Directive 8020 Offers A Better Look At The Character Played By Lashana Lynch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of March 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Meet the pilot we will follow in Directive 8020 with a new look at the character and interview with the performer bringing them to life in Directive 8020 It feels like with each new video we get for Directive 8020, we get to know more about the characters and the world. Even before Supermassive Games had to delay the release of it until May 12th. Given that it might have been a while since we first met Brianna Young, the pilot of the spaceship we will be surviving in, it might be time to get to know the character again. Who better to give us all of that information than the person who is bringing the character to life in Directive 8020? Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/23/26 — 2/27/26
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 28th of February 2026 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It is time to wrap up a fun little week we had here with all of the video games we had to look at. There were a lot of heavy hitters that had some updates, along with Resident Evil Requiem launching out there into the world. That would be some of the bigger news, but we have a release date for Marvel’s Wolverine to look at, that announcement of Stage Tour, and 007 First Light offering up another member of the cast for us to look at. Not to mention, so many smaller video games had some highlights as we head into the next month, and all that will bring us. Read More...

Directive 8020 Filters Out More Of The Deluxe Edition Extras We Will Get
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Directive 8020 will be getting some gameplay filters to play with, along with a few more extras in the Deluxe Edition of Directive 8020 If you were looking for more reasons to pick up the Deluxe Edition of Directive 8020 when it lands on May 12th, then you are little more in luck. It seems as if Supermassive Games is still slow-rolling out all of those updates to us, and now we have some extra gameplay filters we will be able to experience the whole game with. I am never quite sure why these are big things for gamers, but if you need to see the full experience of Directive 8020 in a classic VHS mode while running the game on your PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, then there will be an option for just that. This Week In Video Games 2/17/26 — 2/20/26
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of February 2026 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That puts another week in the bag around here, and one where we made it mostly through the week with so many video games in tow. Even if it did seem as if we had a few rough weeks in the past, we were back with Resident Evil Requiem, Silent Hill: Townfall, and a new John Wick Game to talk about to catch us all back up. That only scratches the surface of the video games we had to talk about this week, since we also had to play catch-up with Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 and 007 First Light after having so many things drop out there in the mix. Even though we had a slowdown, it feels like we are back up to speed. Read More...

The Dark Pictures Are Seeping Even Further Into The Horror Of Directive 8020
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 New pre-order bonuses for Directive 8020 are out there, along with an official release date for Directive 8020 It looks like we have a lot more fun for Directive 8020 on the way to us all if we are opting to pre-order the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. Well, fun might not be the best word to use there, unless you are huge on modding your character's fits and looks long the way. It seems that Supermassive Games has some new things in the mix that link us right back into The Dark Pictures if we so choose to throw down the money for Directive 8020 before May 12th. Oh yeah, that is now the official release date for the game, after all the delays and pushes we have had to endure up until now. Read More...

Step Into Some New Horror & Enter Into The 18th Attic
by Juliet Meyer [ Friday, 23rd of January 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
The 18th Attic The launch is here for The 18th Attic, and we all need to grab our kittens & cameras as we head up to The 18th Attic It may seem as if we had the release dates a bit off for The 18th Attic, as the day is now here. Not that we had it down as too far off, but maybe Steelkrill Studio had a chance to drop it a bit earlier than we thought on the PC. This is why we had to make sure we had the announcement that The 18th Attic has now launched out there up on the site. We wouldn't want any of you to miss out on this horror title that will have us hunting ghosts with a camera while also petting a kitty along the way. Read More...

Join Your Cat Soon When We Can Go Up Into The 18th Attic
by Juliet Meyer [ Thursday, 8th of January 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
The 18th Attic The release date for The 18th Attic is coming, and we have a little more to look at within The 18th Attic Get your PC warmed back up and ready for some extra kitten cuddles, as the release date for The 18th Attic is almost upon us. The game will be fully ready from Steelkrill Studio on February 2nd, just in case you need a new psychological horror title to play through for the month. I'm sorry to pull the rug out on you if that intro made you think this was some kind of cozy cat petting title, but The 18th Attic does have some of that in there to go with the horror. In fact, all of that is based on the real-life cat from the developer. Read More...

The Investigation Starts Soo With The Release For Detective: Rainy Night
by Juliet Meyer [ Tuesday, 11th of November 2025 - 10:00 PM ]
Detective Become a new Detective in the virtual worlds, with the release date set down for Detective: Rainy Night This holiday season is going to get a little more rainy, and a little more mysterious, with the release date for Detective: Rainy Night. Another of the indie titles that JanduSoft is helping to bring to the various markets and to help smaller teams of developers actually get seen out there in the wild. They may not all be massive hits, but someone has to help see that we all might get to experience the next big sleeper hit that the big publishers didn't have any faith in. Such is the case for Detective: Rainy Night, which has been worked on for a while now, and we will see it land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC on December 4th of this year. Read More...

Directive 8020 Brings Us Face-To-Face With Death & RTX On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of October 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 A new look at Directive 8020 is out there to give us all a better look at the visuals Directive 8020 might have when it launches out there Well, it is Halloween, which means we are getting all of the spooky game updates today, and here we go with another that will not be launching until 2026 with Directive 8020. A title that we should have been able to play by now, originally, but Supermassive Games needed more time to perfect it for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not a terrible thing, and maybe it will give us all some fun extras in the mix to enjoy. Read More...

by Jana Lass [ Thursday, 16th of October 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 A new little slice of Directive 8020 gameplay is here, and we can get a better feel for the non-dialog gameplay for Directive 8020 Even though we are not getting Directive 8020 for Halloween as originally planned, it does look as if we are getting something to take in for the game during the season and to keep us all going until 2026 when it is slated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not that Supermassive Games wasn't already busy dropping out other titles for us during the season already, but that is a different topic. For now, we will have a look at the fun little tease that we have for Directive 8020, with some exclusive gameplay out there just in time to add some Sci-Fi horror into the season. Read More...

Head A Little Behind The Scenes After Gamescom For Directive 8020
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 5th of September 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 Take a walk around the setting of Directive 8020 as it was all shown off during Gamescom, and see why we need to wait longer for Directive 8020 Even though Gamescom has come and gone for this year, we are still getting some new looks at things that went down during the event. Specifically, some look at things that we would only have had a chance to experience if we were on-site, with the latest for Directive 8020. We do need something to help take away the sting that Supermassive Games had to push the release out to 2026. Not only that, but also a solid look at some of the other bits that were behind the scenes for Directive 8020, and what they tried to dazzle the crowds with out there. Read More...

Directive 8020 Offers A Prologue As We Have To Wait Longer For The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Directive 8020 New gameplay for Directive 8020 is here from Gamescom, while we have a slight delay for Directive 8020 now I do hope that you did not have your heart set on getting to experience Directive 8020 this coming October, as it looks like there is now a bit of a delay for the game. One that is going to push it into 2026 for an unnamed release date now. That is part of the news that crawled out of Gamescom 2025 and was a little overshadowed by other things. Maybe a good call for Supermassive Games to do that, but worth noting for those who were looking for more horror on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/16/25 — 6/20/25
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of June 2025 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week What a week we just had, and there were still so many video games we have yet to get to after all of the reveals and updates. It is starting to remind me of the good old days when E3 was a thing and the major outlets did not go out of their way to help that crumble. Then more of us would have a chance to see Cronos: The New Dawn and Gears Of War: Reloaded live and in person more. Even more for Ninja Gaiden 4 and Hades II as well, but that is how the world works when it comes to our video games. Read More...
