Nintendo and Universal Parks are teaming up to bring us all the Nintendo experiences we want in the real world It looks like all of us who ever wanted to wander into any of Nintendo's properties are going to be able to do just that sometime in the near future. It was announced that Nintendo is now partnering up with Universal Parks to bring some of their huge IPs to said parks around the world to let us all experience what a day in the life of Mario Mario would be like. A new 'features' trailer for Mario Kart 8 shows off levels, characters, and tracks. I'll be honest that I had no clue that we were up to Mario Kart 8 now. I am also not the biggest Nintendo gamer as of the last few years so it is easy to see how that may have fallen through the crack of my attention. None the less Mario Kart 8 is coming out later this month (May) and there is a new trailer showing off all of the cool new stuff that is going to be in the game. With the previous announcement of the unveiling of a new console at E3 this year, it was really only a matter of time before the Nintendo Wii had an announcement of a price break. Today (5/4/11) Nintendo revealed the new packaging and price structures of the Nintendo Wii. Available in white or black, Nintendo plans on implementing the $149.99 price point on May 15th. Some good news for you Wii lovers: This Nintendo press release announces that the publisher will release their next major game for the Wii, the highly anticipated racing game Mario Kart Wii, on April 27 in the US. This date is just two days before the release of Rockstar's PS3-Xbox 360 game Grand Theft Auto IV on April 29.
