This Week In Video Games 5/22/17 â 5/26/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week of video games in the bag and it was a huge one that was un expected indeed. I could have sworn it would have been a silent week given the proximity of E3, but it looks like they had to get all of the Far Cry 5 news out there to get us all hyped up for the video games still to come in the next few weeks. That and keep our minds off the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 a bit and then be excited to see that LawBreakers is heading to the PS4 as well now. Mix in the Xbox Game Pass and other little bits we had and it was a pretty damn solid week for us all. Read More...

There Is More To The Moral Dilemmas & Worlds In Star Wars Battlefront II
by Julia Thompson [ Monday, 22nd of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Star Wars A new part of Star Wars Battlefront II's developer diaries has been released to go into some of the moral grey areas in the Star Wars universe While I wish we had more to show off in terms of gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront II, it looks like what we have here is a new developer diary for the game to gaze upon. Pretty much more on what DICE was getting into with their last one only that they talk a bit more on the morally grey portions of the IP and franchise; that and we'll be able to experience some of this in the new game. If I had to guess I would say that EA is holding all of the juicier parts of Star Wars Battlefront II until E3 or D23 here soon, but none the less this is a great reminder that it is coming and a bit more of what to expect on November 17th. Star Wars Battlefront II Is Going Deep Into The Story Of An Imperial Soldier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Star Wars With Star Wars Battlefront II going into a story on the side of the Empire, the team for this new Star Wars goes into how they are going to make it exciting It caught a lot of attentions when it was announced that Star Wars Battlefront II was going to be talking the story to the side of the Empire in the overall story by following along the exploits of Imperial Commander Iden Versio. I know it caught my attentions even though there are a lot of fans that wished DICE would just pump out another title in the vein of the established heroes in the universe. I'm sure that EA would have liked to go the safe route with Star Wars Battlefront II but I'm seeing it as something that will truly shine when it launches on November 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Star Wars Battlefront II Will Be Bringing Us A Lot More Than Expected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of April 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Star Wars The full announcement for Star Wars Battlefront II has been given and it looks like we will be diving into fun territories in the Star Wars universe this November There was a nice little tease last week for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II but over the weekend we all were hit with the full trailer and a whole lot of details out of the huge event that took place. Not too surprising at all that we had a lot more from EA on this game there as it was teased that at least the full trailer would be shown off, but it also came with a lot of interesting twists that DICE will be taking with the IP and franchise. Not that Star Wars Battlefront II is going to change up the canon or lore as we all know it, but with the inclusion of a campaign mode from the start and a few other items we will be looking at the franchise as a whole in a few different ways. All You Need To Know â Leaked Star Wars Battlefront II Trailer
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 13th of April 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Star Wars The trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II has leaked out and we have it and more for you. Here's all the Star Wars Battlefront II details you need to know I admit I was really disappointed in the remake of Star Wars Battlefront. The game played fine but was lacking a lot of what made the older games fun. I mainly picked it up for my dad to play for a few hours because some of my best memories of when he and I would play Battlefront II and hoped DICE caught that magic again. Lack of offline really hurt the game for me because while I didn’t mind it having an online focus the fact that there was a $60 season pass withholding much of the game behind a paywall forcing you to pay for a subscription in EA fashion. We Can Expect The Sequel To Star Wars Battlefront This Time Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of November 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Star Wars It looks like the Star Wars Battlefront sequel is aiming to release in Fall of 2017 just in time for the next Star Wars film Earlier in the year when it was brought up that Star Wars Battlefront was going to be getting a sequel it was laid out that would be the case between April and the end of next year. DICE is currently working on it all but that still leaves a pretty wide open range to expect to see the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Thankfully in the most recent investor call for EA it was let loose that we can expect to see Star Wars Battlefront sometime in Fall of 2017. Read More...

Concept Art For Visceral's Star Wars Have Come Out As Well As An Update
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Star Wars During London's Star Wars celebration event we received a few new bits of concept are for the Star Wars Visceral is working for us We all know that EA is holding onto that Star Wars IP with an iron grip and forcing pretty much all of their development studios to work on the IP in some way or another. One of which would be Visceral Games that we all know for the Dead Space titles and the most recent Battlefield Hardline title; also they are the studio who picked up Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame. Of course it makes sense that they would have them working on another Star Wars addition into the video game world and it looks like we have a bit of an update and some pieces of concept art to work with as we wait and see. Star Wars Battlefront Is Going Offline But Not In The Way You Think
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Star Wars A new mode for Star Wars Battlefront has been announced, is coming next week, and will be giving Star Wars Battlefront an offline mode of play It's been almost half a year since Star Wars Battlefront came out and we already know of another title in the franchise in the work. One could assume that DICE was letting the game fall to the side as they work on other projects but EA just isn't going to let that happen. Especially since there are gamers out there whom have purchased the season pass for Star Wars Battlefront and need more content. Or at least want more content and it looks like the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game will be getting a new mode this coming week. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of May 2016 - 05:00 PM ]

Another New Star Wars Title Is On The Way From The Titanfall Team
by Julia Thompson [ Wednesday, 4th of May 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Star Wars A new addition to the Star Wars franchise is in the works and it looks like the Titanfall developers are looking to expand the Star Wars universe just a bit more All Star Wars fans can rejoice yet again as it looks like there is yet another title in the works for the franchise and this time it is coming from the team who brought us Titanfall. That's right; Respawn has now been tapped by EA to undertake yet another Star Wars title for the world and they waited until today, for obvious reasons, to reveal it all to the world. As if you didn't have enough options already now you will have one more to fly off to a galaxy far away… While it would have worked out much better to actually have to show the world it looks like all we are getting here is an announcement that a new Star Wars title is coming from the studio. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Is Coming To Expand The Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Star Wars LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just been announced and coming later this year to further expand the Star Wars universe in a way that only LEGO can do We all figured it was coming but now we have an official announcement for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I would have thought that TT Games would have tried to get this out closer to the release of the film to try and capitalize on all of that at the time but it just wasn't in the cards I guess. Maybe Warner Bros. couldn't secure the needed materials to make LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens back then. Read More...
