Final Fantasy XIII Countdown To What? So there is no solid news about what is going on at the Final Fantasy XIII site, but there is now a counter on the front page, and a button to register to be informed of what is going to happen when the counter hits zero. It is obviously not a count down to when the game is going to launch because the counter ends in roughly seven days. But it could be something awesome given all the stuff that has been hitting Japanese magazines lately. It is now OFFICIAL!  Square-Enix has confirmed that Chrono Trigger DS will be hitting the U.S. just in time for the 2008 holiday season.  Kotaku broke the story with the official press release.  It will incorporate the Dual Screen and Touchpad of the DS while keeping the integrity of the original game in tact.  They will also be adding on a brand new dungeon for the upcoming DS release. To anyone who has seen Ringu or the U.S. remake, The Ring, is familiar with having only 7 days to live after watching a videotape. Well Square Enix brings a new IP to the Nintendo DS, which replaces the tape with a note.  You play as a young college student whom receives a note, known as "The Game Of The Curse" along with friends that says you must pass this on to someone else or die within 7 days.  You don't take it seriously until one of your friends dies in a tragic death after receiving the same note.  Now you must try and figure out the curse as you are approaching your turn to die. Pre-Register with Squenix Members This is for all you die hard Squenix fans. Looks like they are opening up their Member program in the States next week. On the 24th to be exact. As of right now, they are letting those in the know to register their names and accounts to this service. Kind of to let those fans get first crack at their Usernames and such before it goes fully live.
