I'm not one for re-makes or "re-imagining" when it comes to video games. I think that it shows a lack of innovation in the industry when developers should really be pushing forward. It is how I feel and there won't be much changing of my mind in this area. So you could only imagine how I felt when I heard that Just Add Water was "upgrading" Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath to be a whole new HD version. Why "upgrade" instead of make something new for the developer? Now that I have that out of the way, just like when God Of War got the HD treatment, I see why they chose to do this six years later. Just about six years in the waiting, PlayStation owners will finally get their chance to play Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Not only play it, but play it the way we are told it should have been played all along: with 720p graphics and PlayStation Move support. Just the way I expected to play the game back in 2005 when Oddworld Inhabitants brought it to market on the XBox. I loved Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. I would probably love a collector's edition like the God of War Collection of all of the Oddworld Inhabitants titles, but that is a dream I would assume is way off in the future. Read More...
