All Of Those Just Cause 3 Destructibles Have Been Handled With Care
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Just Cause 3 has been released to show off how the team is getting all of those destructibles in Just Cause 3 just right We've all seen how destructible Just Cause 3's world and objects are going to be. We have and it is what we expect for the next gen title and the Just Cause franchise up to now. We know it and so does Avalanche Studios as they too have been taking great care to make everything in Just Cause 3 explode, decay, evaporate, or any other synonym for destroy, look just about right. Granted it isn't always going to be the most real world physics based kind of destructible but Just Cause 3 is a video game so it will make it look just right for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC universes that we will play in. Mad Max also gets the interactive trailer treatment to help show all of the different angles we can take when tackling missions in Mad Max Technically this new Mad Max trailer landed near the end of last week but it didn't get any traction, pun intended, until now as it seems like the week of interactive trailers based on how it has started. That is completely right if you guessed it. We have a new Mad Max interactive trailer to show off all of the madness that awaits us in the Wasteland when Avalanche Studios' new title on September 1st. Read More...

Get A Feel For How Large Mad Max's Wasteland & Strongholds Are
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Mad Max has been released and it gives a really good feel for the size of the Wasteland as well as a few looks at the crazy character of Mad Max Nothing gets my blood pumping in the morning like a good action packed game trailer and Mad Max never disappoints it would seem. Avalanche Studios has been doing a great job of bringing the franchise to life and again with this new trailer they show how Mad Max isn't going to be a game full of just Max, Warboys, and Scrotus' legions duking it out. No. There are loads of other bizarre and crazy characters in the Wasteland of Mad Max and here we get to meet a few more. Read More...

Mad Max Is Getting A Post-Apocalypse Edition…In Australia At Least
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new listing shows that Mad Max is getting a Post-Apocalypse Edition that includes Fury Road and Mad Max license plates Those hoping for a great Mad Max collector's edition or premium edition can now look forward to the Post-Apocalypse Edition…at least if you live in Australia for now. Yes, this is a new addition for Avalanche Studios Mad Max and this edition comes packaged with the hit Mad Max: Fury Road as well as a few other goodies. All of which can be seen on the Australian EB Games pre-order page for Mad Max. This is why I state only in Australia for now as it has yet to show up in any other region yet but it would make sense that Warner Bros. Read More...

The Many Different Ways Just Cause 3 Was Played At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We finally have that Just Cause 3 E3 demo to look at but quite a few different ways it could have played out as Just Cause 3 wants to I know I missed out on the Just Cause 3 E3 demo when the expo was going on so it is nice that we are now getting to look at it about a month later. Not only are we getting a look at it but we are also getting a guided tour from Avalanche Studios on what is going on as well as the many ways you can approach missions and events in Just Cause 3. Not to mention all of the crazy explosions, murder, and mayhem that we should be looking at the game to provide too. It wouldn't be a Just Cause game without all of that right and Just Cause 3 is not going to be a slouch in the franchise at all. Read More...

E3 2015 Hands On — Mad Max
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Mad Max In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It One of the games that helped start E3 off with a bang, at least for me, was Mad Max from Avalanche Studios. It was revealed back in 2013 before the new film was even a sparkle in our eyes by Avalanche Studios and it captured my attentions back then so I was overly excited to get to see how Mad Max has progressed over the years of development. It launches on September 1st for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so hopefully it has made it to a state where we can remove the idea it is a Mad Max film tie-in title. Luckily I was able to lay hands on Mad Max at E3 so I can report back how it has progressed and if it will be worth our time in a few months here. Read More...

Let The People Know & Blood Flow For Mad Max's Savage Road
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of May 2015 - 07:02 PM ]
There is a new Mad Max trailer that shows off a bit more on the game's story with hints of being linked to Mad Max: Fury Road By now I am sure most people have seen Mad Max: Fury Road and are familiar with the story of the Mad Max universe. Sure you could have had a nice filler from the original films and lore but now we can say everyone born after the 80's should know about Mad Max. Not that Avalanche Studios version of the game is directly linked but we can easily see how one influenced the other in the most recent story trailer for Mad Max. That being the film's new look and feel moving into the video game's look and feel. Read More...

Not only the gameplay trailer but also a release window for the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That time frame being "holiday 2015" to have a huge shocker here. As if we haven't been able to pretty much figure that out yet given the little we have seen already for Just Cause 3 up to now and how little Avalanche Studios has given us in terms of general game information. Have Some More Mad Max Images To Punch You In The Eyes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A few new screenshots for Mad Max have made their way online for us all to look at in awe as 'Mad Max' beats down his enemies September 1st just doesn't seem like it is going to get here fast enough so I can play Mad Max. It just won't and I don't think any level of complaining is going to rush Avalanche Studios to try and push the release date any closer. They already bypassed the need to have Mad Max out around the same time the film is hitting so at least we know that they are trying to take the time to make the game amazing and its own thing. As Mad Max should be. Read More...

We Have More Pretty Faces To Grace Mad Max
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of March 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New characters and descriptions have popped up for Mad Max during Game Informer's huge coverage of the game Just in case you've been missing out, it is Mad Max month over at Game Informer so they can try and capitalize off the hype for the new film that is coming out in a little over a month. None of the information there is for the film but for the new game coming from Avalanche Studios. At least it would feel like it was new information if it was anything that the developer hasn't already told us or shown the world before. Outside of the announcement that Mad Max is only coming to the next gen platforms there hasn't been all too much for anyone that has been keeping a close eye on the game and its development. Since it is how we roll here on the site we'll start with the bad news. It looks like Mad Max will no longer be releasing on the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems. There is no word as to why but seeing as Game Informer is getting an exclusive month of looks at Mad Max I am sure we will find out why Avalanche Studios has dropped those systems from the list and focused on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. It has just been announced from Avalanche Studios and Square Enix that we are getting Just Cause 3 in 2015 Time to dust off all of those Just Cause jokes and puns as we are getting Just Cause 3. In the wake of the next Game Informer cover being shown off it looks like Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have decided to make the announcement of Just Cause 3 live to quell speculation. Not only quell the speculation but to let us all know that Just Cause 3 is coming in 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC all because we loved Just Cause 2 so much. Isn't that swell? Read More...
