Things Are Getting Darker In The World Of Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Metro A new trailer for Metro Exodus has released from Gamescom to show us how much darker the world of Metro can get as we travel above ground As if the horrors of walking around in the world of Metro Exodus were not enough, we have even more to look out for and the latest trailer from Gamescom nails this home a bit more. So far from what 4A Games has shown the world for the game, it has not been too bleak or dark. At least in terms of more than what we already have been getting in the franchise thus far. Read More...

Control Will Be Using Some New Tech For Better Immersion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of August 2018 - 03:00 PM ]
Control A new video for Control is here and it shows us how the game will leverage some new tech from NVidia to make the world of Control feel ‘realer’ We are still waiting for some new gameplay details for Control and what we have here is not much in the way of that. What we do have here today is a small look at how Remedy will be using some new technology to help further the realism of the game's world and in turn increase the immersion of it all. At least that is the hope and it does look like they are on their way to do that with Control given the new ray-tracing and illumination effects we have to look at here. At least on the PC side of it all as there is no word on how this will translate over to the PS4 and Xbox One side of things, if at all. Read More...

Darksiders III Will Bring The Original Crew Back Together Somehow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of August 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Darksiders New gameplay for Darksiders III is here from Gamescom as well as a new cinematic that brings the last two Darksiders protagonists back As was to be expected, Darksiders III has a whole lot more to show off out at Gamescom and one of the bigger things has to be a look at Death and War as they will be making a showing in Fury's story here. If you have been a fan of the franchise thus far, it does not come as a huge surprise that Gunfire Games would be adding the characters into the mix here as THQ Nordic did it in the last title too. Granted, they did it in a way where Death had to fight an incarnation of War in Darksiders II and not as a much more. Read More...

Life Is Strange The first real trailer for Life Is Strange 2 is here and with it comes a few new updates and ideas on what to expect in Life Is Strange 2 We finally have our first real look at Life Is Strange 2 now and it looks like the game is going in a different direction than some thought from the past. If you had any inclination that it would be just a continuation from the first one that DontNod put out there, then you have not been paying attention and need to rethink your life. There are so many options that they could take Life Is Strange in, as we saw from the demo that Square Enix had them put out around E3, and this is a new one with a whole new cast, location, issues, and story. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of August 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Spider-Man Another video for Spider-Man is here to show off more of the combat and costumes we will get to experience in Spider-Man soon Another episode of "Just The Facts" has dropped on us for Spider-Man to give us more of the facts about the combat and other systems we will soon be playing with on our PS4. Well, more it is about the gadgets and other abilities we will unlock in our costumes more than combat as it is described here, but it does show a little more of the combat in the mix. Maybe that is what Insomniac Games wanted to play up instead or something. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Battlefield A new look at Battlefield V is here before Gamescom to show us a new location we will be running and gunning around in Battlefield V Gamescom may still be a little ways out, but that will not stop us from getting trailers early-ish as we have here for Battlefield V. It is usually how it always is for these kinds of things to get us all pumped to stand in lines to play the next subsection DICE has for us for the game wherever EA is showing it off at. You should know how it is now and it will continue for Battlefield V until October 11th when we all will be playing it and the teams move on to the downloadable content, updates, and the inevitable next title in the franchise launching next year. Unless they choose to take an extra year to make a bigger game for us all. Read More...

Things Are Getting Darker In Overkillâs The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of August 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead It looks like Overkill’s The Walking Dead is heading to Gamescom and with that means we are getting a look at a new area in their take on The Walking Dead We will soon be treated with more for Overkill’s The Walking Dead as it looks like the developer is heading out to Gamescom here in the coming weeks and unsurprisingly bringing its gameplay with it. Not too shocking given that Overkill just showed the first bit off at E3 here and it was met with a whole lot of positive responses in general. Hells, we even loved the hells out of this take on The Walking Dead and are glad to see more gamers are going to get to check it out before launch. Read More...

New York City Will Be Our Open Playground In Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of August 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A new video for the upcoming Spider-Man game is here to show us more of the in-game city we will be swinging around as Spider-Man Just as we thought we were not going to be seeing more of Spider-Man before its launch on September 7th, here we go with just a little more. Not much more as there is still a lot hidden away by Insomniac Games, but more in the way of the location and world we will be swinging around in. Anyone who knows Spider-Man, in general, knows we will be based in New York City and that means there should be a lot of iconic buildings and structures to keep an eye out for in the game. Well, it does not mean it but it is something we should do as we are swinging around with our PS4 controllers. Read More...

Assassinâs Creed Odysseyâs Athens Will Feel Much Like The Real One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of August 2018 - 03:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed New videos for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey have released and give us a view of the Athens of the Assassin’s Creed universe and more naval combat If there is one thing that Assassin’s Creed has been known for it is the look and feel of the locations. At least after we get past all of the murder, historical stories, and other gameplay aspects we have seen in the past. That still does not change the fact that so far Ubisoft has done a great job capturing the locations and feeling of the era in their settings. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not going to be any different and now we have further proof that we will be whisked back to Ancient Greece in the game. Read More...

Silence Will Ring The Loudest In The Quiet Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of August 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
The Quiet Man New details for The Quiet Man are here as well as a look at how The Quiet Man will blend live-action and CG in this action game We finally have some solid details on The Quiet Man after the title was announced during E3 in a very strange way. All it seemed like we had was a live-action trailer with a little bit of gameplay mixed in. As it turns out, that was actually all "gameplay" from Human Head Studios as they are aiming to bring us a mix of live-action film mixed with third-person action gameplay to seamlessly tell us a nice little narrative. Little in terms of The Quiet Man spanning only one in-game night and only taking us about three hours to complete from start to end. Read More...

Here’s our review of The Council: Ripples The intrigue continues as The Council: Ripples has dropped out there and we have now had a chance to play it through. There is something huge building in the game and it looks like we are about to hit the point Big Bad Wolf has been building toward. At least it feels that way as we are now at the midpoint of The Council with this episode. Read More...

Metro Exodus The pre-orders are up for Metro Exodus and with that comes all of the other ways you can pick up Metro Exodus before launch February 22nd is still a ways off, but now you can make sure you secure your copy of Metro Exodus well in advance. That is right. The pre-orders for the game have gone up and 4A Games is ready for you to throw down your cash and prove to Deep Silver that the game will bring the money back in. Not that anyone had much of a worry about that just yet. We just needed a fancier way of saying that the pre-orders are out there for Metro Exodus and that there will be a few different options for said pre-order. Read More...

Days Gone Will Use Realism To Build More Gameplay Tension
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of August 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Days Gone A new behind the scenes video for Days Gone has dropped to explain how Days Gone will use a sense of realism to add to the gameplay tension in the game It may not be much for now, but we have another look at Days Gone here and how Bend Studio is aiming to use more realism in the game to add to the tension we will feel when playing. At least that is the claim here as we see how we will be forced to encounter hordes of "freakers" in the game early on and have to deal with that as we progress further into the game. Not only that but we will also have to worry about our motorcycle's status in Days Gone in terms of fuel and state of repair. Read More...
