Enslaved Went West To Gamescom And Showed The Goods
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of August 2010 - 08:56 PM ]
Up until now, I have been only mildly interested in Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. It has an okay concept, but the screens, clips and hands-on I have seen or had up until now have done nothing to overly impress me. Please notice how I said "up until now." If you look back, you'll see it in the sentence prior. We were given a really great look at where the game has progressed to so far and it feels and looks like a whole new game to me. I know it isn't literally, but like I said, what I saw before didn't "Wow" me. Read More...

Enslaved - Terminator Without The Time Travel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of June 2010 - 01:30 PM ]
Here we go with another "E3 video" brought to the public a week early. I swear there will be nothing new for us media and industry types to look at on the floor. Everything is getting out like Sony's 2009 E3 big announcements. You remember that? In any instance, here is a new look at Enslaved from Namco and Ninja Theory. A nice video letting us know what is going on and why in 150 years from now society is running around a post-apocalyptic world. Let me give you the run down. Read More...

Review: Mini Ninjas
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 12th of October 2009 - 12:39 PM ]
Let me start out by saying I really enjoyed this game. I was really excited about the game when I first heard about it but as time went on I became concerned it would be too childish. Yes it’s very cartoony and yes when you kill creatures they turn into fuzzy animals, but somewhere in the midst of all that I had a blast playing this game! The game-play is very simple and even the story line is not to complex, so it’s perfect for kids. With that in mind I was highly intrigued by this game. Read More...

You will be 'Enslaved'
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 30th of September 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
So back in August, Namco Bandai and Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory announced at Gamecom that they would be creating a partnership together. They also announced they would be developing a "blockbuster title with strong pan-Western sensibilities" for PS3 and XBox 360. Well now we have details on that very title. The title 'Enslaved' is loosley based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Players take on the role of Monkey and Trip and travel through post-apocalyptic America. Read More...

Turtle Power!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2009 - 07:33 PM ]
In an awesome move by Ubisoft and XBox Live, we can relive all our classic arcade days of 4-player fighting action with TMNT Turtles In Time. Available August 5th for $15, it will be an arcade lovers dream. The great part about this whole ordeal is not only is the game the same side scrolling, beat-em-up adventure you remember, but it comes with a nice set of new 3D graphics as well. Gameplay stays as true to the arcade as possible (throwing enemies into the screen) as well as new tricks like being able to face all four directions while fighting, rather then just left and right. Analog controls have not been implemented. Read More...

The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 4th of June 2009 - 06:31 AM ]
I consider myself a hardcore gamer, and as such I do my best to play a lot of different games. But no matter how satisfied I am with the titles that are released year in and year out, I can't help but wish for something else. Now don't get me wrong, just about anything I could ever want has been released at some point, and yet I still can't help but feel like if someone else had worked on the game it would have taken the game to a whole new level. That's what this is all about. The Ultimate Gaming Wish list is a look at what I would like to see on the horizon. Read More...

Mini Ninjas at E3
by Corey Dockendorf [ Saturday, 30th of May 2009 - 12:21 AM ]
To say that I am excited about Eidos' new game Mini Ninjas is an understatement. I think I'm going to get some smoke bombs and adorn my office in samurai swords and kendo armor. One of the games that Eidos' will be debuting as a playable version at E3 is this little gem. Mini Ninjas is the story of a tiny ninja, named Hiro, and his big adventure against an evil warlord, and his quest to save the animals that have been changed into evil samurai, bringing harmony back to the world. From the screen shots it looks like you will be able to navigate through three different characters as well as take control of different animals. There are a few trailers with some game play as well as story and characters on the website. Read More...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Unveiled
by Jesse [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2009 - 07:57 PM ]
Once again, Japan’s Famitsu magazine has released a bombshell with news of a Ninja Gaiden 2 port coming to the PlayStation 3. Yosuke Hayashi, the producer and director of the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be reprising his role in what is said to be not just a direct port, but an upgraded version of the original. Among some of the new additions to the game are a new weapon as well as all new battles against giant bosses. Perhaps the most interesting feature to be included in the game will be the ability to play as Ayane. Read More...

Beautiful Blur Of Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of March 2009 - 06:07 PM ]
Screens From Xbox's Ninja Blade Who doesn't like Ninjas? Besides maybe Pirates, or Robots, or Zombies. Okay, well there is a small list there that might not like them. But you know what they can't not like about Ninjas, these new screens for the game Ninja Blade. Ok, well maybe they can because they don't have a new game coming out. But now I'm just rambling on. In any instance, the below images do a great job of showing off the style and look of the new game due out in a about a month or so. Read More...

[XBox 360 Review] Pirates Vs Ninjas Dodgeball
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2008 - 03:19 PM ]
I will be one of the first to admit that when I heard about Pirates vs. Ninja Dodge ball, I was genuinely intrigued and interested.  Unfortunately, the game is very quick to disappoint on any expectations you may have had.  Which is unfortunate, as this game could have been a very fun Xbox Live Arcade title. The game, as the title suggests, features Pirates and Ninjas playing dodge ball against each other, as well as Robots and Zombies. It has 3 different modes in Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Co-op, each of which has its own game types. Read More...

Reality Video Game?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of July 2008 - 11:24 PM ]
American Ninja Warriors Sought While not exactly a bit of gaming news. But I thought it would be fun to bring it up for anyone on here that missed this. On top of that, when you look at Ninja Warrior, it is a weird kind of Real Life Video Game. I mean it is a mix of Assassin's Creed and Tenchu. And it is hosted by G4 so that could give another merit to gaming and pwnage Looks like G4 is looking to get three people to send off to compete on the Ninja Warrior challenge. If you haven't seen the show, it is where 100 people start out running an obstacle course that test the human body to no end. Everything from Parkour to swinging on chains to spider climbing up glass walls. Read More...

Kai Kicks Nariko Out…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 06:52 PM ]
Info about Heavenly Sword II We all knew it would happen, with Heavenly Sword being a huge game. Not to mention being featured on Heroes. Good news on this is that it has been written already and production is going. Another interesting thing that people didn't know is that they were asking us normal folk, from here on in Normies, our opinions. Before you ask "Where?", it was a focus group out of Chicago last night. Read More...
