Tell Fables For Fun And Prizes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 - 07:51 PM ]
Fable II Site Launches When the first game launched, they did something much the same, as is the case with any new game that launches. You want to get out the info as soon and as quick as possible. Makes sense. But this time around Lionshead and Microsoft have decided to make it even more worthwhile to go to the game's site. This time around when going through the story and cutouts, the choices you make can actually gain you in-game items. Pretty much however you decide to go through can get you different items for play within the game. Read More...

RUMOR MILL: Guess What Else Comes Out Nov 19th Along With NXE
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 13th of October 2008 - 05:32 AM ]
Oh c'mon why wouldn't they pull that. The Inquirer reports that on November 19th of this year, Sony's Playstation Home will be unleashed to the public, coincidentally on the same exact day that Microsoft drops it's New XBOX Experience for its XBOX 360 console. While Home is certainly more substansial (it's a whole virtual world where you can walk around, play games, watch movies, and more, semi-akin to second life), where as NXE is more of a looks-rather-than-content update, both are being heavily looked forward to. While people who live close to each other in real life probably won't substitute going to somebody's PS Home versus going to their real home, it does offer a great solution for people who live across the country. The world you ask? Read More...

TGS 08: XBOX 360 NXE to be released November 19
by Ben Brody [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 07:19 PM ]
So you're 360 is pretty cool right? Well it's about to a lot cooler on Nov 19 with the release of the highly anticipated NXE which is short for New XBOX Experience. If you live under a rock and haven't heard about it, it's a whole new dashboard replacement (just click the link and it'll take you to an example NXE) along with avatars, which Microsoft claims to have thought of before Nintendo's Mii's. Additional features include being able to load a game to a hard drive (you still need the disc in the drive to play but you can expect higher frame rates and quicker load times), the ability to win Microsoft Points by playing arcade style games, access to Netflix movies, and more. Be sure to check out all the other TGS 08 happenings! Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 25th of September 2008 - 03:10 PM ]
The Bungie countdown has ended, and with it releases a new teaser trailer.  Set in a futuristic city, you are looking through a camera at various areas when pods drop from the sky.  When the cameras are brought back online, you see destruction and damage everywhere. Cut to "Halo 3" and after which the camera itself is hit by a pod, and the video cuts to "Prepare To Drop". According to Xbox Live Marketplace description, this appears to be a new Halo 3 Campaign Experience.  Look for more info as it is released. Read More...

Will Japan get a Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII
by Nikole [ Wednesday, 6th of August 2008 - 01:15 AM ]
Three weeks ago during the Microsoft press conference at E3 the good people of Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be making it's way to the Xbox. This came as a huge surprise since it was previously thought to be a PS3 exclusive. The one condition of this deal, or so we all thought, was that an X360 version of FF would be exclusive to North America and possibly Europe. Well it seems there has been a change in plans. Recently at an exhibit in Taipei, Microsoft's Taiwan Entertainment head announced Final Fantasy XIII would go on sale on the Xbox 360 in Taiwan. Read More...

Netflix comes to the Xbox 360
by Andy [ Monday, 14th of July 2008 - 06:48 PM ]
Today at E3, Microsoft has finally announced the partnership with Netflix. You may ask what this means. Well what this means is that now you will be able to stream movies from Netflix right to your TV through the Xbox 360. Now the best part about this, is that it costs you nothing if you already have a Netflix account. Why this is great? This means no more DVDs in the mail, and that also means you dont have to return the DVDs just to get your new movies. Read More...

Sick Children Will Soon PWN More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2008 - 04:21 PM ]
360 Kiosks Coming to Children's Hospitals I'll be first to say I am not a huge fan of Microsoft, but there are some times when I have to swallow my pride I said Pride you pervs. :) and give them the kudos they deserve some times. This is yet another one of those times. Why? Because they are actually teaming up with Companions in Courage to hook up the cut for Children's hospitals. What is that slang I said? Microsoft is helping out by giving 360 kiosks to be placed into hospitals for children. Read More...

Microsoft working on controller to compete with Wii?
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 10th of April 2008 - 01:25 AM ]
Microsoft is working on a new motion-sensing controller similar to Nintendo's Wiimote controller for the Wii. "Wii Sports"; it's slightly more ambitious. "They want the usual assortment of 'Halo'/ 'Gears'/ 'Forza'/ whatever, just in waggle form," our source told us. Such idea-generation has not gone smoothly. "The whole thing is a colossal clusterf---," the source said. "[Microsoft] marketing just want it so they can match the Wii point for point. Read More...

First Jason And Now Freddy Slashing Away
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 09:14 PM ]
Rumor: Europe Might Be Getting A Xbox 360 Price Cut So yesterday I talked about how and why the PS3 might get a much needed price slash. Now it turns out that the Xbox 360 might be getting one as well. The big difference in these two stories is that this one seems more like a fact than a rumor, unlike the PS3 report. This should go into effect some time before the Easter sales period and it is reported to be a 50 EUR drop down on all systems. Making the ranges of the systems down to 150 EUR for the Arcade Version, 200 EUR for the Premium, and 240 EUR for the Elite version of the system. Read More...

New Halo Figures Out From McFarlane Toys They are action figures. In fact they are action figures of one of the most popular games on the Xbox system. McFarlane is also know for having some of the best figurines ever made. I know I have a slew of them in my pad just cause they are so frigging cool to look at. That being said, you can now pick up the set of figures and play out you Halo fantasies like Darth Helmet in Spaceballs. Here is a list of what is out now, there will be another set come June this year so if you don't see one you like here, just wait until then. Read More...
