Vampyr Will Stalk The Darkness A Bit More As It Is Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of September 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr It looks like Vampyr has been given a delay due to a technical issue and now we can look for Vampyr to come to us sometime in Spring of 2018 Mark another title down for delay as Vampyr has been struck with just that and will be missing it release date that was supposed to be this year. There was never a specific date set down, but it looks like DontNod ran into an issue to the point that they had to push the release off to Spring of 2018. Another ambiguous date thrown out there for Vampyr, but it looks like we may have to wait as long as April of 2018 to finally see the game see the light of day on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I guess we can all focus on the fact that it has not been hit with a cancellation and just hope for the best. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions â Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr While at E3 2017 I was able to see Vampyr in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Vampyr From E3. We were all promised more for Vampyr at E3 this year and we were not let down. Even the bit that was shown off to the public out there was still a massive chunk of what DontNod has cooked up for us all. You can see some of that gameplay further down but it was only a small slice of what I was able to check out for Vampyr while on the show floor. While we may not have been able to pry out a solid release date in November for the game, Focus Home Interactive still has that on lock, we did get to see a lot more for this open-world horror title coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC where all of your killing choices in the game will have some form of effect on the rest of the world. E3 2017 Impressions â Call Of Cthulhu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu While at E3 I was able to see Call Of Cthulhu in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Call Of Cthulhu. There was a small list of titles at E3 that I desperately wanted to go hands on with at E3 and Call Of Cthulhu was one of those titles. I was so ever hopefully that Cyanide Studios would have had a nice little slice of the game out there to be played on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC but sadly it was not. That is not to say that Focus Home Interactive didn't put together a nice booth and experience for Call Of Cthulhu though and that in turn led to a lot of new information and details for the gameplay and scope of the game to finally get out there. I wish I could show you more gameplay than what we had for the public out at E3, but for now here's what we have for it all as well as more on the ins and outs of the game. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions â A Plague Tale: Innocence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of June 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale While at E3 I was able to see A Plague Tale: Innocence in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on A Plague Tale: Innocence When you hear something like A Plague Tale: Innocence you instantly think of just an illness and maybe some innocent seeming people being affected by said illness. I know that is what I thought when I first heard about Asobo Studio's new title coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I won't lie, originally this wasn't much on my radar but Focus Home Interactive had me on over to have a look at a bit of the game here at E3 and it is a bit more that what I mentioned before. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of June 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Vampyr Check out more of the locations for Vampyr in the E3 trailer as well as see Vampyr's Ascalon Club in action before the new release date It's time to start the fun for E3 here as the new basic trailers for games are starting to flow and here we go with Vampyr and its latest trailer to have a look at just before a huge showing on the floor out there next week. I have been excited for DontNod to bring us more for this game for some time now and am glad to see that we have a nice long trailer to look at here. If only it was more gameplay for Vampyr and less flying around to show off some of the world in the game. Read More...

Review â The Surge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge We sit down and review The Surge. It's almost like a Sci-Fi version of Dark Souls with other risks involved. Here's our review of The Surge Just as its name, The Surge popped into our lives and then was out for us to play in short order. That's not to say that Deck 13 didn't put in the effort to make it a great game, but we first caught wind of it not too long ago and now here we are giving it a review. Of course, Focus Home Interactive does have a lot of titles in the pipe currently and during the lead up to The Surge finally being released so maybe that is why we had what felt like a rush from announce to release. We aren't here for all that speculation though. Read More...

We Can All Make A Difference When The Surge Launches
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
The Surge With The Surge just about to launch we get a new cinematic trailer for The Surge as well as a look at one of the boss fights in the game We are almost here as The Surge launches next week on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It has been a fun ride so far with a lot of questions still needing answers from Deck 13, but now that we are a few days away it seems like a moot point as we'll be able to answer them all for ourselves here. Of course that doesn't help with the whole figuring out our thoughts on The Surge before it launches, but I am sure that Focus Home Interactive would rather us just take the plunge and hope for the best instead of knowing everything and opting to possibly not picking up the game. I'm not suggesting it one way or another, so please don't think that, but it is how it is. Read More...

Space Hulk: Deathwing Is Getting An Enhanced Edition For Consoles In Q4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Space Hulk While Space Hulk: Deathwing may have released on PCs already, the wait for the console version of Space Hulk: Deathwing continues but will be getting big enhancements Since Space Hulk: Deathwing launched near the end of last year on the PC it has been met with a few mixed reviews but still seems to be holding strong with the core fans of the universe. Something I am going to guess is to the pleasure of Streum On Studio as they are still working on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game so that even more fans can have access to it. I was under the assumption a while ago that Space Hulk: Deathwing was going to hit all platforms at the same time and was a bit let down that it missed the mark. Read More...

Go Behind The Scenes With The Surge & Learn More Of The World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
The Surge A behind the scenes video for The Surge has been released and it gives us more insight into all of the things going on in The Surge that we've questioned In just under two weeks we will be playing The Surge on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC depending on your choice. While we've seen a lot for this action-RPG title so far, I know I've been left with quite a few questions that have been left unanswered by Deck 13 in a few different arenas. One of them being the main focus of The Surge's combat in terms of the limb severing system. It's been mentioned so many times and "shown" just as often but for the life of me I have yet to figure it out based on what we've been given. Read More...

Let's Dive Into Some Great Combat For The Surge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge We have more gameplay for The Surge and this also gives us all some more of the combat for The Surge just a bit before the game's launch Here we go with more combat for The Surge to get us all ready for its release on May 16th. This is something we've seen a whole lot of over the last few months and weeks as Deck 13 has been showcasing one of the bigger features in the limb severing system they have in the game to make everything insanely deadly. That is at least one of the goals here for The Surge and hopefully it will make more sense when we get the game in our hands as I am still a bit confused on if it is a targeting system or just the luck of the draw kind of system based on where you hit. I'm going to bank on the latter here for now based on what we have here. Read More...

The Surge Has Gone Gold & Getting Some Day One Updates
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge It is official that The Surge has hit gold status and it also looks like The Surge will be getting some PS4 Pro updates at launch and soon after I could have sworn this was news before but none the less it looks like The Surge has officially gone to gold status for us all. Pretty much locking in the release date that we have been given before from Deck 13 for the game, but now there is no take backs. It is set and final and now we can all sit back and wait for The Surge to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16th. It's done, set, and getting ready to be packaged up and shipped out. Read More...

The Surge Is Letting Us Target Some Limbs & Then Take The Spoils
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of April 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge The limb cutting mechanic for The Surge has a new trailer to try and show it off as well as the loot and crafting system that The Surge will employ Here we go with yet another video for The Surge and this time it is slated toward a mechanic I have been trying to wrap my head around in the game. Deck 13 has stated that there is a limb cutting mechanic in the game and has shown it off a few times before. From what I've seen in the past for The Surge it looks like just how it sounds as limbs do come off when hit, but what I have yet to understand is just how we do this without just flailing wild and hoping for the best. Review â Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx We sit down and review Styx: Shards Of Darkness. The goblin is back and there is even more to steal & kill. Here's our review of Styx: Shards Of Darkness Styx is finally back and doing what he does best in Styx: Shards Of Darkness; stealing and killing. It's been a long wait since he was the Master Of Shadows and brought his fun to the screen but Cyanide Studios didn't want the little guy falling into the darkness of obscurity and brought us yet another experience through the eyes of the thieving goblin. Hopefully learning from any mistakes and adding in just enough new items to make the game feel the same but enough to warrant the extra funds that Focus Home Interactive doled out for the game. None the less, here's our review on Styx: Shards Of Darkness and just how the game did in our eyes. Read More...

Be Stronger, Faster, & Tougher As The Surge Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
The Surge The final release date for The Surge has been set and with it we have another fun CG video for The Surge to celebrate and get us amped up even more It looks like today is the day that we change The Surge's May release date into a solid May 16th release date as it has now been set for us. This was about when I figured that Deck 13 would be looking to release the game, but now it is confirmed and those waiting to give it a good play can now try to shuffle their schedules around to fit it in. There are already a few other great titles listed as launching on the same day, but all in different gameplay styles than The Surge so now you will have options and yet another title to put in when you need to break up the flow or monotony of the others out there. Styx: Shards Of Darkness Now Lets You Kill With A Buddy Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of March 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Styx It looks like Styx will be getting another buddy in Styx: Shards Of Darkness and this time it is one of your real-world friends The wait for Styx: Shards Of Darkness is finally over as the game finally comes to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 14th. That's not exactly why we are here though as not only is Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive bringing the game to us but they are also bringing in the ability to play the game with a friend. Not the friend that we've seen already for Styx in terms of his clone but we are getting Co-Op game play in Shards Of Darkness. As if setting up all of our kills solo wasn't going to be fun enough but now we can do it with any of our friends who also enjoy slaying with this little goblin. Read More...
