Microsoft Opening XBL For Users To Create Own Games
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 10:46 PM ]
Think you have what it takes to build your own game for Xbox Live, and can do better than what is out there now?  Well now you can, as Microsoft has announced that XNA Game Studio software will be made available to gamers who yearn to create their own video games.  Micorsoft already had a trial run of the XNA Creators Club games earlier this year which featured "Little Gamers", "Culture", "Jellycar", "The Dishwasher" and others.  MS has plans to introduce the XBox Live Community Games this holiday season to XBL Marketplace. Microsoft unveiled in their plan that you will be able to have your games added to the XBL Marketplace, for a price of 200 to 800 points, after passing a peer review, as well as take home a cut of the total revenue the game makes, which MS claims to be up to 70% in a form of a quarterly check. Zombie Plan 101
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 05:42 PM ]
The Last Guy Gameplay Video So at last week's E3 show, Sony announced a game called *The Last Guy. Pretty much a game a lot like Infected on the PSP. You run around and save people who are too stupid to save themselves and guide them to a secure location for evacuation. Good concept. Worked for me in the past. But then add on the fact they are going to be using Google Maps for the actual locations to guide people. So real locations will be used. Read More…

by Robert [ Saturday, 19th of July 2008 - 07:57 PM ]
Coming April 10, 2009 is 20th Century Fox's Dragonball, a live action movie featuring Justin Chatwin as Goku. HolyCinema has posted a few pictures of the set online, the first to be revealed. Clicky here to see the picturez.I'm pretty pumped for this movie, even though the actors seem a little lame. The movie is written and directed by James Wong. Plot summary from IMDb The story begins with a young humanoid boy named Goku, who discovers that he was sent to Earth to blend in and destroy our population but instead elects to protect it from an oncoming alien onslaught bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects. WoW! Achievements!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2008 - 10:06 PM ]
The Achievements Window Ok, so the title wasn't as awesome as I would have liked, but I'm running off no sleep from watching Dark Knight last night and working today. Hence why I haven't been my normal reporty self. But that's not what you clicked in for. It would seem that the rumors from before about achievements with the new expansion for World of Warcraft are true. There is a new achievement setup that is also coming with the Death Knights. Things like "50 Quests Completed" and making it to "Level 10" will get you some of the achievements for the game. Read More…

New COD4 Game Modes?
by Robert [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 08:50 PM ]
402 announced a few days ago that this weekend IW will be testing out new game modes... none of them are very creative like 402 was hinting towards.   Bare-Bones Team Deathmatch No more excuses. No more blaming Martyrdom or Juggernaut for your lack of skills and kills. Bare Bones Team Deathmatch eliminates the excuses and takes it back to basics with standard Team Deathmatch with no perks, no kill streak rewards. Just you, your skill, and your weapons.   It has potential, a lot of people complain about perks (fucking juggernaught). Read More…

Two Words: Man Darts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 08:37 PM ]
Mad World E3 Trailer I know I talked about this game once before. It was only when there was a teaser for the game, but it looks like there is an even better trailer for the game that was shown at E3 this year. Like the title says, Man Darts! Watch the trailer and you will see what I mean. Now after this trailer, I am even more intrigued by the game. First it looks as blood, if not more, than No More Heroes. Great game. Read More…

Dead Will Be Rising On The Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Dead Rising Ports To The Wii Yes, you read that right. Well at least that is what I have been able to gather from a very broken translation of the Japanese magazine Famitsu. So if you were still waffling on buying an XBox to get this game, it will be out on the Wii. Should be good news for some people who will remain nameless, but they are on this site. Hopefully it will do as well as RE4 did when it ported over as well. Go Capcom. Read More…

From what I was getting about this conference, it wasn't much on huge announcements, but showing off what is coming in the next 9 months. It is breath taking when you see it. I was trying to videos for you before I posted, so, here we go. Resistance II Like I said, not much to talk about for this one. They brought up the coop and multi player game stuff and that was it. What I Missed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2008 - 06:05 PM ]
So due to real life BS, I missed out on reporting a few new and cool things yesterday, so I am going to hook up the cut now. Gotta thank one of my favorite sites to keep things up to date for me when that shit happens. But enough about me, here's what you really want to read about. Halo Wars: Two New Clips So due out early next year, is the new Halo RTS. I'm sure you Halo fans have already eaten all of this stuff up. But below is a very nice looking, pre-rendered, video for the game giving a bit of the story the RTS will revolve around. Read More…

FFXIII coming to the Xbox (FINALLY)
by Andy [ Monday, 14th of July 2008 - 06:59 PM ]
After numerous reports that FFXIII would NOT be on the Xbox 360, it seems that they were all wrong. Finally Final Fantasy is coming to the Xbox 360, you may ask what this means? Well sorry Sony, it seems that your exclusive Final Fantasy franchise has come to an end. To top it all off, it will be released the same day as the PS3 version. Why I like this is because if for whatever reason the PS3 version sells out, I can at least get the Xbox version or vice versa. I also think this means that we are finally starting to see exclusives go out the window. Read More…
