This Week In Video Games 2/5/18 â 2/9/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of February 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more solid week in video games that we had to cover here. So many announcements out there for new games and some coming real soon. I know I was shocked to hear about The Surge 2 so soon and I will always take more story for God Of War as we had here this week. We also received the release date for Vampyr after waiting for so long. All of that and two more gods for Nightmarchers were shown off to get us all ready for that game as well. Read More...

More Stories From The Dark Are Here For Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of February 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Vampyr The fourth and final behind the scenes video for Vampyr is here and with it comes a look at the storytelling process of the game as well as the release date for Vampyr The final "episode" of the behind the scenes videos for Vampyr is here and with it comes a bit of a nice treat. It is something that we all figured Focus Home Interactive would do now that we are coming to a wrap on all of this, and all those assumptions were correct. That being the release date for Vampyr finally getting revealed for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It makes sense as this seems to be the end of the big push for the video game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/29/18 â 2/2/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of February 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week in the bag and a whole lot going on for all of our video games yet again. Also a lot more on the positive side of the coin this week and not as many sad points. Sure, Red Dead Redemption 2 is now delayed until October of this year, but that does not take away from the fact that we have so many other things going on. Like the fact that Extinction now has a set date and some great pre-order bonuses or that we had some great new DLC drop for Wolfenstein II. Read More...

We May Be More Human Than We Though After All In Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of February 2018 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr The third of the behind the scenes videos for Vampyr is out there now and this one gives us a bit more on the human element we will have to tussle within Vampyr Here we go with just a bit more for Vampyr as the third episode of the behind the scenes series is out there now and showing us a bit more on how Jonathan will still be human after he is turned. DontNod has been pretty forthcoming with the fact that every NPC in the game will have some kind of meaning and each death will have its toll on the overall story. That is why it does not come as much of a surprise that this is the focus again for Vampyr here but with a few new bits of gameplay and interesting facts about the "human" element we are going to experience in the game. Meet The Architects Of The Obscure For The Upcoming Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of January 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Vampyr The second episode of Vampyr's behind the scenes series is out now and this one takes us deeper into the areas of Vampyr's London and the music for the game The next episode of Vampyr's new video series is here and it is here to take us deeper into the world's areas and districts as well as some of the sound design. We have seen some of this in the past from DontNod and have been given some of the explanations, but here we go with a bit more. A nice look at the four different districts Vampyr will house and have us doing all the vampiric stuff that we are going to do. Read More...

Here Is How To Make A Monster In The Upcoming Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of January 2018 - 01:00 PM ]
Vampyr The first behind the scenes video for Vampyr is out and it gives some great insight on how they made their monsters in Vampyr Here we go with the first behind the scenes video for Vampyr and to kick it all off it is one that shows off just how the monsters of the game were made. I am not talking just about the monsters that will be out there stalking the world and causing us issues, but also how DontNod created the vampiric society and different "classes" of the vampires. Also how the protagonist of Vampyr has been altered over time and by the events of the game as well. At least to start out as I am sure we will need to wait until this Spring to see the exact reasons when the game lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

It Is Time To Go Deeper Into The Coffin With Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of January 2018 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr A new video series for Vampyr is on its way to take us deeper into the game as well as show off some new gameplay for Vampyr as we loom toward its launch It has been some time since we last heard anything on Vampyr and how that was all going. In fact, last we all heard DontNod had to place some delays on the game until sometime this year as they wanted to make sure it was the best version of the game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC when it finally does come. Sadly, there is not much more on Vampyr as of yet but it looks like in the coming weeks we will know a lot more. If my senses are correct, it could also mean that we will have a release date coming just as quickly as well. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of November 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with another great week of video games in the bag and so much more to go on with. Even as we head into the "big lull" where everyone is just playing what they currently have or are waiting for titles that we will not see until next year, we had a good chunk of news and updates to cover. We even had a chance to get our review of Horizon Zero Dawn's latest expansion out there for you. All while enjoying what we have for Injustice 2, Far Cry 5, and Final Fantasy XV in the mix. Do Not Expect Vampyr To Bleed Your Wallet With DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of November 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr In a recent interview for Vampyr, it was revealed that the team does not want to do any DLC for Vampyr but plan for a sequel based on sales In a recent interview for DontNod's upcoming Vampyr, a few interesting things for the game were revealed but sadly still no solid release date for the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. It is still set for "early 2018" and I am going to venture a guess around E3 or so. Nonetheless, there were some interesting facts about Vampyr that did come to light outside of when Focus Home Interactive will deem it a full success or not. Read More...

Vampyr Will Stalk The Darkness A Bit More As It Is Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of September 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr It looks like Vampyr has been given a delay due to a technical issue and now we can look for Vampyr to come to us sometime in Spring of 2018 Mark another title down for delay as Vampyr has been struck with just that and will be missing it release date that was supposed to be this year. There was never a specific date set down, but it looks like DontNod ran into an issue to the point that they had to push the release off to Spring of 2018. Another ambiguous date thrown out there for Vampyr, but it looks like we may have to wait as long as April of 2018 to finally see the game see the light of day on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I guess we can all focus on the fact that it has not been hit with a cancellation and just hope for the best. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/19/17 â 6/23/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was one jam packed week of news and updates for all of our video games now wasn't it? Of course it was. It was the week after E3 and there was still so much more to talk about before sticking a fork in it all until next year or the next big event in the industry. We did get to Call Of Cthulhu, Vampyr, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse to name a few but we also had a chance to bring more to you for Hunt: Showdown. That was all the stuff out of E3 directly too and there were so many more video games to look at and think about. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions â Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr While at E3 2017 I was able to see Vampyr in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Vampyr From E3. We were all promised more for Vampyr at E3 this year and we were not let down. Even the bit that was shown off to the public out there was still a massive chunk of what DontNod has cooked up for us all. You can see some of that gameplay further down but it was only a small slice of what I was able to check out for Vampyr while on the show floor. While we may not have been able to pry out a solid release date in November for the game, Focus Home Interactive still has that on lock, we did get to see a lot more for this open-world horror title coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC where all of your killing choices in the game will have some form of effect on the rest of the world. Become A Club Member Of Vampyr's The Ascalon Club In The E3 Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of June 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Vampyr Check out more of the locations for Vampyr in the E3 trailer as well as see Vampyr's Ascalon Club in action before the new release date It's time to start the fun for E3 here as the new basic trailers for games are starting to flow and here we go with Vampyr and its latest trailer to have a look at just before a huge showing on the floor out there next week. I have been excited for DontNod to bring us more for this game for some time now and am glad to see that we have a nice long trailer to look at here. If only it was more gameplay for Vampyr and less flying around to show off some of the world in the game. Read More...

There Is Always A Price When Embracing The Darkness Within For Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of December 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr A new trailer for Vampyr has been released and it lets us have a look at Vampyr's story in a way that shows how the world is always changing with our actions It seems like it is a bit out of place given the time right now, but none the less, we have a new trailer for Vampyr to gaze upon. This of course being the most recent title that Dontnod is cooking up for us. You know, the vampire one that takes place during the Spanish Flu epidemic. The one where we are a doctor during those times who has also been just recently turned Vampyr. Read More...

Let's Sink Our Teeth Into Vampyr's Combat & Upgrading System
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Vampyr A few new screenshots for Vampyr have been released and with those come a few updates on how combat in Vampyr will actually work We've seen the combat in Vampyr a bit in motion already but there wasn't any real explanation on how it all plays or why we need to do anything other than the amazing supernatural attacks that we've seen Jonathan do. I think this is part and partial to Dontnod not really showing much of the game since it was officially announced but also, as I am sure, Focus Home Interactive wanted them to hold off so they could hype the game a bit more. Thankfully that hype is on us right now as we have a better explanation on just how Vampyr's combat system is going to work and mix into the core game in general. Read More...
