E3 2018 Impressions — Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Control While at E3, I was able to see Control in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Control. Another of the interesting titles that we saw get the reveal out at this year's E3 was Control from Remedy. It came at us all with a weird and unusual trailer, as was to be expected, and made a huge splash during the Sony conference where 505 Games opted to show it all off to the world. Maybe to hit home that their game was going to be on all platforms here or just the right place to unleash Control to the world. Either way, it was announced and slated to hit us in 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It has been another great week and there has been a lot of video games to go over since E3 2018 ended. We still have even more that we have to talk about and bring to you next week, so hopefully you are not tired of it all just yet. How could you be with the great look at Cyberpunk 2077 we all had, the expansion of news for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and a deeper look at Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Of course, not to discount the other video games out there like Mutant Year Zero and such. Read More...

E3 Hands On — Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus While at E3, I was able to see Metro Exodus in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Metro Exodus. After all the plagues of delays, I was finally able to get my hands on Metro Exodus this year out at E3 and see how the game has advanced over its predecessors. Sure, we have seen quite a few interesting trailers in the past and a few tech demos where 4A Games has shown off the game's engine, but graphics do not make a game. It makes it look pretty and in a game like Metro Exodus it helps with the immersion, but it is not the sole reason to give the game a chance. Read More...

Have A Taste Of What You Missed For Spider-Man Out Of E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Spider-Man There was more for Spider-Man shown out of E3 that you may have missed but we have more Spider-Man gameplay just for you As we all knew, there was going to be a whole lot of new footage and information out of E3 for Spider-Man this year. It is one of the last big pushes for the game that Insomniac Games has to do before launch for the game and we had plenty of warning before this event. None of that still seemed to be enough to prepare us for what was coming for Spider-Man here. There was a whole lot shown during the official media showcase, but there was also a whole lot shown on the floor if you took the time to stand in line and give it all a chance. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/4/18 — 6/8/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This has totally been a week of video games to lead up to this year's E3. It could have been something that could have been extremely slow, but it looks like everyone out there was down to give us all a whole lot before the show. We had a nice release date for Days Gone dropped on us, a whole lot for two video games in The Walking Dead franchise, and a new Hitman title on the way. Most of which coming before the end of the year and having a lot of things to show off on the floor out there at E3. Read More...

The First Bit Of Gameplay For Fear The Wolves Is Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Fear The Wolves Just ahead of E3, we have the first bit of gameplay for Fear The Wolves to look at and see how the large battle royale matches of Fear The Wolves will play out We have had nothing but text and still images for Fear The Wolves before and now is the time we get to finally see the game in action. Yes, it looks like Vostok Games has put together a bit of gameplay to show us what a typical match could be like; at least in the game's current form. Fear The Wolves is a versus 99 and the world battle royale title after all so we should know how that all goes by now. Read More...

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Gets Really Dark With A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The release date for The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been set and we will see how Clementine's story will wrap in The Walking Dead universe Get those tears ready as The Walking Dead: The Final Season has a release date set for the first episode now and now we can see how it will all end on August 14th. At least see how Clementine's story will end in the franchise, so that could mean that Telltale Games could technically keep the IP going but I have a feeling that this will be the end of it all. This, of course, does not sound like things will go to well for the character as this is The Walking Dead and stories almost always come to a close with the character's horrible death. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/29/18 — 6/1/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week I have a feeling that will be the last easy week for video games for the next month or so as we are now in the E3 pond and waiting. We had a few things leak out there or get the full announcement this week. I am sure that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was supposed to be one of those video games, but at least we also had a nice announcement with Fallout 76 in the mix. That and a date to look for Mega Man 11 on and our review of the second episode of The Council. Read More...

We Happy Few Is Here To Show More Of Its Own Duality
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
We Happy Few The PrE3 trailer for We Happy Few is here and it shows that We Happy Few is still on its way after the many delays it has been hit with We finally have more to look at for We Happy Few here just before E3. It, like many other videos we will have before the event, is not too much in terms of anything new or mind-breaking for the game. No, it is more in the line of a reminder that Compulsion Games is still working on it and will have more to show at the event directly. At least it is safe to think that as it is only about fifty-seconds of gameplay for We Happy Few that we have here and it would be a bit of a waste to give us all just this and then nothing at one of the larger events of the year.
