This Week In Video Games 8/8/16 — 8/12/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of August 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Another solid week in video games in the bag and damn this one was filled with a lot of exciting things. We were able to get out our reviews for Adr1ft and Batman from Telltale and we also were able to see THQ come back into form in a small way. Also a whole lot of updates to other video games like Gears Of War 4 and Resident Evil 7 for us all to chew on. We are also so very close to another huge gaming convention here too that will most likely come with a whole lot of other news and tidbits all their own. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did It seemed like a weird time to bring out Batman: The Telltale Series given all of the other titles fighting for the limelight back when the game was first announced. But given that Telltale Games has had a pretty solid record on their storytelling titles to date I know myself and many other tried to ignore all of the other Batman going on to give this version of the franchise a fair shake. Well the first episode of the game has been released and we have been able to play it. Read More...

New Details For The Walking Dead Season Three & Screenshots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead A few new tidbits for The Walking Dead season three from Telltale have come out of SDCC as well as some new screenshots for The Walking Dead's third season It was stated that we would get some more on the third season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead during San Diego Comic Con and fans were not let down. At least not let down outside of the fact that we were still left with a whole lot to wonder on as we head toward the new season's release and just what has gone on in the game's world since then. Especially since most of it is all cannon for The Walking Dead franchise and not just some extra fluff. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery. This is the sixth episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The story continues for Minecraft: Story Mode as we have the first episode in the expanded adventure and the sixth episode in the epic tale of Jesse and his crew as they do what is apparently done in Mojang's world. If you are somehow still behind the times though this also expands on the story that Telltale Games has been building up for us over pretty much a year now. I'm still confused as to why they didn't go a solid second season and just have all of this is part of it but they didn't Now let us dig into this new episode of Minecraft: Story Mode before we get bogged down with even more of their great stories and such. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Batman A solid release date for Batman: The Telltale Series has been revealed and it looks like the first week of August is when Batman will be taking flight again Last week we were teased with when Batman: The Telltale Series would be coming to us in digital format but we were told that we would get to see a new trailer just in time for SDCC. As they are people of their words over at Telltale Games we now have a released date for the digital version of the game, August 2nd, and a trailer for the first episode of the game. Just the perfect time to bring us all Batman and now we know that we won't have to wait until we get home from the huge convention to give it a play. Read More...

The Seventh Episode Of Minecraft: Story Mode Is Coming Into Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode's seventh episode has been set and it looks like the world of Minecraft is getting the Tron and Borg treatment The seventh episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, or second in the adventure pass, has a release date set and it looks like it will be July 26th here. On this date we will get to see how much further down the rabbit hole Telltale Games is going to take us into their take on the famed Mojang IP that has a few hits and misses in my eyes. Especially the one where they didn't split this into a second season of Minecraft: Story Mode instead of just making it all an add-on. Read More...

Batman: The Telltale Series Has A Release Window Digitally & Date Physically
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of July 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Batman The release window for Batman: The Telltale Series digital has been revealed as well as when Batman will be getting a physical version from Warner Bros. As I assumed we would be seeing more of Batman: The Telltale Series as we got closer to SDCC and here we go. It isn't a trailer as Telltale Games has stated that they will be showing us that next week during the big event and when they do their play through of the first episode live. But for now it looks like we only have news that Batman is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices digitally sometime in August. I'm going to guess during the first week of August given their normal schedule. Read More...

The Walking Dead Season 3 Is Coming & Bringing A Familiar Face
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead's third season has been revealed and it looks like The Walking Dead is jumping forward in time but keeping fan favorites If you were able to pay full attention to everything out of E3 then this may be old news to you but for those who were overloaded with news, then you may have missed that The Walking Dead season three is slated to start up sometime this Fall. Not only that but we have a nice little trailer out of Telltale Games and a few little tidbits on the game directly. Given the success of The Walking Dead in general it shouldn't have been that big of a shocker to see the third season coming but in this season it looks like the surprises are more in the game than that it is coming. E3 2016 Impressions — Batman: The Telltale Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman While at E3 I was able to see Batman: The Telltale Series in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Batman: The Telltale Series. A few reveals for Batman have already popped up here at E3 this year but of course that isn’t where the reveals were going to end. In fact in the middle of Wayne Manor here on the floor Telltale Games had a secret access to the Bat Cave and allowed some of us to see the first 30 minutes of the first episode of their take on the Batman franchise. That sounds like quite a bit to take in but thankfully it was just enough to keep the hype ball rolling as we wait for the episode to finally land sometime this Summer for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s what is new to the whole gameplay set up that we already know and love from the developer. Read More...

Minecraft: Story Mode 6th Episode Dated & A Murder Mystery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode sixth episode has been set and it seems like the Minecraft community is being drug into the game's murder mystery The first of the three add-on episodes for Minecraft: Story Mode has now been dated and it looks like June 7th is going to be the date that we all get to continue the story. I am still not completely sure why Telltale Games broke up the story and continuations as they did but it has been done and the spiritual second season, in my opinion, has begun. Get ready to dive deeper into Mojang's world as Minecraft: Story Mode episode six hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile platforms. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of May 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We sit down and review The Walking Dead: Michonne — What We Deserve. This is the final episode of Telltale's take on one of The Walking Dead's fan favorite characters. Here's our review on how they did Here we go as The Walking Dead: Michonne has come to an end and the story arc of one of the fan favorite characters has been fleshed out even more. Telltale Games set out to tell us a great story and fill in a rather sizable gap in the character's story from the comic books. It was over a year gap for the comic book readers and much longer for all of those in The Walking Dead universe. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Order Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Minecraft We Sit Down And Review Minecraft: Story Mode — Order Up. This Is The Fifth Episode Of Telltale's Take On Mojang's Famed Franchise. Here's Our Review On How They Did Normally this would be the final end-cap on the season for Minecraft: Story Mode but as it turns out we still have three more episodes to go before season one officially ends. Yes, Telltale Games is taking this whole story into an eight part thing instead of the traditional five. I guess there is a lot to tell for Mojang's title that has never had a story before. The Walking Dead Season 3 Is Looking To Bring More Of The Comic In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of April 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead As The Walking Dead: Michonne wraps up it looks like new tidbits of The Walking Dead's third season are coming out and we may be seeing more of the comic in the game As The Walking Dead: Michonne has just come to a close and we settle in to either play it all or take in everything that happened it looks like those kinds of plans are nowhere on Telltale Games' mind. We all know that we are getting a third season to the game that kicked it all off but now we are getting a few more things to chew on for it. At least as Robert Kirkman states in the most recent interview about the addition to the Michonne story of The Walking Dead's comic series but he also had some extra words on things for the next major season we will be getting. The Walking Dead: Michonne Comes To Its Conclusion Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of April 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The final episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne has been given a release date as well as some new screenshots and how we all played The Walking Dead: Michonne's last episode All good things must come to an end at some point and The Walking Dead: Michonne is one of those mini-series that is doing just that. There was nothing hidden on Telltale Games' side of things as they made sure we all knew this story arc was only three episodes long and now that third episode is hitting us all on April 26th. That would be next Tuesday from the posting of all of this so hopefully you are all caught up on everything The Walking Dead when it comes to the comics and the game thus far. Read More...
