This Week In Video Games 10/16/17 — 10/20/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of October 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week And thus concludes another week in the world of video games. Another fun one out there and one filled with so many new releases and updates that it was hard to make sure we go to everything. Not only that but games like For Honor and Resident Evil 7 kept up the Halloween fix for the horror video games out there. That and that we had new reminders for Wolfenstein II and Assassin’s Creed Origins that will both be dropping next week. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Shows How The Wrong Country Was Messed With
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of October 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein Another trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has dropped to grab more attention for Wolfenstein II as well as hint at another character we will see It is almost time to fight back against all of the horrible ideologies that will be making up Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. I am not say that Machine Games and/or Bethesda has had bad ideas for the game here, but that there is definitely a focus on all of the horrible things from humanity's past and what could have been if we did not have heroes like Blazkowicz to save us all. Or at least fight the powers that have risen since the last Wolfenstein game. All of which are things we should have seen if we have been following along for the franchise as well as getting ready for October 27th to land and bring this new game to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Brave New World Is Coming Soon For Life Is Strange: Before The Storm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange The second episode of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm has been given a release date and some old characters from Life Is Strange will be showing their faces here If you have been anxious as I have for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm to get its second episode then you can kick back and get ready as it has been dated and the story will carry on. Thankfully, Deck Nine Games did not make us all wait too long to carry on with the story as it looks like said episode will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19th so we can all pick up where we left off. That or know that we are getting closer to being able to sit down and experience the whole version of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm in a lot shorter time than some of those other episodic titles out there. Punch Some Nazis In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus With The Ram Shackles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of September 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein An extended gameplay video for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus shows off some new gear for Wolfenstein II and just how to clear out New Orleans of Nazis You wanted more footage for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and now we have it. A whole lot of gameplay footage straight from Machine Games on this that shows off a bit more of New Orleans after it has had a wall built around it and filled with Nazis. Nazi that are ripe for the punching and shooting here. Of course, there are many other ways to end their lives in Wolfenstein II, but this is where we are going with all of this as we see some new gear and gadgets we will get to use when the game hits on October 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This Week In Video Games 9/18/17 — 9/22/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of September 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another amazing week of video games and everything in the bag. Even though it may have felt as if it was heavy handed toward a particular title, *cough* Call Of Duty: WWII *cough*, there was still a whole lot to cover. Then again, TGS was also going on so it makes perfect sense that there would be a lot of updates and news on all of the video games out there. Hells, we had a chance to see more for Resident Evil 7's upcoming DLC, then we had the Gold announcement for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and even with Vampyr's delay we could not be brought down. Send Shockwaves Throughout The Nation In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of September 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein A new trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is here to show us how to make sure there are no more Nazis at the end of Wolfenstein II We have had a lot of the propaganda for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus as of late as well as more and more interviews that did not give us much in way of new gameplay footage to look at and enjoy. There is no denying that and that the world that Machine Games is crafting for us will feel like a true alternate history and not just some fantasy world. Of course, we will all find out for sure on October 27th when Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we all need a bit more hype for the game before then. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/11/17 — 9/15/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of September 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That wraps up yet another week of video games here and now we get to have a small break. At least from the updates as we have a whole lot of titles releasing here in short order as well as on the close horizon. It may seem like The Evil Within 2 and Shadow Of War are still very far away, but these video games are now only a few weeks off. Then we look at Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite and need to remember that it is only a few days off now. Read More...

DOOM And Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Coming To The Switch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of September 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein It has just been announced that DOOM and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be hitting the Switch but no word on the previous Wolfenstein titles While not the most surprising move here by Bethesda, it now looks like Nintendo Switch owners can not only look forward to Skyrim making the jump over, but also Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and the most recent DOOM. All so you can take all of these titles on the go with you instead of just enjoying them in your home. At least that was the big push when Wolfenstein II and DOOM were added to the list of the most recent Nintendo Direct stream. Read More...

The Nazis Of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Have Claimed More Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of September 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein Another look at Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus shows off that the Nazis have claimed much more of the world than we thought from the last Wolfenstein game We have hopefully all been well informed of just how much control the Nazis of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus have under their control in the game's new world. One of the core elements of the story is that it is much more than they did back in WWII and in the first game. Machine Games has them totally taking over America for Wolfenstein II, for those who did not know already, but as it seems they have taken over almost the whole world at this point in the game. Review — Life Is Strange: Before The Storm — Awake
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange We sit down and review Life Is Strange: Before The Storm — Awake. This is the first episode of the prequel to Life Is Strange. Here is our review on how they did It has been a quick turnaround here for Life Is Strange: Before The Storm as it was first announced at E3 this year and now the first episode of the season has dropped on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC here on August 31st. For those who may have missed out on it so far, this is the prequel to the original episodic game that has Deck Nine Games telling the story of a different character that still has a huge impact on the whole story. I am talking Chloe Price here for Life Is Strange and the ever-missing Rachel Amber. Read More...

Meet The Blitzmensch Who Is ‘Saving’ The Day In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein Another ‘propaganda’ video for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has dropped to expand the immersive world this Wolfenstein will be bringing us soon It is time to add another bit of ‘propaganda’ out there for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus with the Blitzmensch. This would be another one of the Nazi videos and shows we will see and hear when shooting our way through Nazi-occupied America in the game. The enemy will always be trying to usurp the current people and this is one of the tactics we will see in the background to explain why it is only BJ Blazkowicz fighting the good fight here. All because Machine Games wanted to make sure we had our immersion for Wolfenstein II in the fictional way and not what is going on in the current times. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Is Bringing Double The Trouble
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein Another video for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is here and it delves more into the weaponry of Wolfenstein II and how it has changed since the last game Here we go with another update for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and this time we are digging into the weapons and new systems that we will get to use to take down all of those Nazis that have occupied the United States in the fictional setting that Machine Games has crafted for us. It's no big surprise that we are going to get to dual-wield firearms again, nor is it all that much of a surprise that we will get to dual-wield different weapons in the game to keep things playing as we wish to. Wolfenstein II is going to have a lot of Nazis in there and we are going to need to kill them all as best we can to save the country and restore the proper government again. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/7/17 — 8/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week has come and gone and we had even more to talk about in the world of video games than was expected. At least expected by me as we are getting close to the next big gaming conventions out there and you'd think that all the studios and publishers would be holding back. Then again, we have some great titles like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus coming up and we need to talk about those video games for sure. Then mix in some extra coverage on SDCC that we've been working on getting out to you and a few new reviews and I guess I can see how we made it a pretty hectic week again. Read More...

Put Your Trust In Brother With Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein A new propaganda video for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been released to give us yet another feel for Wolfenstein II's Nazi occupied America We had a whole lot of gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus last week and thankfully, so far, it seems like Bethesda has not come out firing off with more here this week. Yet. I must stress yet as it feels like they are trying to get a whole lot of the game out there and in our eyes as Machine Games wraps up the work on it. Read More...
