Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That was a bit of a rough week out here but we had some good video games in the mix of it all here. Not just the games side of things, but there was the drop of the first look at Twisted Metal out there while we wait for the upcoming Star Trek: Resurgence and Diablo IV to come out too. Tekken Tekken 8 has another fighter coming into the ring with Lili making her way back in from Tekken of the past It may not be a new character coming in for Tekken 8, as it has always seemed to be, but we have one more to add to the roster with Lili coming back and bring some Salt. Salt being her kitten and part of the long joke that Bandai Namco is trying to make with all of this. You may or may not be laughing, but that does not change that we have another character coming back into Tekken and bringing a different flair to things in the mix. Tekken Three more fighters are making their way out for Tekken 8 with many more coming from various other Tekken titles out there The fighters keep coming out to us all for Tekken 8 with three more to share here for us all. Three more that we have seen from Bandai Namco in the past already, but it is a sign that the roster is going to be massive when it does hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Some of them going all the way back to one of the earlier Tekken titles out there with at least one of them coming from something more recent. Tekken More of the classic Tekken characters is coming in for the fight again in Tekken 8 with Jun Kazama The next fighter for Tekken 8 is on the way here to us all with Jun Kazama coming back into the mix to bring a mother's love to the fight. That sounds a bit odd to have here, but it is something that Bandai Namco is looking to do for the next title. The roster keeps growing for this Tekken title and it will only keep growing as we head toward 2024 for the release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Tekken Jack-8 is now here for Tekken 8 so we can further round out the Tekken alum part of the roster we have We had King come back in for Tekken 8 earlier in the week and now we have another coming into the fight from the past too. All of this is something I hope that Bandai Namco is getting out the way for now with something truly new before the 2024 launch. Nonetheless, here we go with Jack-8 coming in for Tekken 8 and bringing this strong AI character back in. Tekken Another of the Tekken alum will be back in the mix for Tekken 8 with King getting the latest showcase for us all The staples keep coming out there for Tekken 8, as we get to see that King is coming back for this title when the 2024 title. It was not going to be a hard one to expect that we would see Bandai Namco drag this one back out into the light once more. This is fitting with King being the luchador character with a leopard mask since the early days of Tekken, but it does make it so we are not seeing anything new instead. Tekken One more Tekken character is back in the mix with Law coming back in for it all in Tekken 8 We should have known it was coming already, but here we go with the official look at Marshall Law fighting his way back into Tekken 8. There was a look in the most recent video for Paul that Bandai Namco tossed out there where Law was fighting Paul. Here we go with the official look at the character as Law makes it back from the various other Tekken titles out there. Tekken One more of the classic Tekken characters is coming back with Paul joining the fight in Tekken 8 Rev up those engines and get ready to see as Paul Phoenix rides back in for Tekken 8. This is the latest character revealed for the upcoming title form Bandai Namco as we get another of the classic characters back in the mix. Although, the look and feel for Paul does help him to be separated out from the classic we have seen in the many other Tekken over the years. Lies Of P The release month for Lies Of P is listed now with a bit of new gameplay in the mix for Lies Of P too Get those calendars ready to mark up since we have a new release timeline for Lies Of P over on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not that we had one before now, even if memory makes it feel like there was, but now we can look to August of this year to see the game from Round8 Studio. Tekken During the Tekken World Tour 2023, we were all shown some new gameplay and see that Nina will be back in time for Tekken 8 Add one more to the list of announced fighters out there for Tekken 8, as Nina Williams is back and bringing what she does best to the game. That being an assassin that tries to kill with only close-quarters combat instead of the stealth and raged action normally known for that kind of person. I am not going to question much on what Bandai Namco is doing with the character here in that regard, but it is another of the classic Tekken characters coming back in for some solid fun. Lies Of P New gameplay for Lies Of P is here to try to show us what Lies Of P could look like in an 8K Resolution Get ready to see some new gameplay for Lies Of P that you most likely will not be able to see in the truest way out there. It is new in the fact that we get to see some new locations, enemies, and moves from Round8 Studio for the game, but it is also listed as new as it is trying to leverage the power of the Radeon RX 7900 to give us an 8K resolution experience. Something that we cannot truly show with the limitations of video embedding, but it is there. Also, it will be there for Lies Of P if you have the aforementioned hardware and a monitor that can also output the display quality it is offering up. Read More...

Tekken More story and gameplay for Tekken 8 are here so we can further get ready for the world of Tekken to change again Things are going to get a little explosive in Tekken 8 if we are going to base anything on the latest story and gameplay we have here. A new bit of story that places us at one of the more violent of family reunions out there that will be bringing up more grudges again and carrying them on to a new generation. That way Bandai Namco can keep giving us more and more for Tekken and not have to deviate to a place where fans will freak out on them. Lies Of P More gameplay for Lies Of P has been released with this new bit showing more of the supporting cast we will have in Lies Of P The gameplay keeps flowing out there for Lies Of P and we have a whole lot more of it fresh from Gamescom this year. It definitely looks like this Pinocchio story is going to be vastly different than many have thought of, but I guess that was the point when Round8 Studio set out to make this action Soulslike title. That or they wanted to just have some great callbacks to the original IP while giving us all a nice, dark, and gritty version of the tale. That is all something that they have in spades to show us for Lies Of P as we get more of the combat for the game, but also a little look at the various other characters that will be populating the game's world along the way.
