E3 Hands-On — Darksiders Genesis
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Darksiders While at E3, I was able to see Darksiders Genesis in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Darksiders Genesis. Many of us before and during E3 were hoping to see a new Darksiders game come out and it was teased heavily before the event. It was also revealed by THQ Nordic that we were actually going to be getting another entry in the series from Airship Syndicate that would take us all down a different path for the gameplay. At least we have the final horseman to join us for this ride. Something I am looking forward to after having a bit of time with Darksiders Genesis and knowing there is still time to update and alter things that may not have flowed just right. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Borderlands 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of June 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Borderlands While at E3, I was able to see Borderlands 3 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Borderlands 3. One of the games out at E3 that always seemed to have the longest line to play had to be Borderlands 3. It makes total sense given the huge following and fandom of the franchise and also how quickly since the official announcement to launch Gearbox has brought the game. September 13th is not that far off and there is still so much to show for Borderlands 3 before we all get to play it on the PC, PS4, or Xbox One. It is a good thing that they had the game on display and playable out at E3 as it gave me a chance to actually try it out instead of just looking at fancy trailers. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Dying Light 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Dying Light While at E3, I was able to see Dying Light 2 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Dying Light 2. One of the many titles I have been amped for since last E3 has to be Dying Light 2. I have been a fan of the franchise and what Techland has done for the zombie video game for quite some time now. That is why I was over excited to get to see just where the game has progressed to since I last saw Dying Light 2 in 2018. It was quite impressive and vast undertaking they claimed to be doing and not it is time to see if they are keeping up their claims. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Psychonauts 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Psychonauts While at E3, I was able to see Psychonauts 2 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Psychonauts 2. Another game out at E3 that has had an interesting journey has to have been Psychonauts 2. Originally going for crowdfunding, then funded by another source, and now Double Fine has been brought into the Microsoft Studios family. None of which is all that important as there was little worry this game was going to be made after the initial funding goal was reached. Why we are here, though, is that the hard marketing push is out there and Psychonauts 2 was out at E3 this year to give us all a better look at just what we can expect and how the game may have changed from what we knew before. E3 Hands-On — Moons Of Madness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Moons Of Madness While at E3, I was able to see Moons Of Madness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Moons Of Madness. We are definitely in an era where the cosmic horror game and story is all the rage and we have another to add to the list out of E3 with Moons Of Madness. Sure, Rock Pocket Games did not announce the game during the event, that took place a lot earlier, but they were out there with Funcom to show off where the game was at as we get ever so closer to the October 31st release date for the game. Just the perfect time for the setting of Moons Of Madness and for all of those who get scared easily to stream to the world on their PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Werewolf While at E3, I was able to see Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood. It definitely looks like the World Of Darkness is having a great time with video games as of late as we have had so many shown off and updated on and also why I am here for Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Earthblood. This would be another of the IPs out there in the works, but one that we have known Cyanide Studio has been working on for a while now. So long that it has moved over to a different publisher, Bigben Interactive, but now is back with something more than basic concepts to show off. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Destroy All Humans!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Destroy All Humans While at E3, I was able to see Destroy All Humans! in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Destroy All Humans! One of the titles that was a slight surprise and one of the most requested out at E3 had to be the remake for Destroy All Humans!. Things were rumored out there way back when THQ Nordic picked up the IP and then we had an early announcement from Black Forest Games that they were remaking this game. I saw a whole lot of gamers get excited that Destroy All Humans! was coming back but still a bit hesitant that it would be a remaster and not a solid remake. Read More...

E3 Hands-On — Final Fantasy VII Remake
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 18th of June 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy While at E3, I was able to see Final Fantasy VII Remake in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Final Fantasy VII Remake. One of the bigger bits of news out of E3 this year had to come from Final Fantasy VII Remake as we had a release date and a few of the characters shown to us all during Square Enix's big media showcase. We know we can see the game hit the PS4 on March 3rd of next year and also had a chance to see Tifa and Aerith in action. Not to mention the fact that we had a nice chance to see the new battle system they are using for this outing of Final Fantasy VII in a better motion. Read More...

E3 2019 Impressions — Watch Dogs: Legion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Watch Dogs While at E3, I was able to see Watch Dogs: Legion in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Watch Dogs: Legion. It had to be one of the worst kept secrets leading up to E3 this year, but it was still nice to see the full announcement of Watch Dogs: Legion during the main event that Ubisoft held and then the various videos around the show floor. It is an interesting take they are going with for the game, as we will be able to play as anyone in Watch Dogs: Legion, but it could be a little difficult to get behind without having a look at it before it launches on March 6th of next year. I guess it is a good thing that I had a chance to do just that while on the show floor this year to give you all a better idea on what to expect on your PS4, Xbox One, and PC at launch. Read More...

Wolfenstein A bit more for Wolfenstein: Youngblood is here fresh from E3 to show off more of this Wolfenstein and the “Terror Twins” of the game It is time to have even more explosions and action for Wolfenstein: Youngblood as we had a whole lot of new footage come out of E3 this year. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed A new mode for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Story Creator Mode, is here and it will allow us to tell our own stories in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey As if there was not enough story in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, we now have a tool that will let us add more. Not in a way were Ubisoft will be specifically writing us more but in the way of a new update that will allow all of us to use their tools to create and publish our own stories in the game's world. Let me introduce you to the new Story Creator Mode that has hit Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for all players of the game right now. Yes, this is also a free thing for anyone playing on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One now and on until they shut the service down. Read More...

The Surge 2 Gets All Cinematic Out At E3 2019
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
The Surge A new cinematic trailer for The Surge 2 is here to give us one more feel for how The Surge 2 may play out The hype train is still rolling for The Surge 2 as we have another cinematic trailer to look at fresh out of E3. Sadly, you read that correctly as I did say cinematic and not actual gameplay. Something that feels like a misstep on Deck 13's side of things as this would be one of the times to try and highlight actual gameplay. You know, something that many of us have not been able to see for The Surge 2 yet. Read More...

The Fight Is Going To The Dogs In Samurai Shodown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Samurai Shodown The next character for Samurai Shodown is here and brings in a dog to help with the fight to bring down everyone in Samurai Shodown Not to be left out of the E3 fun, we have a new character for Samurai Shodown to take in and see just before launch. We are only a few weeks out from getting to play it on the Switch, PS4, or Xbox One and we still are fleshing out the roster. I do not even think we have moved into the DLC realm that SNK is working on for Samurai Shodown that will be free for those who pick the game up within the launch window. You do what you are going to do, but make sure not to miss out on anything that is in the works when it is all free. Read More...

The Gameplay Has Been Hunted Down For Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Bloodlines 2 The first real gameplay for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is finally here and we can see just how combat and dialog will work in Bloodlines 2 The teasing is finally over and we have some real gameplay for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 to look at to get us all ready for the game. Sure, we have seen some of it all in the past during the short trailers Hardsuit Labs has released out there, but now we have some true gameplay to take in. Before you scoff, this is more than the little bit that was shown during the PC Gaming event out at E3, but a nice and longer look at Bloodlines 2 with a bit of a mission or quest in the game. E3 2019 Impressions — Marvel’s Avengers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Avengers While at E3, I was able to see Marvel’s Avengers in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Marvel’s Avengers. The day is finally here and we had a nice new trailer and showing of Marvel’s Avengers during the big event that Square Enix held out at E3 this year. We all knew it was coming and it was a good taste of what the game was trying to bring to us all on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. This, of course, was only a small look at what Crystal Dynamics has done with the game so far. Read More...
