Discover The Inspirations Behind All Things The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Three new developer diaries for The Evil Within have gone live from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks and this time they discuss their inspirations for the game, sound, and visuals Last week we had a good long view inside the minds behind The Evil Within. At least that was in the terms of the game's director and creator. There are a whole lot of other aspects and designers involved in making The Evil Within so it looks like now we get to dig into the grey matter of all those other people on the team over at Tango Gameworks. This time it is in the general inspirations from Shinji Mikami and all of the aspects of visual and audio design that is sure to scare our panties off when we dig into the game and not the team's brain. The Evil Within Is Making Every Last Bullet Count
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new walk-though video for The Evil Within has been released showing you all of the tips and trick you'll need to use to survive As was to be assumed with The Evil Within only weeks out from launch, it looks like we have a "how to survive guide" to show us all the key features we will need to rely on to make it from start to finish. I'm not too sure on why this seems to be the standard with games and their launches as of late but it just is. The bonus here though is that this video shows off a load of new gameplay for The Evil Within to go along with all the helpful tips. Read More...

Let's Go Inside The Mind And Art Of The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Two new behind the scenes looks at The Evil Within have been released to show off the art and gameplay direction that the game has taken from start to finish Today is wrapping up to be a 'behind the scenes' kind of day now with The Evil Within adding two more videos to show off what has gone into making the game. The larger difference here is that most of it is through interviews with Shinji and the development team instead of just showing off what is going on with the game's engine and design directions. None the less we all get a nice and interesting look at how the team over at Tango Gameworks is going to be trying to drive fear into all of our hearts here on October 14th. Read More...

New Locations Shown Off For The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots and concepts for The Evil Within have been released to show off a couple locations we will be surviving through Earlier in the week we had a nice little trailer for The Evil Within that didn't do much to show off anything we haven't seen for the game so far. It wasn't a letdown at all but I know I would have loved to see a few more places, environments, or locations that we are going to be running for our lives around. Even the "new gameplay" from the Tokyo Game Show is just another play though for the same demo levels we have seen since the big E3 showing. We have a month left so it is time we ask for a bit more. See The World Of Ruvik From The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The TGS trailer for The Evil Within has been released by Bethesda and Tango Gameworks and it is looking even more insane It looks like we have a new trailer for The Evil Within straight out of the Tokyo Game Show and it actually manages to make the game look more intense than it already did. I didn't think this was going to be possible given how amazingly freakish the game looks and sounds already but this new trailer is cut so perfectly that I can see the goal for Silent Hills coming to life here in The Evil Within. The whole needing a second pair of under garments to make it through the bulk of the game and all. You know what I'm talking about here. Read More...

The Delicious Sounds Of The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new Bethesda Underground video has been released showing off just how they got some of those gruesome sound effects for The Evil Within We already know that The Evil Within is going to have some amazing voice talents but there is so much more to the audio for a game like this than just famous voice overs. Flesh being torn, brains being stabbed, bones being crushed, and limbs being ripped also make the fear factor of a survival horror title. All kinds of gross and nasty things need to be recorded in the mix to make you really cringe at the scenes that you are watching or playing through. Read More...

Atari Is Bringing Yet Another Re-Imagining With Haunted House: Cryptic Graves
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
It looks like Atari is re-imagining yet another title to bring to PC and this time it is Haunted House: Cryptic Graves If you have no idea what Haunted House: Cryptic Graves is, don't fret. It is most likely well before your time when the original title from Atari was released, 1982, so you may not have a point of reference for Haunted House: Cryptic Graves. That is okay though as we do have a nice little teaser trailer for the re-imaging of the game that is slated to release this Fall on PC. It sure looks a lot creepier than the original 2600 version of the game way back in the day. Read More...

The Evil Within Now Comes With Freddy Mixed In…At Least The Voice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The voice over cast of The Evil Within has been announced via a behind the scenes video and it included some amazing horror actors If there is one title actually coming out this year that looks scary as hells it would be The Evil Within. This should be no shocker unless you are just now hearing about this title coming from Shinji Mikami, the mind behind bringing horror to video games, or just caught wind of the voices that will be lending to the overall experience. I hear that people follow actors more than developers now. Who'd have thought? Read More...

Wait…We Will Get To Play As Boxman With The Evil Within's Season Pass?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Looks like there will be a season pass for The Evil Within giving us a few interesting ways to play the game When it comes to season passes for games The Evil Within doesn't seem like it would be a title that would have a need for one. Granted, that is looking at most season passes as multiplayer add-ons for games or bonus maps for said multiplayer but that isn't the case here. Don't think that some form of multiplayer has been shoe horned in for The Evil Within when it wouldn't be needed nor wanted for the horror experience. It is all story or mission based content planned to roll out after the October launch. Read More...

The Evil Within Has Had Yet Another Release Date Change
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
During the Bethesda conference at Quakecon there was an announcement of a third release date for The Evil Within Unlike what will happen when playing The Evil Within, calm down. This is not another piece of bad news for The Evil Within but it is a bit of good as it was let loose that the game is now coming out a week earlier now. That means that evil will be taking hold on October 14th now instead of the 21st. That is as long as Bethesda doesn't change their minds after what they claimed at Quakecon here recently. by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 17th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There is a new teaser trailer for Fatal Frame, Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko, coming to the Wii U September 27th in Japan This may not be breaking news for many who don't live in Japan but it looks like the Wii U version of Fatal Frame or Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko is slated for a September 27th release in that territory. There is also a really creepy new trailer showing off a bit of the gameplay and horror that we could expect from the game. At least we could if it was slated to come over to the U. Read More...

E3 2014 Hands On: The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See The Evil Within In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Here is yet another title that I have been dying for and am going to have a fun V-day with The Evil Within. It was on the floor here as a playable demo, the first time I've had a chance to actually get my mitts on the game; all in a nice and creepy setting to boot. Just the way a game like this needs to be played. I only wish Bethesda would let me take home some of the decor to place up in my god-cave so I can replay the same experience. Read More...

The Evil Within Has Been Delayed To The Month Of Horror
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Evil Within has been delayed until October 21st but we have some new things to look at and be frightful for. Well here is a bit of bad news and good news for The Evil Within. The bad news is that we are all going to have to wait another two extra months to get our hands on this fright filled game from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks. I have been so looking forward to this title since I first hand my mind broken by the gameplay footage that has been shown. Now the wait is going to be a bit longer to make sure that The Evil Within is completely polished and ready for our gamer minds to devour. Read More...
