Tekken 8 Is Getting More Capoeira Style With Eddy Gordo

Tekken

The next fighter for Tekken 8 is dancing in soon with Eddy Gordo coming back in for the big Tekken fight

The season of content is making its move out there for Tekken 8 with Eddy Gordo joining the ranks very soon. In fact, we can look for this fighter to head on back on April 5th as Bandai Namco puts a few of the last minute touches onto it all and we see the dance fighting back in the mix. That and one more of the classic Tekken fighters back and expanding all of our bits of style out there. That is, as long as you have the game already on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. If not, then you are going to miss a little bit of the style and flow Eddy is truly known for.

Fans of Tekken will already know the story of Eddy Gordo as well as the impressive legwork he is known for out there. He does use the form of Capoeira as both a defense and attack in these fights. it also seems like Eddy has some extra powerful moves in the mix too so he is not left behind all of the other Tekken 8 fighters. That whole Devil gene thing and all of the other mystical stuff that would leave the basic humans in the dust. That does not mean that Eddy does not have some sick moves to pull off. Sick moves which you can see in the latest gameplay footage for the character as we wait the next few days to be able to download him into our game.

Tekken 8 — Eddy Gordo Gameplay

Think you got the moves? Let’s dance. Eddy Gordo the Indomitable Flash is ready to do some legwork in Tekken 8 on April 5!

Available in early access on April 1 at 16:00 PDT for Playable Character Year 1 Pass holders.

In the past Tekken titles, I do have to say that Eddy was one of my go-to fighters in the mix. I always loved the sway, the ebb, and flow. It was a little upsetting to see that he was not in the core rosters, but I am super excited to see we are getting him back. I am still a little iffy on the extra bits they have piled on just for Tekken 8, but it has to fit the story and the gameplay so he isn't a weak character. I just feel as if they keep stacking things up not realizing that there is going to be a height of things that we are not going to be ready to go to out there. You cannot always one-up yourself just for the sake of it and expect the same quality each time.

Are you ready to have Eddy in the mix for Tekken 8 or did you want a different fighter to drop on us? Did you love the dance fighting from before or will this version be the one that pulls you in? When will we see the top of all of this and will the game be able to make sure it stays fun the entire time? Head to the comments section to fight it all out and let us know what you are thinking about it all. There is more to come for Tekken 8, and we will share all of it as we get more to offer. Please keep on checking back in for all of those updates and the many others we have in the works on the site.
