This Week In Video Games 5/22/17 â 5/26/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week of video games in the bag and it was a huge one that was un expected indeed. I could have sworn it would have been a silent week given the proximity of E3, but it looks like they had to get all of the Far Cry 5 news out there to get us all hyped up for the video games still to come in the next few weeks. That and keep our minds off the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 a bit and then be excited to see that LawBreakers is heading to the PS4 as well now. Mix in the Xbox Game Pass and other little bits we had and it was a pretty damn solid week for us all. Read More...

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Season Finale Is Taking Us Off To War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The final trailer for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's season finale is here to give us a taste of the latest story in The Walking Dead I was beginning to think that we wouldn't be seeing a full trailer for the final episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier here, but here we are with it. It is starting to feel like Telltale Games is mixing up all of their usual patterns but in a really good way. None the less though, we have a new trailer for this title in The Walking Dead franchise just days before we can dive right in and wrap up this whole part of the story on May 30th. Read More...

It's Another Beautiful Day In Hell As Dead Alliance Is Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Dead Alliance Another zombie multiplayer title, Dead Alliance, is on the way out there and a lot of Dead Alliance looks to build on other title's failures If you were hoping that the zombie multiplayer game was going to take a break here then you may want to forget that as it looks like we have Dead Alliance on its way to bring us even more of the zombies and more of the four on four multiplayer shooter gameplay. Yes, it looks like we will have another one added into the mix here from Psyop Games and Maximum Games. All on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 29th. Read More...

Your Choices In The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Matter More Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead A new look at the choices of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier that we've experienced is here just before the last episode of The Walking Dead's finale episode of the season As the next and last episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's season comes at us, it looks like it is a bit of time to look back at the season so far and some of the big choices we've had to make during the run of the season. While it still has a lot to do to be one of my favorite Telltale Games to date, they sure have crafted a fun experience that deviates perfectly from the comics and previous seasons to keep us all guessing and wanting to see more of the human experience in this way. Especially with family and all of the madness that goes with it being one of the core factors in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier it looks to be something great. Read More...

Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Moseying On Into 2018 Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Red Dead Redemption 2 It looks like Red Dead Redemption 2 will now release in 2018 but we do have some new Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshots to gaze at We all hate delays but sometimes it is for the better and hopefully that will be the case here for Red Dead Redemption 2 as it has now been hit with a delay. Even though there wasn't a release date specifically set for the game, Rockstar Games did state that they were aiming to get the game out on the PS4 and Xbox One by this Fall. Now the wait will be a little bit longer as Red Dead Redemption 2 will not be coming to us until sometime in Spring of 2018. Read More...

There Is More To The Moral Dilemmas & Worlds In Star Wars Battlefront II
by Julia Thompson [ Monday, 22nd of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Star Wars A new part of Star Wars Battlefront II's developer diaries has been released to go into some of the moral grey areas in the Star Wars universe While I wish we had more to show off in terms of gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront II, it looks like what we have here is a new developer diary for the game to gaze upon. Pretty much more on what DICE was getting into with their last one only that they talk a bit more on the morally grey portions of the IP and franchise; that and we'll be able to experience some of this in the new game. If I had to guess I would say that EA is holding all of the juicier parts of Star Wars Battlefront II until E3 or D23 here soon, but none the less this is a great reminder that it is coming and a bit more of what to expect on November 17th. LawBreakers Will Rise & Fall To The Spirit In The Sky On PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
LawBreakers It looks like LawBreakers is now heading to the PS4 with all the bells and whistles as well as we have a new LawBreakers cinematic trailer to view The LawBreakers beta has just ended here recently and more or less it sounded like many gamers out their enjoyed their experience and wanted more. Not just the beta, but for Boss Key Productions to just get the game out to them all already so they can tear it up in zero gravity. While those demands may still be a bit off for LawBreakers, what isn't far off is the fact that it will be heading to the PS4 now on top of the PC so even more gamers can get in on the fun. Star Wars Battlefront II Is Going Deep Into The Story Of An Imperial Soldier
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Star Wars With Star Wars Battlefront II going into a story on the side of the Empire, the team for this new Star Wars goes into how they are going to make it exciting It caught a lot of attentions when it was announced that Star Wars Battlefront II was going to be talking the story to the side of the Empire in the overall story by following along the exploits of Imperial Commander Iden Versio. I know it caught my attentions even though there are a lot of fans that wished DICE would just pump out another title in the vein of the established heroes in the universe. I'm sure that EA would have liked to go the safe route with Star Wars Battlefront II but I'm seeing it as something that will truly shine when it launches on November 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The date for the final episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier’s first season will be on us faster than a zombie from The Walking Dead It's funny to say now, but it seems not too long ago that The Walking Dead: A New Frontier season just kicked off and started to flow, but here we are with the final episode of the season about to come at us. It's been a fun roller coaster of events and twists in this latest outing from Telltale Games and now we are wrapping it up. If you couldn't have guessed by now, we are talking about The Walking Dead: A New Frontier getting its final episode on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS platforms on May 30th. Read More...

Get Ready To Dominate Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's Open World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War A new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War has just dropped and it gives us a glimpse of the other lands Shadow Of War will have to offer us all It's been a nice little bit since we had something new for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War and now we get to come at you with an open-world kind of trailer to look at. It's not the kind that you would assume with all of the other open-world trailers we get, but this one shows off more of the fighting as well as a few of the new places that Monolith Productions has put together for us to explore so it isn't all Mordor and the surrounding areas. That would make Shadow Of War a little on the boring side if we were still confined to the same locations as before, but that will not be the case. Read More...

Injustice 2 Has More Premier Skins To Look At Before Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Injustice 2 More of the premier skins for Injustice 2 have been spotted out there in the world and we see more Injustice 2 characters shown off Only a few more sleep cycles until we all get to dive into the console version of Injustice 2 and see what hasn't been shown off to us just yet. We've been getting a lot of promises out of NetherRealm Studios that there is still a whole lot that we have not seen yet and this includes premier skins in the mix. These are the special skins in Injustice 2 that will completely alter the look and sound of one of the core characters into something completely new. We've seen this so far with Power Girl and Reverse Flash, but there have been promises of so many more. Read More...

Ancestors Will Place Us In The Heat Of Medieval Battles
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new in-engine video for Ancestors has been released to show us just how the Ancestors RTS feel will go between god and unit It's going to sound odd talking about Ancestors here knowing that there are two titles coming out with that as the main title for the game. The version we are going to talk about here though is the RTS title coming from 1C and Destructive Creations for the Xbox One and PC and not the weird ancient history simulator that we've heard a little about before. This version of Ancestors will be taking us through history, but all in the vein of murdering each other in glorious battle between four different nations. All based on historically accurate battles and wars that have taken place between the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans, Slavs. Read More...

Total War: Warhammer II Shows Off A New Race & In-Game Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Total War Not long ago it was announced that Total War: Warhammer II was coming and now we have a look at some in-game footage for Total War: Warhammer II with a new race of lizardmen Back in March we all caught wind of Total War: Warhammer II coming to our PCs sometime in 2017 but it was all done in a cinematic trailer that didn't do much but show us that the game was coming and to expect more. No slight to Creative Assembly for what they gave us, but I know I am not a fan of just cinematic trailers and then nothing to go one from there. Sure we found out that there would be elves in Total War: Warhammer II but I prefer gameplay and something more akin to what we will be getting in a final build. Read More...

Paragon Phases In Another Character To Punk All Of Your Opponents
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Paragon The next character to join the fight of Paragon has been shown off and looks to add a lot of flair to Paragon in the coming week There has been so much going on in gaming recently that I've almost forgot about Paragon and all of the new heroes that are coming to the game. Here we are with yet another on that is coming to the game here on May 16th and she looks to add a whole lot of flair to Epic Games' MOBA title on the PC and PS4. At least as much flair that we can expect in Paragon but it does look like a page was taken from the most recent inFAMOUS title when it comes to powers and abilities. At least if you go with the neon powers and all of that stuff that comes with it. Read More...

In Case You Missed Out, Here's Everything You Need To Know For Injustice 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Injustice 2 As Injustice 2 is just about to launch, it is time to get a full recap on all of Injustice 2's ins and outs so we are all completely ready for launch We are a week out from the launch of Injustice 2 and it feels like we've seen and heard all there is for the game already. Outside of the finer details of the story in the game and specific gear we can collect, NetherRealm Studios has given us quite a lot to go on to make up our minds on if we are going to give the game a go here on the 16th. Hells, we only have a few more DLC characters to get shown off for Injustice 2 and we would have the whole package. I'm going to guess that we won't see those until well after launch but there is still a week and a lot planned up to then, so that may be changed up. Read More...
