A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. In the wake of PAX East it is no surprise that there was a lack of any new news in the gaming world. We have been able to scrape a bit on Batman: Arkham Knight and Alien Isolation but it has really been the smaller independent titles and hands on that have kept thing flowing here. We also had a few new game announcements, rumors, studio layoffs, and a review mixed in but I think the newer Economic PC Gaming tutorial build have had to have been one of the shining lights here. Another wave of in-game screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight have hit the web. Some old, but mostly new. I think the headline here kind of says it all about this new batch of Batman: Arkham Knight screen shots. We have quite a few new visuals for the game and some old sans the watermarks that were forced due to Warner Bros. giving other sites 'exclusive' content. New details and screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight. Also details on Arkham Knight, the new character for the Batman universe. If you are like me then when you heard about Batman: Arkham Knight you thought that it was just a fun little subtitle for the game. Up until now it was easy to just make that logic leap given all of the other subtitles for the Rocksteady franchise. I think that is why it was a bit shocking and surprising to find out that the Arkham Knight mentioned is a completely new "villain" for the Batman universe. Batman Arkham Knight has just been fully announced and is back in the hands of Rocksteady. Not to mention next gen and PC only. So this was unexpected today. Batman Arkham Knight has been announced from Warner Bros. and Rocksteady. Yes, you read that. Rocksteady and not Warner Bros. Games Montréal where I thought the franchise had moved on to slowly piddle out as did most others I know who were not impressed with Arkham Origins. I guess it looks like Warner Bros. just wanted another title, or two, to come out while Rocksteady worked on bring the franchise to the next gen platforms. Read More...
