While At E3 I Got To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Mortal Kombat X was teased and rumored long enough before E3 that it was no real big surprise to see it play out on the big screens during the press conferences. By no means am I saying it wasn't a treat to see but there was no real shock and awe moment as the game was fully announced. But that is really all that happened on the big screen leaving much to be desired beyond the long lines of fans waiting to see what Ed Boon had in store for us; not to mention the two new characters promised to be shown off during the event. While At E3 I Got To See Battlecry In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Announced just before E3 we have Battlecry from Bethesda and BattleCry Studios. This is the new title that is a 32 player multiplayer hack 'n' slash title where players take on the role of one of five classes from one of three different factions in the game. Up until now we only had a nice CGI trailer for the game and a few screen shots that showed off the cell shaded looking world of visceral combat. While at E3 I got to see Bloodborne in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it One of the larger titles named and shown during the Sony press conference was a game called Bloodborne. The next title coming from Japan Studios and From Software for the PS4. A trailer for the Gauntlet reboot has been released showing off all the gear and weapons that we will be using in the game Earlier this year we had the announcement for Gauntlet getting the next gen treatment with a nice little trailer. Now that Gauntlet is slated to be shown off to the world here next week it should be right time to show off some actual gameplay. Isn't it? The countdown is over and Mortal Kombat X has been officially announced with a trailer and a few bits on gameplay After weeks of teasing and many "leaks" it looks like we got what was "promised" as Mortal Kombat X has now been fully announced. It even has a nice pre-rendered trailer to go along with it. At least it is assumed to be pre-rendered but the fact that it looks to be using the Unreal Engine 4 as a base and planned for the PS4, XB1, and PC as well as the "last gen" consoles, it might not be out of the realm of possibilities for it to be real time footage. Remedy Entertainment has given us a tease for Quantum Break with nothing more coming until Gamescom in August So everyone seems to be announcing everything just before E3 or, in the case of Quantum Break, telling us that there will be nothing new until a later date. In the case of Quantum Break that would happen to be Gamescom in August this year. Not too far off but for us State-side that means that most of us will have to be remote to see what Remedy has up their sleeves for us for the game. UPDATE: Well it looks like a new Mortal Kombat is now mostly confirmed as Ed Boon has posted the following on his Twitter account after updating the look and icons to match the poster. Bethesda and BattleCry Studios have just announced the studio's first title Battlecry in wonderful CG trailer form. Some of you may have heard of BattleCry Studios being founded back in 2012. Some of you, maybe not. None the less after two years of being in service it looks like we are getting a look at the developer's first title that just also happens to share the company's name; Battlecry. Not many points on being creative in naming either the title or the company but at least most of us will never forget one or the other. There are now four new characters for Evolve but the same four classes. Just in case you thought the first set of hunters for Evolve were boring, Turtle Rock has brought us four new characters for the game. One for each class with their own new personalities and different abilities, skills, and weapons in the game. Halo 5: Guardians has been officially announced now by 343 Studios for the Xbox One next year. While the new installment of the Halo franchise was teased during the huge Microsoft event last year at E3, just weeks before this year's E3 we get the announcement and release window for Halo 5: Guardians. We have yet to see much more than a CG trailer for the Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive. This is the latest title coming from the once mainly PlayStation exclusive developer Insomniac Games. You might remember it being announced during the Microsoft E3 2013 press event or you might not. Driveclub has been pushed back once again but now there is a solid date of October 7th. Yes, that means that Driveclub won't be coming to the PS4 here in early 2014 as stated before. Apparently the game just will not be ready until about the first anniversary of the next gen console's launch. Now the date is October 7th if you sit through and watch the gorgeous trailer that was released showing the new date in all of its kind of glory. Good news for all of you race fans or those who want to see how pretty a racing game can be on next gen. A new game trailer for Mad Max has been released showing off the amazing vehicle of the game; the Magnum Opus. One could have had a baby in the time it has been since we last got a video look at Mad Max from Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. That isn't too much of an exaggeration either. In fact it had been so long that recently I began to question if Mad Max was still being worked on or if it had been canned quietly so as not to have everyone asking 'Why?'. A new trailer/gameplay video for Evolve has been released and it lets you choose the character you watch in the match. That latest trailer for Evolve is completely the way that multiplayer titles should do it. As you have most likely not jumped to the following trailer yet, let me explain. Turtle Rock and 2K have put together a nice nine minute game session for Evolve showing off some of the game's mechanics as well as abilities employed by each of the five different playable characters. The best part is you can hop between each of them to see what they see while running around trying to kill the Goliath or trying to survive and kill the players. As of writing this I have yet to see the match through each character's eyes but I have watched the commentated version of the Evolve match and I can be colored impressed for this multiplayer titles.
