The Sinking City
The Sinking City 2 has launched out there, and we can see where the story of The Sinking City is going to flow
All of the worlds seem to be bleeding over now, as The Sinking City 2 has officially launched out on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There is no more waiting to head into the darkness and see just how Frogwares will be carrying the story forward while also improving upon the various gameplay mechanics of the 1920s Arkham third-person horror game. I know I have seen some great leaps forward since the original version of The Sinking City, and as soon as I can get the game loaded up, I am going to be heading back into the madness. Although, if you are not as gung-ho on the game as I am, we do have one more look at things to help pull your sanity down a little bit to pick this one up.
There has been a good amount of gameplay to show off what we are going to be surviving in The Sinking City 2, along with a bit of the how. It does look as if they are using a lot of the same things that other horror games out there have popularized, along with the minimal HUDs to help keep us all guessing where and what we need to do. That is not that shocking from the IP so far. What this new look that we have for The Sinking City 2 is doing looks as if it is trying to force the horror story at us all a bit more, along with some new, creepy environments that we will need to survive out there. All while not spoiling much that we have not been able to read from the game's description since the announcement. That is to say, have a look at the launch trailer that we have and get excited to get home and play this whole story from start to finish.
The Sinking City 2 — Launch Trailer
Available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
Do you see just how this is taking everything from The Sinking City and making it better, or does it feel as if we might be on the boats a bit more out there? Will the lack of HUD drive you crazy, or will it be the Lovecraftian monsters who do that more for you? How are you feeling about all of the environments that we are getting here, and do you think that they have held the truly disturbing ones for the full play of the game? Let us have it all out there in the comment section of the page. The Sinking City 2 is out there, and there is no word on if we will have much more to share now that that is the case. If there is, we will have it on all of our social channels as well as the website for you. Please just keep on following all of those to see when that all happens.
