It has been a little over six years since the first Silent Hill film hit the screen and a lot of us have been clamoring for a sequel, myself included. It has been one of the best video game franchises to move over into film and at this year's San Diego Comic Con we were given a look at a bit from the sequel, Silent Hill: Revelations. Konami Pre-E3 Conference Recap

Alright with E3 right around the corner, Konami took it upon themselves to have their 2nd annual "Pre-E3 Press Conference" which started off slow with some social game updates and news. Is Silent Hill Downpour Going To Have Child Abuse Now?

Most likely not, unless the new trailer for Silent Hill: Downpour from Tokyo Game Show 2011 is sending hidden messages other mixed in with the new visuals and little bit of story. They did just use Korn here and while the music adds a bit of creep to the whole thing, it is an interesting choice given the music the band started out with. While their themes would be a bit fitting for the town of Silent Hill, I think we are still a way off from Konami adding that into the mix. I could be wrong. Read More...

Comparing Silent Hill: Downpour To Alan Wake...

So I was trolling around the net, as I am want to do, and I stumbled across some interesting discussions surrounding Silent Hill: Downpour. Primarily people talking about how the latest screen shots, seen below, are very reminiscent to some of the visuals in Alan Wake. So close to the point where I have seen a few people state that Konami is just ripping off from the game. There is also some people trying to defend the fact that because it looks close it doesn't mean it is a rip off. I would say they are interesting points except for the fact that Alan Wake was almost a blatant rip off of a franchise that was around for years prior. Read More...

Looks Like Castlevania To Be Resurrected By DLC

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow came and went. It was a great addition to the franchise in my opinion but the replay on the game is almost nonexistent. Once you beat the main game and then clean up the challenges and Paladin play-through there really is not much more to do with the game. It just sits on the shelf collecting dust like all of tomes in the Vampire's castle. To make sure this isn't going to happen too long, it would seem that Konami is dishing out some DLC to give you more reason to head back. Read More...

Let's Look At Jigsaw's Drawing Board

Where does he get all those wonderful toys? Oh wait wrong franchise for that quote. But it still kind of fits for Jigsaw in the Saw film and video game franchises. Doesn't it? For those of you that don't know where he gets them let me spoil it for you. He makes them himself, unlike Batman. Just like any good builder, be it creative death traps or video game level design, it all has to start somewhere. That somewhere usually blueprints or conceptual art for the ultimate thing to slay audiences minds. So if you skip on below, after reading that is, you will see the new trailer for the next Silent Hill game nicely titled Silent Hill 8; at least the working title for now. This is what was shown to those in the horribly failed Konami Press event. At least as far as the presenters and a few titles go, it was failed. Jigsaw Wants To Know Your Breaking Point

After posting about what I saw and got to play at E3 for Saw II: Flesh And Blood, I'm sure that most of you were still sitting on the side of the fence with all the non Saw film lovers.
