Below we have the first of the Developer videos to come out surrounding specifically 'The Infected.' By now we all know that it is not a zombie kind of infection that has wiped out humanity in the game's world but a weird fungus. In the following video clip we get a better look at what this fungus is all about. This includes everything from the first concept on what to make the creatures to a bit of how they act/react in The Last Of Us.

I do have to say that the clip has finally made my initial disposition toward The Last Of Us completely flip. I completely love the extrapolation of a real world fungus into the game. Not to mention the care that they took to give the fungus a bit of a personality that will most likely not be a focus in the game, but it will add to the over immersion and lore.
