Escape From Playtime
The launch of Escape From Playtime in Early Access is finally here, so take your friends into the horrors of Escape From Playtime
It's time to gather up your friends and see who is going to be able to Escape From Playtime. The Early Access for the title is finally ready for PC, and Mob Entertainment is ready for us all to hop in and help shape how the game is going to flow out there. If anything, it will be to help test the basic mechanics and see if the server loads will be able to handle the 1 to 8 players in each match as they try to make their way to the end. Even if there is a push to also take out your fellow players in Escape From Playtime while trying to escape the horrors of Poppy Playtime in this spin-off. If that catches your eye, then buckle up for a wild ride that will take us on through many of the horrors and give us something else to experience this Halloween.
If you've done any of the Early Access stuff before, you'll know the drill when it comes to Escape From Playtime. This won't be the full game to experience, but little chunks of the gameplay loop so the team can test it out, and we also have a chance to see how things are going. Given that this is a co-op survival horror extraction title, that does leave room open for weird things to happen while playing the game. Even more so when you learn that you're able to sell out your allies if you need to make an escape for yourself. Although it does look like there might be other reasons you can sacrifice an ally to make it out of Escape From Playtime from the following footage that we have for the game. Have a look and see if you'll be joining in with all of the other fans out there who are giving this Early Access a solid try. Who knows if this is going to be the next great expansion to the IP or not. There's only one way to find out.
Escape From Playtime — Early Access Launch
The doors of Playtime Co. are open once again, and something sinister is waiting inside. Mob Entertainment’s Escape From Playtime, a new co-op survival horror extraction game set in the Poppy Playtime universe, is available now in Steam Early Access.
The 1-8 player canonical co-op extraction game expands the Poppy Playtime universe in unexpected ways. Set after the infamous Hour of Joy but before the events of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, Escape From Playtime takes players back to the factory during a previously unexplored period in the franchise’s history.
For the first time, players can experience the horrors of the unforgiving Playtime Co. factory from the perspective of the Smiling Critters, the cute-yet-disturbing toy line first introduced in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3. Whether braving the decrepit halls alone or teaming up with friends, players must scavenge resources, evade deadly enemies, and complete increasingly dangerous assignments from a mysterious Voice promising freedom and a new home. But who is the Voice, and can it be trusted?
Escape From Playtime launches into Steam Early Access with all eight Smiling Critters available to play, including four unlocked through progression, plus expanded multiplayer support for up to eight players, thanks to community feedback during the Open Beta.
To celebrate the launch, players can also claim the Founders’ Pack free for the first 30 days, featuring exclusive alternate looks for all eight Smiling Critters and additional rewards.
Mob Entertainment plans to keep expanding Escape From Playtime through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, adding new areas, enemies, items, cosmetics, and gameplay features. The Early Access roadmap will evolve with community feedback, letting players help shape the game’s future.
Are you going to be hitting up the fun of Escape From Playtime now that it's in Early Access? Will this be more than just a server stress test for us all to pay to test out? Will this give us a solid bit of the story to see how things have progressed in the world? Are you glad to see that there will be spin-offs from the original indie horror game that we've had before? Let's talk about all of it and discuss it further in the comments below. We'll see what else we will get for Escape From Playtime in the future, and then share it all on the site for you as soon as we get anything. Watch for it all here, and follow along on all of our socials out there to see just what is on the way. We are trying to cover things across all of the pop culture and video game space, and there's no better way for you to keep up with all of it outside of that.
