Grand Theft Auto
The gameplay for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there, and it looks like we are getting a whole lot more Grand Theft Auto
Just as we all had been promised, the massive update for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there and joins the ranks of games getting talked about for gamescom. Not that anyone thought that Rockstar Games needed the event to help spread the word of this title, but it happened nonetheless. Weirdly, it was all handled by Netflix for some reason, but we will not get into that level of weirdness to explore. Instead, we will just focus on what we had to see for Grand Theft Auto VI and why some of us are going to be insanely excited to see what will be hitting the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19th. More so, as this new extended look at the game does feel like it is showing off the final build, and we are only going to have to worry about how the online modes will be integrated in until the full launch of the game.
To start things off, it does look as if they all followed through on all of the hype that was being built for Grand Theft Auto VI leading up to the day. It does seem common that we would get a teaser as we did before, and then only get a short gameplay clip. That is not the case here, as we have close to a half-hour of footage to look at and see how the world has been expanded more in this version of the game. Even if a lot of the core gameplay does look as if it has been upcycled from the past Grand Theft Auto games, just with the new setting and using the various new characters in the mix. This is not a terrible thing, but outside of the story, characters, and setting, this is starting to feel a lot like the games we have played before. It could all be based on the little clips we have and no real direct gameplay to show how missions are going to start or any of the various other things that will lead into each of the events. Although it does look as if our two playable leads will have a lot more to work with than the crews we have had in the past, so that should be fun. But, outside of the visuals and little cinematic scenes that will play out, it does not feel like the actual gameplay loop is going to be altered all that much. You can have a long look at it all now, if you have not already jumped into the footage.
