A New Story DLC Pack Has Been Announced For The Last Of Us Titled Left Behind. Check Out The Trailer If you have not played The Last Of Us yet or at least made it about half way through I would recommend not reading much more or even watching the clip below as it does link up to one of my favorite parts of Ellie's past. That part being where she talks about how she survived with her friend only to have her friend get infected and forcing Ellie to go solo. I'll fully admit that when I first saw The Last Of Us back in December of 2011 I was impressed with the visuals but not really the setting or enemies. I believe I harshed on it being another post-apocalypse title trying to cash in on the 'end of the world' scenario that is still kind of all the rage. Up until recently the story of The Last Of Us has been a little bit on the generic "post outbreak apocalypse" side of things. The basics as well. There was a fungus that mutated most of the world into crazed, facial-athletes foot looking, beat-up-the-normies kind of beasts. Then there is Joel and Ellie trying to survive a bit longer while being hunted by both the fungi-people and all the humans who turn to filth because they can. I'll be honest; I have not been overly excited about The Last Of Us. Go ahead and read any of my stuff on the game. With the past trailers and screens it really just feels like another post apocalypse game. To go further, it feels like Naughty Dog has paid off other sites and journalists to hype the game more than they should. So it looks like Naughty Dog is working on another new IP to try and move away from being stuck in the "We make Uncharted and Jax" slump they've been in for the decade. I mean really who wants to be known for making those games right? I jest and am happy to hear that the studio is going to try something new for themselves and move away from churning out sequels.
