Tape 101
The launch for Tape 101: Liminal Descent is here, and we can start racing around in our RC Car with Tape 101: Liminal Descent
We have yet another way to get lost in some of the liminal spaces out there today, with the full launch of Tape 101: Liminal Descent. A new PC title that 2H-Productions has been kicking around out there, offering up a demo, and now launching to the masses. As long as you're ready to head deeper into the spaces and drive around with some remote eyes. Those eyes being an RC car that you have control of when not roaming by yourself in Tape 101: Liminal Descent. A fun little twist to things out there, and it is now ready for us all to experience out in the wilds. Let's have a look at just what that will entail, if you haven't just started the download of the game by now.
Just like many other video games set in a liminal space setting, Tape 101: Liminal Descent puts us all deep in the space and with all of the other horrors that are stalking the world. We are going to need to find our way out by wandering the hallways, hiding from various things, and solving random puzzles that hinder us along the way. All fairly standard things to have to do. The difference in Tape 101: Liminal Descent will be that we'll have an RC Car to use as a scout in the area, which could make it a bit easier to stay alive. Not just by scouting, but it seems like we'll be able to trigger traps and lure enemies away with the car as well, so that could make this whole experience quite a bit easier to make it through. Have a look at the last trailer we have for the game to see all of that in action and if it is going to be a title you'll need to play right now.
Tape 101: Liminal Descent — Launch Trailer
You are stranded in a place built from repetitions - beige corridors, tiled walkways, empty offices - always the same, yet never quite aligned the same way.
This is a liminal world: a realm between spaces, where reality folds in on itself, and meaning starts to decay.
Humans were never meant to be here. Your only connection to the world you know is a small RC car with a camera - fragile, mechanical, and remote. It slips through vents, under doors, and into the cavities of this in-between place, fetching objects, flipping switches, and recording proof that the world still makes sense.
Scale and proportion betray logic: ceilings too low, hallways looping endlessly, rooms repeating like fragments of fading memory. The liminal space itself is the puzzle - an environment that reflects the mind, not the body.
As you move deeper, you begin to recognize that the architecture mirrors the stages of loss. The Kübler-Ross model - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance - unfolds not as emotions, but as places. Every chapter transforms grief into geography, turning each space into a physical manifestation of the human condition.
There are no entities hunting you. The threat is quieter: the slow erosion of purpose, the collapse of meaning, the possibility that understanding this place might cost you something essential.
It’s all about attention. The car is your method. The liminal is your language. Drive into the silence, read the spaces, and decide whether comprehension is a form of salvation - or another way to disappear.
Key Features:
- RC Car As Your Eyes - Scout unreachable areas, trigger mechanisms, and find the way forward.
- Liminal Architecture - Minimal, repetitive structures that distort perception, evoke unease, and conceal meaning.
- Puzzle-First Exploration - Spatial and timing-based puzzles revealed through observation rather than combat or evasion.
- Stages Of Grief - Each chapter reflects a phase of the Kübler-Ross model, blending emotion, memory, and space.
- Narrative Descent - Every solved secret draws you deeper into the in-between, where reality, memory, and acceptance begin to merge.
Are you going to be driving around in the world of Tape 101: Liminal Descent? Do you think that having the RC Car will be a massive boon to the style of horror that these games usually are? What will stop us from overusing the car to help navigate the whole world before taking a single step? How many ways out will there be, or will this narrative always lead us down a darker path in existence? Let's hear those thoughts down in the comment section of the page here. We'll see if there's anything else to share for Tape 101: Liminal Descent, though it's unlikely. To see if there is, though, watch the site and follow all of our socials to make certain you're as up-to-date on everything that we have out there. You'll be glad that you did.
