Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Another solid week in video games in the bag and damn this one was filled with a lot of exciting things. We were able to get out our reviews for Adr1ft and Batman from Telltale and we also were able to see THQ come back into form in a small way. Also a whole lot of updates to other video games like Gears Of War 4 and Resident Evil 7 for us all to chew on. Mafia 3 Two new video s for Mafia 3 have been released with one showing off the 3rd lieutenant and the other Mafia 3's districts built in the city It looks like I may have spoken too soon on the lieutenant side of things yesterday for Mafia 3. Yes, we had a good behind the scenes look at Cassandra as Hangar 13 has crafted her but I know I was looking to find out about Vito Scaletta and his whole story. Or at least as much of the story for Mafia 3 as 2K Games is willing to give us all as we wait for the October 7th release date for the game. Mafia 3 A new behind the scenes video for Mafia 3 has been let loose and it gives us even more insight into Mafia 3's Cassandra; the Voodoo Queen I know I was looking forward to hearing more about the lieutenants of Mafia 3, specifically the third one, and it looks like we have more right here. Sadly, it isn't on the third lieutenant but a behind the scenes video from Hangar 13 on more of Cassandra's motives and wants in the game and overall story. I was pretty sure that we had a good taste from 2K Games so far on Cassandra out of Mafia 3 to keep us up to snuff until October 7th. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games That was another great and solid week in video games now wasn't it? We had a whole lot of great and not so great updates for many of the titles we are looking forward to. Yes we did have to see Outlast 2 get delayed and that we will have to pay for the extras on Final Fantasy XV but on the plus side we were able to see amazing things for Hellblade and No Man's Sky. Mafia 3 The next lieutenant of Mafia 3 has been given the trailer treatment and here we get to know Mafia 3's Thomas Burke, the anarchist of the bunch Last week we got to see the Voodoo Queen for Mafia 3 and now this week we get to see the Anarchist in action for the game. This would be the Irish fellow we've seen in the past videos that 2K Games has given us and the most chaotic addition for the bunch. If it hadn't been said already I'd almost be certain that the Mafia 3 scenes we saw at E3 from Hangar 13 would always play out the same way based on his persona. Mafia 3 A new video series for Mafia 3 has begun and each looks to let us get to know the lieutenants of Mafia 3 we will be working with and appeasing Way back in June we were properly introduced to the lieutenants that we will be in control of in Mafia 3 when it launches. We had a fun look at how Hangar 13 has set up a pretty dynamic way for them to be integrated into the game as well as a quick overview of their personalities. Of course that is going to play a big part in the overall scheme of Mafia 3 so it would be nice to get to know them a bit more. Mafia 3 The pre-order bonuses for Mafia 3 have finally been fully fleshed out this is just what we will be getting for Mafia 3 if we pre-order or by the CE Maybe you remember or maybe you don't but back when Mafia 3's collector's editions was announced we also caught word on the fact that there would be a pre-order bonus. At the time though 2K Games had yet to define out what would be coming in the "Family Kick-Back" DLC and Hangar 13 was just as quiet about that too. Mafia 3 While at E3 I was able to see Mafia 3 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Mafia 3 Here we go with one of the larger titles that 2K Games was pimping out at E3 and now we have a solid look at Mafia 3 in terms of world and gameplay. Gameplay that was shown off by none other than the devs over at Hangar 13 in the mix of a time jump back to the era that the game takes place in. Mafia 3 The Mafia 3 Collector’s Edition has been announced and also that Mafia 3 will be bringing back the Playboy collectibles in game Just like every other huge game out there it looks like Mafia 3 is also getting a Collector’s Edition and 2K Games was completely ready to bring us all of the details. Not only that but it looks like there is an extra bit that blends the physical and the digital that Hangar 13 has crafted for us in the way of Playboys. Mafia 3 Another Mafia 3 developer diary of sort has been released showing us just how Mafia 3's city has been brought to life We here it almost in every open world style of video game and it looks like Mafia 3 is joining the ranks of stating that the game's world is a living and breathing character of its own. It is not to shocking to me that Hangar 13 would make the same claims that we hear all the time as they have been working hard to make sure their version of New Orleans feels as authentic as it can for us. Mafia 3 More gameplay for Mafia 3 has popped up online and along with it comes some good explanation on how Mafia 3 is not an open world clone If what we've seen so far for Mafia 3 wasn't enough to get you interested in picking up the title then I don't know what is wrong with you. I'm sure Hangar 13 would feel about the same way given all of the insane advancements and changes to the franchise that look to make it truly new. Of course you have a lot of people out there stating that Mafia 3 is just another open world clone of games like GTA now but as some new gameplay and impressions would show those people may be just as wrong as the mafia was to kill Clay's crew. Mafia 3 A new trailer for Mafia 3 has been released and this one focuses more on the driving mechanics of Mafia 3 which the developer claim as more Hollywood Stunt Driver than anything If you were hoping that Mafia 3 was going to be deviating from its franchise's grounded history in driving then you might be a bit upset. For those like me then you may glad to see that Hangar 13 is deviating from the norm a little bit to give us a better cinematic feel when driving around New Bordeaux. At least this is what the most recent trailer and dev explanation for Mafia 3 is aiming at as we are getting what they claim is a Hollywood Stunt Driver feeling when it comes to this game now.
