With each new iteration of the IP, we do seem to get a few new and old characters in the mix, and that is the case again in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Not overly surprising, as it would be nice to see Infinity Ward branch the narrative out a bit more than just the few badasses we normally get out there. All of that is to say, now that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is taking us into a new area of the world that we do not normally get to play in, it would make sense to have a whole new squad that we are going to follow. A new squad that we can meet right now just ahead of the October 23rd release of the campaign on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. As long as you are not going to be one of the gamers who throws in more money to play the campaign early, that is.
It is a bit obvious that you will be able to see the new squad in the following video that we have for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, but it does not do much to help fully flesh them out for us as of yet. Here we just get a nice little spinning shot of the various members from various countries getting ready for the fight. Interestingly, unlike what we have had in the past for Call Of Duty titles, here we get the team being more of their non-militant selves out there than we have before. Usually, we get the nice spinning shot of stoic fighters who might be using crass humor with each other. This new squad feels a bit more human as they discuss the various music they should be getting hyped to and the various countries of origin. All of which rather grounds them all in reality to me, along with giving us a feel for the voice acting that we can expect when the campaign rolls out there. Have a look and see if this is going to be the new squad that you are going to fall in love with in the game.

Were you expecting an action movie intro for each of the characters, or does this ground Call Of Duty a bit more in your eyes? Will this be the only team that we are going to have in the game, or will they have to shoehorn in some of the Marines from the other games to give us what fans usually want? How much licensed music are we going to have to deal with in the game, and will there be a way to turn it all off for those who want to stream the campaign?
