X A new treat for all of us is out there, just in time for Halloween, with a new update for Backrooms Level X. A fairly large update at that, with some new areas for us to wander about and try to survive out there. Even if the Backrooms as a concept would be massive, it is always nice to get more when it comes to our video games, since they can't be as massive all the time. Moreso, when it is all done by a single developer out there. Read More...

Invincible Two more Invincible characters are joining the fight when Invincible VS releases to us all next year It looks as if the treats are coming early for this Halloween, as we have two more fighters coming to us for Invincible VS when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2026. Two more that are coming from the pages of the comics and the screen for the show, with Skybound Games making sure they are a perfect fit for it all. Those characters are Monster Girl and Robot, for those who might have missed all of the clues up until now. Some amazing characters we have seen grow in the Invincible universe, and now they will test their skills together and separate as the fight carries onward. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It was certainly a short week around here for the number of video games we were able to get to, but it was still a fun one. Even if we did have to leave some stuff on the floor, we still had news for Dispatch and Zoochosis to take in during the week. On top of that, we had some fun news for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, as it heads onto a new platform. It also would not be a solid Halloween if we were left without some kind of news for Paranormal Activity, which was nice to see some of that gameplay. Read More...

Total Chaos The darkness of Total Chaos is slightly ready for us all to experience with a new demo out there for Total Chaos It is time to get ready for Total Chaos, as we have a bunch of new gameplay footage to look at, and a new demo is out there on the PC for those who are looking for something else scary to add into the Halloween fun. Sadly, this update does not come with Apogee Entertainment giving us all a solid release date for the game, but we'll just need to be happy with what we are getting. Especially as we get to see this new demo and footage for Total Chaos, there will be spoiler parts later in the game, and not something that might hinder our excitement out of the gate for it all. Amanda The Adventurer The release date for Amanda The Adventurer 3 is set for us, and we will see the final chapter of Amanda The Adventurer in a few weeks Let us all get ready for the final run for Amanda The Adventurer with the release date now set down for the final chapter. It has been a ride from MANGLEDmaw Games up to now, and the creepy horror of this IP will be coming to an end on the PC this November 6th. No word on when this will all come to the consoles, as of yet, but that will be a choice that DreadXP will have to work out after the initial release for Amanda The Adventurer 3. Fingers are crossed that it will not be too far down the road, but for now, we will focus on what a good number of us will get to experience in a few weeks from this update. Read More...

Paranormal Activity The Paranormal Activity IP is coming back, with a first look at the gameplay for Paranormal Activity: Threshold after the long wait We have been coming up on two years since we first heard that Paranormal Activity was going to have a video game made about the IP. A title that was coming from DarkStone Digital and DreadXP in the universe, but that was about it. We did not even have confirmation on the platforms it was coming to, or even a specific name for the game, as of yet. That is all changing now, as we now have Paranormal Activity: Threshold on the way to the PC. Read More...

Cosmic Invasion The release date for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is set now, with the Cosmic Invasion starting this coming December The fires are starting up out there for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, as we not only have a new character to look at in the game, but we also have a release date for when Dotemu will make sure we all have access to it. So, to kick things off here, Tribute Games would like us all to know that MARVEL Cosmic Invasion will be hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC on December 1st of this year. Not as soon as we all were thinking around here, but still within that 2025 release window we have seen before. Read More...

Directive 8020 A new little slice of Directive 8020 gameplay is here, and we can get a better feel for the non-dialog gameplay for Directive 8020 Even though we are not getting Directive 8020 for Halloween as originally planned, it does look as if we are getting something to take in for the game during the season and to keep us all going until 2026 when it is slated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not that Supermassive Games wasn't already busy dropping out other titles for us during the season already, but that is a different topic. For now, we will have a look at the fun little tease that we have for Directive 8020, with some exclusive gameplay out there just in time to add some Sci-Fi horror into the season. Read More...

Bloodlines 2 The next playable clan for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is stepping into the limelight, with the Toreador on display for Bloodlines 2 It looks as if The Chinese Room did opt to leave the brightest for the last when it came to the playable clans in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. Not that the Toreador are known for light powers, but they certainly do draw the eyes of mortals to them as a moth to flame. They are the clan of divas and the final of the playable clans that we will have to select for Phyre. Read More...

Amanda The Adventurer The Amanda The Adventurer fun continues, with the console release of Amanda The Adventurer 2 just ahead of the Halloween season It only took a year, and getting close to the launch of the final chapter of the series, but here we go with Amanda The Adventurer 2 coming to the consoles. Just in time for Halloween, which does seem to be the MO for MANGLEDmaw Games and DreadXP when it comes to this IP. So, we might need to worry about that wait when it comes to the third entry into the IP. Read More...

Painkiller One more overview for Painkiller offers up a look at how we will kill our pain in Painkiller Things are popping off here for Painkiller, and we have one more push for the game for those who have been ignoring it all. Who does not want to have a good FPS title where our friends and we need to survive Purgatory? Also, where we will be using tarot cards to modify things in the game as Anshar Studios and 3D Realms tries to fire up this IP for another solid go. You know you want in on Painkiller, but if you needed one more thing, then we have a new overview of the game to look at just before October 21st comes, and we can just play the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
